A poster design that works just perfectly with a bold and simple design; it just draws you in and keeps the anticipation high for although “Aliens” has gone on to become a benchmark for the sci-fi actioner at the time people knew it only as a sequel to the horror classic “Alien”. Signed (with character name) by the android ‘Bishop’ – Lance Henriksen at Horrorfied April 2025. Lovely clear signature in silver, which really pops against the the black background. The original British video film poster offered here is from first year of release on video, 1986 and is the same imagery as used for the cinema release earlier in 1986. It presents very well, with handling wear from signing and offered in original unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition. A very rare iconic British poster that represents a fine piece of movie memorabilia from a truly influential movie that changed the face of the modern sci-fi action movie forever and benefits from being autographed by one of the major cast members.

“This Time It’s War”
An alternative movie poster for James Cameron’s “Aliens”, that is unquestionably one of the best (if not the best) for the title. Adam Stothard’s limited edition (hand-numbered #65/85) art print could be accused of giving away much of the film’s climax but Ripley’s ‘get away from her you bitch’ is cinematic legend. This fine art giclee print is printed on Hahnemühle photo rag metallic paper and screen printed using a gloss enamel varnish Layer (over the Queen Mother & title) is absolutely stunning, focussing on the ferocious battle between Ripley (using the Power Loader) against the Xenomorph Queen. “Aliens” has gone on to become a benchmark for the sci-fi actioner. The alternative movie poster offered here is from 2023 and presents to excellent effect in original unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition that represents a fine piece of movie memorabilia and artwork from a truly influential movie that changed the face of the modern sci-fi action movie forever.

What is Giclee ?
Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork.
The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye). Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black.
Fantastic for reproductions which require maximum detail, giclées are most commonly found on watercolour paper or canvas, but can also be created on glass. Different types of paper will produce different effects. Matte paper works well behind glass due its lack of reflectivity, whilst the shine of a glossy finish can give an artwork a brighter appearance.

An alternative movie poster for James Cameron’s “Aliens”, that is unquestionably one of the best for the title. Being one of the most popular subjects for alternative movie posters, artist Roger Motzkus has created an incredible looking poster and one of my personal favourites for the movie. His hand-numbered #42/100 giclee screenprint is truly a stunning piece that has captured the alien and the actors’ likenesses with real accuracy and being a giclee print the colours have an amazing, vibrant finish. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect, absolutely beautiful and a desirable item of modern collectable movie memorabilia from a truly exciting film franchise.. “Aliens” has gone on to become a benchmark for the sci-fi actioner. “Mysterious deaths surround an American ambassador. Could the child that he is raising actually be the Antichrist? The Devil’s own son?”
Designed by Tom Jung this advance teaser for Richard Donner’s 1976 horror classic “The Omen” is a stunning example of horror art. The ominous wording YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED and the film’s title (the 666 featured in the O of OMEN is a great touch) are prominent when placed upon the deep black background with Damien illustrated in silhouette with his shadow depicted as that of a jackal. It’s such a simple design but so, so clever and perfectly suited to the portrait format offered here. From first year of release, 1976 this US one sheet presents to excellent effect, benefitting from conservation linen backing, with the original fold lines touched in to give a rolled impression. A personal favourite and an impressive item of original cinematic movie memorabilia from one of the defining horror movie’s of the genre.
Trivia: Harvey Stephens, as Damien, was largely chosen for this role from the way he attacked Richard Donner during auditions. Donner asked all the little boys to “come at him” as if they were attacking Katherine Thorn during the church wedding scene. Stephens screamed and clawed at Donner’s face, and kicked him in the groin during his act. Donner whipped the kid off him, ordered the kid’s blond hair dyed black and cast him as Damien.

Featuring a country uniques design, this combination of photographic images and artwork (Tom Jung) for Richard Donner’s 1976 horror classic “The Omen” is a stunning example of horror art. The film is famous for its grisly deaths, and many of those are highlighted here – Father Brennan (Patrick Troughton) speared through in the churchyard and the journalist Jennings (David Warner) decapitated by a sheet of plate glass. If you didn’t want to know too much about the plot then you would have been well advised to avoid this particular poster in 1976. This originally folded (as issued) Japanese B2 presents very well. A personal favourite and an impressive item of original cinematic movie memorabilia from one of the defining horror movie’s of the genre.

It’s such a simple text based design but so, so clever and perfectly suited to the portrait format offered here. With artwork by Timothy Pittides this limited edition alternative movie poster for Richard Donner’s 1976 horror classic “The Omen” is an impressive example of horror art that truly evokes the mystique and symbolism surrounding the movie with the artist having this to say about the commission – “When Rob Jones first approached me about THE OMEN, my brain went in a million different directions. Any time I consider a licensed property, my first thought is ‘How do I do this in a way that is unique in concept, and to me? The film is littered with memorable visuals, many of which propel it beyond its genre, and into the realm of pop culture consciousness. Ultimately, rather than recreating a literal scene, I wanted to portray something that occurs outside the frames of the film. Something sinister in nature with a hint of macabre beauty: Damien’s entrance into our world. This idea felt as natural as it did disturbing. Inking this beast of an image took close to 175 hours, and includes 55 colour layers done by hand. The artwork was rendered larger than I normally do to make sure all the dotwork stayed within correct proportions when elevated to poster size. It was tedious, but well worth it in the end”. From 2020 this hand-numbered example is #2 from a print run of only 100 and is presented rolled, flat and unfolded (as issued) and displays to excellent effect. A stunning piece of country unique British film poster artwork based upon the original Mike Francis imagery for one the 80’s finest movie’s…. James Cameron’s “The Terminator”. Spawning a number of big screen sequels, TV series’ this is arguably the most influential cinematic offering of the decade ? In 2014 the BFI revealed a special collection of one night only screenings celebrating all things Sci-Fi. Many masterpieces were screened during the event including Cameron’s iconic “The Terminator”. The film marked its 30th anniversary at the event with Francis’ original Quad design reworked by the Steve Crisp IX Gallery depicting Arnie with spiky hair. From 2014 this beautiful near perfect rolled (as issued) example is offered unrestored with minimal handling wear and deep unfaded colours…An excellent example that will not disappoint. A very scarce poster for a film that launched the Hollywood careers of James Cameron & of course Arnie, in his most defining role that represents highly collectable movie poster memorabilia for one of cinema’s greatest movies and a cultural phenomenon.
Trivia: Arnold Schwarzenegger originally wanted to play Kyle Reese. But James Cameron had a different idea and saw Schwarzenegger in the title role of The Terminator and Cameron said to Schwarzenegger, “This movie is not about the hero. It’s about The Terminator.”

Extremely rare, “The Terminator” original Czech poster (landscape format) movie poster from the 1992 re-release in Czechoslovakia. Re-released just two years after the first “Terminator” movie was screened in 1990, this release coincided with “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” premiering in Czechoslovakia. It actually features Arnold Schwarzenegger in T2 costume on the right half of the poster with photos of the original “Terminator” cast on the left. Originally flat/unfolded this displays very well and would make for a fantastic addition to any collection or as a one-off display piece. An eye-catching design and a fine piece of country unique artwork that represents highly collectible movie poster memorabilia for one of cinema’s greatest movies of all time and a pop culture phenomenon that blasted then newcomer’s Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s career into orbit and made James Cameron a Hollywood name.
Trivia: Shots through the Terminator’s vision shows a dump of the ROM assembler code for the Apple II operating system. If you own an Apple II, enter at the basic prompt: ] call -151 * p This will give you the terminator view. Other code visible is written in COBOL.
