Graham Humphreys’ beautifully rendered artwork for Wes Craven’s “A Nightmare on Elm Street” introduced the world to one of horror’s most evil and greatest personalities: Freddy Krueger. Setting a high bench mark for modern horror artwork Humphreys’ country unique imagery for the UK quad design is one of the most sought after film posters of the 80’s and the horror genre. Graham Humpreys‘ has been dubbed England’s greatest living horror artist and it’s not hard to see why when you see this beautiful UK quad film poster from first year of release 1984. Totally original and unrestored, this rolled (as issued) example is presented in excellent condition with unfaded dark black/blue colour tones and very minimal age and handling wear. The best Extremely scarce and a must have for the serious collector it represents a fantastic item of horror movie memorabilia. The best I have ever offered for sale or seen – it really is exceptional and perfect for investment or to just enjoy.
Trivia: The very first time we see Freddy in the movie, he isn’t being played by Robert Englund, but by Special Effects man Charles Belardinelli, as Belardinelli was the only one who knew exactly how to cut the glove and insert the blades.

“Stay on the road…Keep clear of the moors…Beware the moon, lads.”
John Landis’ “An American Werewolf in London” is one of the best werewolf movies ever made, full of dark humour and gory thrills. As most people know, this has one of the best human/werewolf transformation scenes in cinematic history. Unlike modern monster/horror movies of today, this film has no CGI or computer-aided special effects; what you see on the screen is a physical production made piece for which Rick Baker won the Oscar. This signed Artist Proof (AP) alternative movie poster by Graham Humphreys is a proper horror poster. Humphreys has cleverly included all the main characters, David (Naughton) becoming the werewolf and the suitably named ‘Slaughtered Lamb’. Presented in excellent condition this rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and is an impressive piece of horror poster artwork and is a hugely desirable alternative movie poster.

Trivia: Rick Baker claimed to have been disappointed by the amount of time spent shooting the face changing shot for the transformation after having spent months working on the mechanism. John Landis only required one take lasting about seven seconds. Baker felt he had wasted his time until seeing the film with an audience that applauded during that one seven second shot.

“Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas”
Sam Raimi’s “Army of Darkness: Evil Dead 3” is not as rooted in the horror genre as its predecessors – although it has its horrific elements, it seems to be first and foremost a dark fantasy comedy – with lots of one-liners and slapstick and gore. It’s kind of a delirious combination of horror, comedy, fantasy, action, and adventure, but it’s definitely the horror element that comes across in this 2017 alternative movie poster from Graham Humphreys. The medieval dead and undead never looked scarier and are out in full force as the hero from the previous two instalments – Ash (Bruce Campbell) cuts a worried looking figure. Originally rolled (as issued) the example offered here is truly exceptional; This limited edition it has been signed by Humphreys and hand-numbered #48/100 and displays and presents to excellent effect with amazing imagery and deep, rich colours. The horror ‘fan-boy’ love for Sam Raimi & Bruce Campbell is well deserved with related memorabilia much sought after, making this a hugely collectable piece.

The King of COOL just got a lot cooler as presented here by Graham Humphreys on this beautiful limited edition Artist Proof alternative movie poster from 2018, undoubtedly one of the best Steve McQueen images. His performance as tough cop Frank Bullitt cemented his iconic movie star status. This excellent example displays and presents to excellent effect with only the very minimum of handling wear, the colours are strong and the graphics and design exceptional. I personally don’t think there is one ‘bad’ poster from the artist and although he is most famous for his horror offerings this break from the norm piece is quite exceptional. Signed by Humphreys in pencil he has also hand-numbered this limited edition Artist Proof of only 10 produced. This beautiful alternative movie poster print represents a fine item of highly desirable movie memorabilia for a true screen and cultural legend.

Trivia: The large demonic head Ash battles in the climax of the film, which the crew nicknamed the “rotten applehead”, was too large and cumbersome for the crew to carry back to California, so it was left in North Carolina and soon disappeared. Its whereabouts were unknown for a number of years until it was found in a Halloween haunted house attraction just outside the original shooting location of Wadesboro, North Carolina.

“The Trick Was To Stay Alive”
John Carpenter’s masterpiece of modern horror “Halloween” was the first and by far the best of this enduring film franchise which acted as the definitive slasher flick. The artwork for any of the film poster produced are all extremely collectable and strikingly individual in design; from the ‘Jack O’Lantern’ US one sheet to the UK quad film poster featuring a screaming Jamie Lee Curtis as Michael Myers’ hand appears at the car window; all seen through an icy blue haze. Stout’s unique linear style and use of autumnal colour tones makes for a truly distinctive piece. Trivia: John Carpenter considered the hiring of Jamie Lee Curtis as the ultimate tribute to Sir Alfred Hitchcock who had given her mother, Janet Leigh, legendary status in Psycho (1960) (for the same reason, Dr. Sam Loomis was named after Sam Loomis from Psycho). During the same period, Universal studio producers and director Richard Franklin were trying to enroll Jamie Lee in the new production of Psycho II (1983).

“The most shocking tale of carnage ever seen.”
“House of 1000 Corpses” is a stylish, gore-laden 2003 offering which marks marks the directorial debut of Trash/Industrial Artist Musician Rob Zombie. Largely unheard of outside Zombie’s fiercely loyal fanbase it grew to be a cult horror classic, proving hugely influential for the low budget flicks that followed. Because of a very limited cinema release schedule and a low print run these posters are genuinely rare and hard to find. This originally rolled (as issued) 2003 UK quad displays superbly with great horror imagery from British artist Graham Humphreys and represents a fine example of horror memorabilia.
Trivia: Otis’ and Baby’s bizarre rants during the “home movie” segments are inspired by the Charles Manson family’s supposed home movies.

Described by The News of the World as the ‘sickest carnival of slaughter ever seen’...“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” has become one of the most debated films of all time bringing (at the time) nauseating, forceful horror to the screen with a focussed realism that was new to mainstream cinema. Trivia: Ed Gein – on whom “Leatherface” was loosely based–was not a true serial killer, as he actually only killed two people, both of them women. He was however, a graverobber. He stole body parts–only female–from many different graves. He kept some of the parts in his refrigerator, and skinned one corpse and wore the skin as a dress.
