All indications point to a stylish new chapter for DC’s iconic comic book hero. Creative arts agency BOND have designed a truly stunning Advance UK quad film poster for the worldwide marketing campaign. This is the very first poster released for this 2022 release. Originally rolled (as issued), this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect with only minimal handling wear and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia for one of popular culture’s most recognised figures.
Trivia: The Batmobile in this film is a customised muscle car. This draws influence from the 1970s “Batman” comics by Neal Adams, where the Batmobile was a fairly normal-looking car that Batman drove for stealth purposes.

One of the few films that truly deserves to be called a ‘classic’. John Landis’ 1980 action comedy rollercoaster “The Blues Brothers”. Over the years this movie has built up a huge cult following and established itself as the benchmark for which other action comedy films are compared against; it’s not many that come close. Any paper from the original release is extremely scarce and very sought after – making this original, very displayable Australian waybill hugely desirable and features Jake (John Belushi) & Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) Blues in classic pose dancing atop an over turned police patrol car that perfectly suits the film’s mood and vibe. Originally folded (as issued) it displays very well and is a fine example of very rare original and collectable movie memorabilia for the screens best loved anarchic action musical comedy that is “The Blues Brothers”

An extraordinary and surreal masterpiece from Neil Jordan, “The Company of Wolves” is an allegory that examines the journey from innocence to adulthood in an adult re-telling of the much loved fairytale “Little Red Riding Hood”. Certainly a strange story; the mix of sexual symbolism, poetic beauty and gory horror moments seems a bit forced at times – but when it does work it’s utterly fascinating and you can see it has become such a cult film of the genre and well respected by fans of both horror and quality film making. Offered here is a rare 1984 first release country of origin UK quad film poster for this British film featuring an intricate design by Red Ranch with beautiful detailed border artwork by Alan Lee with the storybook illustration attributed to Andy Seymour. An original country of origin British UK quad film poster from the original year of release 1973 for Fred Zinnemann’s terrorist thriller “The Day of the Jackal”. The movie is based on the best-selling novel by Frederick Forsyth which sees a lone sniper tasked with the assassination of French President Charles De Gaulle and it it this the image of Charles De Gaulle reflected in the assassins eye (Edward Fox as the titular Jackal) that provides some remarkable pencil drawn imagery in Michael Leonard’s impressive artwork featured on the UK quad movie poster; a very cleverly designed piece. Originally folded (as issued) it displays and presents to very good effect. A marvellous looking poster that certainly impresses and is scarce in this unrestored condition. A hugely collectable and sought after film poster that represents a fine example of original British movie memorabilia.
Trivia: A so-called “explosive bullet” does not contain any explosive material. It is drilled through the center, a drop of mercury is put inside, and the tip of the bullet sealed. When the bullet hits an object the mercury maintains its velocity, flying through the drilled channel and impacting the tip of the bullet from the inside. This causes the bullet to fragment.

Notable for a mix of striking Frank McCarthy artwork and photographs (a typical feature of Japanese poster design) this is a stunning original Japanese B2 film poster for Robert Aldrich’s 1967 World War 2 action extravaganza “The Dirty Dozen”. With artwork exclusive to this release Lee Marvin takes centre stage , machine gun blazing , charging into battle against a background of action scenes and co-stars, cleverly featured in a hand grenade illustration. Originally rolled (as issued) to Japanese cinemas this beautiful unrestored example presents to excellent. Hugely collectable; very rare first release poster for a war movie that is oft judged as one of the best from the action adventure genre.
Trivia: Woody Allen joined Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson and Telly Savalas to play poker when filming was finished for the day. He was simultaneously filming Casino Royale (1967) in London and earning “a fat salary”. Filming was so far behind schedule, that he would gladly hook up with the cast for a few hands of poker.

Quite honestly some of the finest poster artwork I have seen on a ‘modern’ poster. In these days of digital design it’s a pleasure to see and handle such a beautiful item. Designed by Jonny Halifax for Julien Temple’s film ‘The Ecstasy Of Wilko Johnson’, and winner of the SXSW 2015 Excellence in Poster Design Special Jury Recognition Award this is a special and very rare film poster. After the film’s cinematic premiere held in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust in London at the Picturehouse on Shaftesbury Avenue on 17th July 2015 it was only screened in a very limited number of select ‘art-house’ cinemas making any paper from the release exceptionally scarce and sought after with the artist himself releasing limited edition prints of the artwork which immediately sold out and have become collectors items in their own right. The poster offered here is a genuine UK quad film poster from the initial 2015 release, not a copy. Printed on heavy stock paper with a four colour silk screen print finish this originally rolled example displays superbly…An incredibly rare and collectable piece of music/film memorabilia.

Perhaps one of the most defining images in cinematic history and certainly up there with Karloff’s Frankenstein monster as the most memorable of the horror genre – Linda Blair as the possessed Regan. This alternative movie poster by horror artist supreme, Graham Humphreys for William Friedkin’s Oscar winning horror masterpiece “The Exorcist” is a striking example of horror artwork, featuring some incredible characterisations and an amazing colour palette – from orange to sickly green/grey. The limited edition fine art print Offered here has been signed by Humphreys and hand-numbered #9 from a print run of only 59. Hugely oversubscribed, this scarce print was sold out prior to release and presents and displays to excellent effect. Originally flat and folded (as issued) this beautiful example represents a hard to find piece of cinematic horror memorabilia for this much revered and hugely influential Oscar winning horror movie.
Trivia: When Regan projectile vomits at Father Karras, the vomit was intended to hit Jason Miller in the chest, but the plastic tubing misfired, hitting him in the face. His reaction of shock and disgust while wiping away the vomit is genuine, and Miller admitted in interviews that he was very angered by this mistake.

“The students at Herrington High always suspected their teachers were from another planet… they were right!”
A great looking ‘cast’ character poster for Robert Rodriguez’ 1998, sci-fi horror hit “The Faculty”. Described as a cross between the Breakfast Club and Invasion of the Body Snatchers it’s up there as one of the best popcorn movies of the genre – superb fun with top notch special effects and a tight script. But then you wouldn’t expect anything else from the director who bought you Planet Terror and From Dusk Till Dawn and the writer of the first two (and best) Scream movies. A nice and very collectable item of original movie memorabilia. Offered rolled (as issued) this original first year of release UK Quad displays and presents to excellent effect with a great creepy cast image perfectly suited the vibe of the movie.
Trivia: At the start of the movie, Coach Willis (Robert Patrick) is seen standing at the end of a long hall, then begins running down the hall in pursuit of Principal Drake (Bebe Neuwirth). The way he runs, and the way the scene is shot (cutting back and forth between Willis running and Drake trying to open the door) mirrors a similar scene in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), when the T-1000–also played by Patrick–is chasing the Connors and the T-800 down a long hall while they wait for an elevator to open.

“Bolt Your Doors. Lock Your Windows. There’s something in The Fog !”
After the huge success of Halloween John Carpenter quickly followed up with the equally creepy horror The Fog. Taking creepy imagery from the movie the US one-sheet features silhouetted zombie pirates in a ‘fog’ filed room. The original movie poster offered here is from first year of release, 1980 and displays to excellent effect. Originally folded (as issued) it is presented in unrestored condition with only minimal handling wear. Great horror imagery on a genuinely rare cult classic from the Carpenter archives that represents extremely desirable and collectable movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Although this was essentially a low budget independent movie, John Carpenter chose to shoot the movie in anamorphic widescreen Panavision. This decision gave the movie a grander feel for the viewer so this didn’t seem like a low budget horror movie.

“Bolt Your Doors. Lock Your Windows. There’s something in The Fog !”
After the huge success of “Halloween” John Carpenter quickly followed up with the equally memorable horror “The Fog” – a guilty pleasure film of mine as I love how well Carpenter develops the tension and tells the story with great cinematography, sound, and use of locations. Carpenter always a well regarded and popular film maker has enjoyed a huge renaissance in more recent years so it was no surprise that this title was one of four seminal movies by the director re-released by Studio Canal in 2018, remastered in 4K, with the others being “They Live”, “Escape From New York” and “Prince of Darkness”. All four movies had a strictly limited cinematic release and were accompanied a newly designed poster campaign (quads and one-sheets) by leading artist Matt Ferguson. Ferguson’s unique artistic style is evident throughout the four, each with its very own unique colour palette. A number of these full-size 30″ x 40″ UK quad styles were also released as a limited edition art print by Vice Press. Identical to the cinematic quad, in fact exactly the same – same paper, printer etc these were issued as timed releases each signed and hand-numbered by Matt Ferguson. Offered here is one of these signed art prints numbered #48 from a print run of only 224. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents in excellent condition. A cool, cult poster that represents very collectable & desirable original film memorabilia from one of the greatest and most influential director’s who is still actively working in the film industry.

Scarce original UK quad film poster from one of the best thrillers of the 70’s…William Friedkin’s multi Oscar winning thriller “The French Connection”. Impressive, country unique (UK) artwork featuring hard hitting all-action photo style imagery highlighting the anti-hero Popeye Doyle (Gene Hackman) offset against the grainy New York skyline. The original 1971 UK quad movie poster offered here comes folded (as issued) and presents to great effect in very good unrestored condition with nice bright white background. A fine example of rare, collectable original movie memorabilia that really captures the feel and look of the genre & the period.

A magnificent example for one of the best feelgood films ever made…Richard Donner’s “The Goonies”. Add to the mix Steven Spielberg & Chris Columbus it was a guaranteed box office hit, but just to make sure they commissioned movie poster maestro Noriyoshi Ohrai to create an alternative style poster for the Japanese marketing campaign that complemented and could be displayed next to Drew Struzan’s familiar ‘hanging’ design . Ohrai in turn produced some of the best work of his career as featured here on this original 1985 Style A Japanese B2 film poster. The portrait format is perfectly suited to his design which is fondly referred to as the ‘One-Eyed Willie’ style. Originally rolled (as issued) this unrestored example looks incredible with amazing vibrant colour tones. A fantastic and eye-catching item for a hugely loved and popular movie that represents scarce original movie memorabilia for a film poster that has become one of the most desirable titles of the 1980’s…“Goonies never say die !”
Trivia: One Eyed Willie’s ship, The Inferno, was 105 feet long and took 2-1/2 months to construct. It was modeled after Errol Flynn‘s ship in The Sea Hawk (1940). The sails required more than 7,000 square feet of material, the largest measured 30ft by 60ft. Some of the ship’s rigging was recycled for the Pirates of the Caribbean ship at Disneyland, which was being renovated at the time.
