A beautiful alternative movie poster by Hero Complex Gallery SIGNED BY SIX OF THE CAST and featuring the incredible horror artwork of Vance Kelly for one of the best vampire films ever made…Joel Schumacher’s “The Lost Boys”. This 2018 hand-numbered (#61/325) limited edition release is a proper horror poster as leader of The Lost Boys – David (Kiefer Sutherland) is the main focus with his vampire family and would be vampire hunters blended into the background and printed using an incredible colour palette of blood reds inks. For a nice finishing flourish, Kelly has cleverly framed his subjects in a V (for vampire) design. Presented in excellent condition this rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and has been signed by six of the cast, who in addition to their name have added their character or a quote; Kiefer Sutherland – David, Jason Patric – Michael, Alex Winter – Marko, Billy Wirth – Dwayne, Tim Cappello (saxophone player) – I still believe is and G Tom Mac – Cry Little Sister. An impressive piece of horror poster artwork and is a hugely desirable alternative movie poster that with the addition of the signatures makes for an incredible piece of memorabilia. This is THE teenage angst vampire movie with this high grade poster showcasing the teen vampires in all their undead glory…“Something I never could stomach about Santa Carla, all the damn vampires!”

“Act like you own the place…”
Through films like Okja and Snowpiercer, director Bong Joon Ho has dazzled audiences with his unique knack for blending genres to tell layered, one-of-a-kind stories and now in the South Korean black comedy thriller “Parasite” he is receiving the critical and commercial acclaim he so richly deserves. To complement the Oscar success the hugely respected alternative movie poster printer Mondo commissioned Rory Kurtz to design a poster to complement the success. Winning four (4) Oscars at the 2020 ceremony, including Best Picture, Directing, International Feature Film and Writing (Original Screenplay). Kurtz’ artwork captures the seemingly picture-perfect moment between the happily rich Parks completely oblivious to what’s unfolding around them, and the Kim family relegated to the shadows struggling with their own complex feelings toward such wealth and privilege. This is a limited edition timed released, hand-numbered #616/2120. The example offered here presents and displays to excellent effect being originally rolled (as issued) with incredibly strong colours. An outstanding and extremely scarce ‘modern’ art/film poster that represents a fantastic piece of movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The film makes several nods to Alfred Hitchcock throughout. Stairs are used as a motif, voyeurism is used as characters watch scenes through windows 14 times, and (most obviously) there is a brief glimpse of an out of place Alfred Hitchcock collection in the Park’s home.

A superb and eye-catching alternative movie poster by Graham Humphreys’ for “Planet Terror”, Robert Rodriguez‘ homage to the ‘Grindhouse’ movies of the Seventies. A clever, stylish design as heroes, zombies and monsters adorn the background with a centre-piece which focuses on the iconic Rose McGowan‘s ‘machine gun legged’ character – Cherry Darling. Presented in excellent unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition with amazingly vibrant colour tones this hand-numbered Artist Proof edition from 2021 is hand-numbered #AP 2/5 and has been signed by Graham Humphrey’s that represents a an amazing piece of cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: Michael Parks reprises his character as Sheriff Earl McGraw in Planet Terror (2007). He also played Sheriff Earl McGraw in Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), as well as Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), and Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004).

“Poltergeist” is a no holds barred, roller coaster ride through the supernatural world and back to ours from the creative minds of Steven Spielberg, Tobe Hooper, Jerry Goldsmith, and Beatrice Straight that brings a modern take to the haunted house genre and it’s effects on a normal suburban family who live there. The success of “Predator” when released in 1987 meant a sequel was always inevitable, however the action hero of the first movie wasn’t available – move over Arnie and welcome Danny Glover. Not only was there a new direction for the hero but the jungles of South America were swapped for a crime ridden Los Angeles. A clever follow up in many ways as it really does continue where the first movie finished as the Government, now fully aware of an other worldly being try to turn the tables and trap a predator – bad move. This 2021 Private Commission by Juan Carlos Ruiz Burgos features spectacular artwork, and is actually the first time a licensed print for “Predator 2” has been issued, and frankly it would be a hard to find a better one as Burgos really has created something special. Titled ‘The Concrete Jungle‘ it is printed on Cougar White paper using fifteen (15) coloured inks which includes a glitter varnish used to mimic the wet skin of the Predator and a bright luminous green glow in the dark ink for the title. Hand-numbered #45 from a print run 110 this beautiful example displays and presents to excellent effect and represents an incredible looking piece of modern cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: Keyes (Gary Busey) is the first character to ever use the word “predator” to refer to the creature on-screen when he says “we’ve prepared a trap for this predator”. The word “predators” is also used by Isabelle in Predators (2010), but she uses it to refer to the human characters in the film, not the Predator creatures. It wasn’t until The Predator (2018) that the creature itself is referred to as ‘predator’ again, with someone adding that the term ‘hunter’ would be more appropriate.

“Prince of Darkness” sees John Carpenter not just in the director’s chair, he wrote the soundtrack and also the screenplay under the pseudonym Martin Quatermass, which is a direct homage to Bernard Quatermass, the lead character in Hammer’s film and TV series that started with The Quatermass Experiment and that features several elements in common with Carpenter’s story. The film is the second in what the director calls his ‘Apocalypse Trilogy’ that started with The Thing (1982) and ended with In the Mouth of Madness (1994) and is the result of Carpenter’s interest in theoretical physics and atomic theory as well as the idea of an ultimate evil or ‘anti-god’ combined with the physics-based concept of matter and anti-matter. Carpenter always a well regarded and popular film maker has enjoyed a huge renaissance in more recent years so it was no surprise that this title was one of four seminal movies by the director re-released by Studio Canal in 2018, remastered in 4K, with the others being “They Live”, “Escape From New York” and “The Fog”. All four movies had a strictly limited cinematic release and were accompanied a newly designed poster campaign (quads and one-sheets) by leading artist Matt Ferguson. Ferguson’s unique artistic style is evident throughout the four, each with its very own unique colour palette. A number of these full-size 30″ x 40″ UK quad styles were also released as a limited edition art print by Vice Press. Identical to the cinematic quad, in fact exactly the same – same paper, printer etc these were issued as timed releases each signed and hand-numbered by Matt Ferguson. Offered here is one of these signed art prints numbered #48 from a print run of only 184. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents in excellent condition. A cool, cult poster that represents very collectable & desirable original film memorabilia from one of the greatest and most influential director’s who is still actively working in the film industry.
Trivia: John Carpenter claims to have been fascinated with religion ever since watching the old Hammer horror films and how Holy Water would destroy vampires.

Based upon Rob Bottin’s iconic ‘robo’ suit design Paul Mann produced the perfect alternative movie poster to complement his graphics. A truly striking image for Paul Verhoeven’s ultra violent sci-fi masterpiece “Robocop” that is perfectly suited to the portrait format of this edition. Robocop is offset against a colourful background of supporting characters and action imagery, that are made to stand out when placed in front of the black background. It gives a depth that gives an almost 3D effect to the colour imagery. Printed by Mad Duck in 2022 this limited edition art print is hand-numbered #47 from a print run of 200. Artist Saniose has produced the perfect alternative movie poster for Paul Verhoeven’s ultra violent sci-fi masterpiece “Robocop” Titled the Battle Damage edition Robocop is offset against a colourful background of action packed imagery and supporting characters, including the iconic ED 209. “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is a new concept for the Star Wars franchise originally created by George Lucas and set before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. The first in a series of ‘standalone’ films, introducing a new group of heroes (& a well known villain) as the Rebellion makes a risky move to steal the plans to the Death Star, setting up the epic saga to follow. Released as a private commission in conjunction with Acme Archives in 2024, this Limited Edition fine art print for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” features beautifully illustrated artwork with an incredible colour palette by Kwow. The hero of this chapter, Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) takes prominence supported by the supporting cast, some familiar Star Wars mainstays and the phenomenally huge Death Star dominating the background, hinting at the enormous task the “rebellion” has ahead of them. Considering this film takes place mere days before the original film, the costume designers recreated Vader’s look down to the last detail.

One of the greatest and most influential gangster movies of all time and this 2022 limited edition art print by Matt Ferguson and Florey is one of the best alternative movie posters produced for Brian De Palma’s “Scarface”. Hand-signed by both artists this artist proof edition released by Vice Press features a key scene from the movie as Tony Montana sits brooding in his darkened study awaiting the violent and bloody onslaught he knows is coming with the rug cleverly illustrated to resemble a river of blood. A fantastic example of highly desirable movie memorabilia, that’s very cool and looks incredible.
Trivia: The international corporation set up by Saddam Hussein to launder money from his various enterprises was called Montana Management after the Scarface (1983) main character.

Jonathan Demme’s “The Silence of the Lambs” is one of the best horror thriller movies ever made; excellent Award winning performances, full of dark humour and gory thrills. For this 2023 Mad Duck release, artist Paul Mann has produced a scene based alternative movie poster. The scene featured is a pivotal scene as Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) meets with Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal Lecter) for the first time and it’s the only scene in the movie in which both actors actually appear in the same frame. Screen print finish with varnish over the glass, this hand-numbered example #180/250 is presented in excellent rolled (as issued) condition that display superbly and represents a fine item of movie poster memorabilia.
Trivia: When Sir Anthony Hopkins found out that he was cast as Dr. Hannibal Lecter, based on his performance as Dr. Frederick Treves in The Elephant Man (1980), he questioned director Jonathan Demme, and said “But Dr. Treves was a good man”, to which Demme replied “So is Lecter, he is a good man too. Just trapped in an insane mind.”
