A must watch with an impressive number of film posters to match including the first year of release, 1960 Japanese B2 offered here A truly great design that emphasises the “7” with a series of all-action colour illustrations contained within its outline, off set against a beautiful light gold background. A simple yet very effective designed film poster with artwork that is unique to the Japanese release. The example offered here is presented in excellent unrestored, folded (as issued) condition. It displays beautifully. This rarely tuns up in such high grade condition and represents a fine piece of very rare original and collectable movie memorabilia for one of the big screen’s greatest & most loved films.

    Trivia: Steve McQueen desperately wanted to act in this film but couldn’t at first because the schedule of his TV series, Wanted: Dead or Alive (1958), wouldn’t allow it. He crashed a car and while he was “out sick”, recovering from the accident he shot this film.

A must watch with an impressive number of posters to match, including this magnificent large commercial poster printed in 1999 with impressive painted artwork by Renato Casaro paying tribute to Sturges’ masterpiece and featuring the Seven in all their glory – Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Robert Vaughn, Horst Bucholz and Brad Dexter. There are inferior copies of this poster available but this is the original high quality first release for which Casaro was commissioned and printed on to a velum like art paper which gives the appearance of canvas. Presented in excellent unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition that presents and displays beautifully. This rarely tuns up in such high grade condition and represents a fine piece of very rare collectable movie memorabilia for one of the big screen’s greatest & most loved films.

    John Carpenter’s tale of alien occupation is part horror, part Sci-Fi and part social satire, all viewed through dark sunglasses of Roddy Piper . This original They Live movie poster is probably the scarcest of all the John Carpenter paper from the series of four (Escape From New York, Prince of Darkness, The Fog & They Live) 2018 remastered re-releases and a very rare find in such excellent condition as offered here…The original 2018 Japanese B2 film poster for John Carpenter’s  They Live was originally rolled (as issued) & presents in exceptional original unrestored condition with great detailed artwork (unique to the Japanese re-release, as the other posters produced for these releases all feature new re-imaging artwork by Matt Ferguson) & strong vibrant colours.  Extremely rare this example represents very collectable & desirable original film memorabilia from one of the greatest and most influential director’s ever working in  the sci-fi / horror / action genre.

    Of the four poster designs created for the 1975 release of Ken Russell’s “Tommy” in Japan this style B is by far the rarest and visually the best. Featuring country unique Japanese artwork the “Christ like” imagery of Tommy (Roger Daltrey) his head adorned with a crown of poppies and bleeding torso pinned by poppies is a memorable sight. Complemented by border artwork of the all-star cast (The Who, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton, Jack Nicholson, Oliver Reed to name just a few.) stands out as a great looking poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this rare example presents very well and as it features some of the greatest names ever in both rock music and the cinema represents a fantastic piece of highly desirable, collectable entertainment memorabilia.

    A classic movie poster from a classic 90’s crime thriller. A lovely rolled (as issued) Japanese B2 movie poster for Bryan Singer’s 1995 thought provoking mystery thriller “The Usual Suspects”. The clever imagery has the memorable line-up scene featuring the five ‘usual suspects’ – Kevin Pollak, Stephen Baldwin, Benicio Del Toro, Gabriel Byrne and Kevin Spacey. This Japanese poster design shows Kevin Spacey WITH a watch on. Many other posters from the U.S. and other countries had the watch removed as it gave clues to the film’s surprise ending. This example displays to excellent effect and represents a great looking item of original cinematic movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: Verbal Kint says, “The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist.” This quote from the French poet Charles Baudelaire also appears in End of Days (1999), also featuring Gabriel Byrne and Kevin Pollak.

    Undoubtedly, one of the great concert footage films; David Bowie in “Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars” . The historic farewell performance of the king of glam rock; directed by D.A. Pennebaker and featuring the award winning British musician David Bowie under his ‘Ziggy’ persona with his group The Spiders from Mars – Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder and Mick Woodmansey – performing at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on 3rd July 1973. This original Japanese B1 (equivalent to a one-sheet) is a truly great find with imagery unique to this very limited re-release (only happened in Japan) in 2022. Presented in near perfect unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition the imagery features a fantastic, rarely seen close up of Bowie in Ziggy persona – stunning, really doing justice to the iconic musician. Incredibly scarce with a very low print run this really is an exciting item of rock / movie collectible from one of the most influential icons of modern pop culture…David Bowie.
