“House of 1000 Corpses” is a stylish, gore-laden 2003 offering which marks marks the directorial debut of Trash/Industrial Artist Musician Rob Zombie. Largely unheard of outside Zombie’s fiercely loyal fanbase it grew to be a cult horror classic, proving hugely influential for the low budget flicks that followed. Because of a very limited cinema release schedule and a low print run these posters are genuinely rare and hard to find. This originally rolled (as issued) 2003 UK quad displays superbly with great horror imagery from British artist Graham Humphreys and represents a fine example of horror memorabilia.
Trivia: Otis’ and Baby’s bizarre rants during the “home movie” segments are inspired by the Charles Manson family’s supposed home movies.

This originally rolled (as issued) 2024 limited edition fine art print (hand-numbered #8/150) by Matt Ryan Tobin displays superbly with great horror imagery, as Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding takes centre stage in incredible kaleidoscope pf colour. Screen printed using glow in the dark inks the whole poster takes on a very different and eerie look when the lights go down (see additional image). A personal favourite and one the best offerings of 2024 that represents a fine example of horror memorabilia and a perfect example of why alternative movie posters are becoming so collectable.

Steven Spielberg’s ‘Jaws’ is probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. It also caused a surge in cases of aqua phobia (fear of water) and that’s largely attributable to Roger Kastel’s original marketing campaign who created one of the best and most memorable movie poster images ever ! So why reinvent it ? Well, it’s just so popular and one of the most licensed of all titles when it comes to the growing market for alternative movie posters. This artist signed and hand-numbered (#19/25) limited edition Artist Proof print by Graham Humphreys is a real eye-catcher and is considered one of the best and most desirable currently produced; incredible character driven imagery of Chief Brody, Quint, Hooper and of course the 25ft great white shark. Trivia: Several decades after the film’s release, Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner, walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed that the menu had an “Alex Kintner Sandwich.” She commented that she had played his mother so many years ago; the owner of the restaurant ran out to meet her, and he was none other than Jeffrey Voorhees, who had played her son. They had not seen each other since the original movie shoot.

Trivia: Unused music composed for this film was later used by Ennio Morricone in Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight (2015). Ironically, Morricone’s Thing score was nominated for a Razzie for worst score, while his score for Hateful Eight won him an Oscar.

A clever, stylish design as heroes, zombies and monsters adorn the background with a centre-piece which focuses on the iconic Rose McGowan‘s ‘machine gun legged’ character – Cherry Darling. Presented in excellent unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition with amazingly vibrant colour tones this hand-numbered Artist Proof edition from 2021 is hand-numbered #AP 2/5 and has been signed by Graham Humphrey’s that represents a an amazing piece of cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: Michael Parks reprises his character as Sheriff Earl McGraw in Planet Terror (2007). He also played Sheriff Earl McGraw in Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), as well as Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003), and Kill Bill: Vol. 2 (2004).

Described by The News of the World as the ‘sickest carnival of slaughter ever seen’...“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” has become one of the most debated films of all time bringing (at the time) nauseating, forceful horror to the screen with a focussed realism that was new to mainstream cinema. Arguments raged as most councils and cinemas across the country banned it’s release (The full fascinating story of the censorship battle is well worth checking out on the official BBFC website.) with only a handful of cinemas eventually bowing to public demand and showing the Film. Reimagined on an incredible scale and one of the most licensed titles for an alternative movie poster – it takes something special to stand out from the crowd and Graham Humphreys’ 2023 release certainly does that; horror art at its finest. Printed for Texas Frightmare Weekend and only available to purchase from the Mondo booth, this signed and hand-numbered (AP 28/30) artist proof print is an outstanding tribute to Tobe Hooper’s ground breaking movie, introducing one of the horror genre’s most iconic characters and a very rare and collectable alternative movie poster for perhaps the most influential cult horror film of the modern era…“There are moments when we cannot believe that what is happening is really true. Trivia: Ed Gein – on whom “Leatherface” was loosely based–was not a true serial killer, as he actually only killed two people, both of them women. He was however, a graverobber. He stole body parts–only female–from many different graves. He kept some of the parts in his refrigerator, and skinned one corpse and wore the skin as a dress.

Perhaps one of the most defining images in cinematic history and certainly up there with Karloff’s Frankenstein monster as the most memorable of the horror genre – Linda Blair as the possessed Regan. This alternative movie poster by horror artist supreme, Graham Humphreys for William Friedkin’s Oscar winning horror masterpiece “The Exorcist” is a striking example of horror artwork, featuring some incredible characterisations and an amazing colour palette – from orange to sickly green/grey. The limited edition fine art print offered here has been signed by the artist, Humphreys and hand-numbered #9 from a print run of only 59 and in addition hand-signed by Linda Blair, who has added her character name ‘Regan’ and the annotation ‘Sweet Dreams’. All of Blair’s handwriting has been written in silver ink pen again a dark background and absolutely pops from the imagery. The poster was signed by Blair at Horrorfied 2, Crawley, Surrey on March 28th. Hugely oversubscribed, this scarce print was sold out prior to release and presents and displays to excellent effect. Originally flat and unfolded (as issued) this beautiful example represents a hard to find piece of cinematic horror memorabilia for this much revered and hugely influential Oscar winning horror movie.
Trivia: When Regan projectile vomits at Father Karras, the vomit was intended to hit Jason Miller in the chest, but the plastic tubing misfired, hitting him in the face. His reaction of shock and disgust while wiping away the vomit is genuine, and Miller admitted in interviews that he was very angered by this mistake.

Striking alternative movie poster for Joel Schumacher’s cult 1987 vampire classic “The Lost Boys”, featuring artwork by celebrated British illustrator Graham Humphreys.
Humphreys is one of Britain’s most recognisable horror film illustrators, with a career spanning more than four decades. He became closely associated with the genre during the 1980s through his work for Palace Pictures, creating memorable British poster artwork for films including “The Evil Dead”, “Evil Dead II” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street”. Influenced by horror cinema and the visual energy of the British punk scene, Humphreys developed a distinctive painted style that has become particularly associated with the golden age of 1980s horror. Remarkably, he continues to produce his artwork using traditional paint on paper rather than digital illustration.
For “The Lost Boys”, Humphreys’ wonderfully atmospheric composition brings together the film’s principal characters, with Kiefer Sutherland as David dominating the artwork in full vampire form, surrounded by Corey Haim, Jami Gertz and members of the vampire gang. The dark blue and blood-red palette perfectly captures the stylish gothic horror of the film, while the famous tagline, “Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It’s fun to be a vampire.”, appears across the top.
This beautiful poster measures 24 x 36 inches and is hand-numbered 33/87 from the limited edition. It is rolled (as issued) and presented in excellent condition.
A fantastic combination of one of the defining vampire films of the 1980s and the work of an artist whose imagery has become synonymous with British horror poster design…“Something I never could stomach about Santa Carla, all the damn vampires!”
Trivia: In the cave of the Lost Boys, you can see a poster of Jim Morrison, who recorded the original version of “People are Strange” with The Doors. Also, when Star and Laddie are being carried into Sam’s room, you can see a poster of Echo & The Bunnymen, who recorded the version used in the movie.

A superb and eye-catching alternative movie poster by Graham Humphreys’ for the cult dark comedy horror “What We Do in the Shadows”. Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement.created the clever idea of a family of vampires living together under the same roof and the struggles they encounter in modern day life. Each vampire housemate bears some resemblance to a past screen vampire – Nosferatu, David (Lost Boys), Dracula (Gary Oldman), Edward (Twilight zone) and Louis fromInterview With the Vampire. And it’s these five who feature on this 2015 Hand-Numbered (#AP 39/40) Artist Proof print that has also been signed by the artist – Graham Humphrey. Presented in excellent unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition with amazingly vibrant colour tones that truly pop from the paper (the photo doesn’t do this justice)it almost appears to be painted. A super-cool piece of cinematic memorabilia and artwork.
Trivia: The hill where the vampires have a run-in with the werewolves is the same hill filmed in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), where Frodo and the hobbits are running from the Black Rider and hiding under the roots of a tree.
