“From Roger Moore With Love” is a 2024 documentary charting the life and screen success of Roger Moore using a lot of unseen footage taken by Moore himself, at home and on set and cleverly uses the accomplished actor and comedian, Steve Coogan – doing a near perfect impression of Moore narrating the story with additional input from a number of close friends and Bond co-stars – Joan Collins, Jane Seymour, Michael Caine, Pierce Brosnan and Frank Sinatra. An approach that works really well. Receiving a very limited number of cinematic screenings in a marketing campaign that coincided with the Blu Ray release, these country of origin UK quad posters are incredibly rare and don’t turn up very often especially in this excellent unrestored, originally rolled (as issued) high grade condition. It presents and displays superbly and represents a fine example of a scarce and extremely collectable James Bond related movie memorabilia.
Trivia: In his review for The Guardian, Peter Bradshaw gave the documentary four stars out of five, but criticized the failure to mention Sir Roger Moore‘s performance in The Man Who Haunted Himself (1970) (which was also Moore’s favorite movie role).

A very cool, stylish film poster from the mid 1960’s that perfectly typifies the period and the style of the artist; Bob Peak. A beautiful UK quad film poster for Gordon Douglas’ 1967 super-spy, James Bond parody sequel “In Like Flint”. This really is a fantastic looking poster ‘of the time’ – focusing on the star; James Coburn in his role as the super suave secret agent Derek Flint with colourful ‘swinging sixties’ stylised artwork. Peak’s similar film posters (“Modesty Blaise”, “Gambit”, “Our Man Flint” share this common style and concentrate on the stars all colourfully delineated then offset against a pale background. It is a style that works well and certainly impresses. Because of the white background (which marks easily & highlights the slightest defect) this poster is hard to find in high grade condition. The originally folded (as issued) unrestored example offered here has some very minimal handling & age wear but colours are bright and unfaded and the background a true bright white with no shading/ghosting to the fold lines. A fine investment grade piece that represents a very collectable piece of desirable original movie memorabilia.

“Agents, Villains and The Babes”
Commissioned in 1998 as one of a series of poster designs intended to promote the James Bond Exhibition held at the Roemer – Und Pelizaeus – Museum, Hildesheim Germany. Titled “Agents, Villains and The Babes” the stunning 007 artwork by regular Bond poster artist Robert McGinnis, features a highly detailed all-action montage from Bond’s previous adventures. However the border artwork is made up of beautiful, largely naked or scantily clad women which after consultation with the Museum Board was considered too risqué to use in publicising the Exhibition so only a small number of the initial print run were all that was printed. The example offered here is from this first print run and should not be confused with the later Limited Edition lithograph issued by McGinnis himself which has the censored artwork which was also used for the cover of the Sunday Times November 7th 1999 edition (photo for reference). Originally flat and unfolded (as issued) this amazing example displays and presents to excellent effect. Guaranteed original this represents a highly desirable piece of original James Bond memorabilia with impressive unmistakably Robert McGinnis 007 artwork.

“The name’s Bond … James Bond”
Issued in 1998 as one of a series of poster designs to promote the James Bond Exhibition held at the Roemer – Und Pelizaeus – Museum, Hildesheim Germany. The striking imagery by Johann Zambryski features an abstract pop-art rendition of Sean Connery and is the rarest of the designs with only 50 being printed and exclusively issued to Museum Staff and never offered for sale to the general public. Originally rolled (as issued) this stunning example displays and presents to excellent effect and was likely unused. “Diamonds Are Forever” Japanese STB/Tatekan film poster, presented in totally original unrestored condition. An absolutely beautiful 1971 original movie poster for Sean Connery’s final (official) outing as Ian Fleming’s super-spy James Bond 007 in Guy Hamilton’s “Diamonds Are Forever”. Robert McGinnis was commissioned to provide the initial imagery and (in my opinion) created one of the finest Bond posters ever with the format of the Japanese tatekan my favourite way to display McGinnis’ artwork – the central figures are highlighted and the oversized 007 logo never lets you forget you are going to see a James Bond movie. McGinnis’ detailed and stylish illustrations perfectly capture the whole ‘action, adventure, glamour’ Bond theme; pretty much the ‘perfect’ 007 poster as Bond travels the globe from Amsterdam to the casinos and neon lights of Las Vegas. Incredibly hard to source in this high grade condition, whether it’s the coloured inks or the type of paper used, the colours are incredible rich with real depth and saturation. This originally unfolded, rolled (as issued) example presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a fine example of a scarce and extremely collectable James Bond vintage movie poster.
Trivia: Sir Sean Connery made the most of his time on-location in Las Vegas: “I didn’t get any sleep at all. We shot every night, I caught all the shows and played golf all day. On the weekend I collapsed, boy, did I collapse. Like a skull with legs.” He also played the slot machines, and once delayed a scene because he was collecting his winnings.

In exceptional rolled condition this looks fantastic. Featuring the design talents of B.Newhart, M.Crawford, A.Goldschmidt & T.Keller. Great cool image of Bond’s smoking gun ! After the ‘Star Wars’ style excesses of the previous movie “Moonraker” this is more of a return to a realistic spy thriller in John Glen’s “For Your Eyes Only” and it is director John Glen who has personally signed this poster – a lovely clear signature in black pen on the red background above the title. This original US one sheet is from first year of release 1981 featuring iconic artwork that incorporates the “legs” aspect of Bill Gold’s design and Brian Bysouth’s finished artwork. There is no doubting that this originally folded (as issued) example displays very well and is probably the most recognisable of all the Roger Moore, Bond posters and represents an impressive example of original collectable James Bond movie memorabilia.

After the excesses of the previous movie “Moonraker” this is more of return to a realistic spy thriller in John Glen’s “For Your Eyes Only”. This Australian daybill film poster from first year of release 1981 features the memorable worldwide artwork campaign that incorporates the “legs” aspect of Bill Gold’s design and Brian Bysouth’s beautifully detailed finished all-action artwork. The original movie poster offered here is presented in exceptional unrestored, folded (as issued) condition and is perfectly suited to the thinner portrait style of the daybill. Colours are bright, vibrant and unfaded. Hugely desirable and very collectable, it would be a worthy addition to any collection of James Bond movie memorabilia and is a truly impressive 007 poster.

One for the true Bond collectors and my personal favourite Connery Bond movie. An original Swiss one-sheet for 007’s second screen outing “From Russia With Love”. This photo montage style features striking mixture of key scenes and characters. I particularly like the large 007 logo with Connery silhouette which runs across the bottom. The design is exclusive to the 1970s Swiss re-release and not found anywhere else. Presented in excellent unrestored folded (as issued) condition this presents superbly with minimal handling wear and represents a fantastic piece of collectable James Bond cinematic memorabilia from the Sean Connery era.
Trivia: Although he had his reservations about the choice of Sir Sean Connery for the part of James Bond, after seeing him in this movie, Ian Fleming was completely won over by the actor. In fact, as a result, Fleming added a Scottish ancestry to Bond’s character in later novels.
