  • BLADE Movie Poster

    BLADE

    £125.00

    “Part Man..Part Vampire..All Hero.”

Beautifully produced and very cool looking. Graphic design agency BLT Communications created some fantastic film poster imagery for Marvel’s super hero horror movie “BLADE”. Based on the cult comic character created by Gene Colan and Marc Wolfman, Wesley Snipes made the role his own in Stephen Norrington’s 1998 production. Moody graphics of the titular hero offset against a ‘blood’ red background this is a memorable and eye-catching piece. Presented in unrestored, original rolled (as issued) condition this British UK quad film poster from original year of release 1998 looks and presents to superb effect and represents a fine piece of very collectable movie memorabilia that would appeal to comic and horror fans alike.

Trivia: The success of this film, especially since it followed the derided Batman & Robin (1997), is often considered the beginning of the rise of the superhero genre to become dominant in mainstream film.

    Dance of the Vampires

    £495.00

You’ll never know what bit you… but you’ll love it !… Who says Vampires are no laughing matter ?

A very desirable and equally hard to find British UK quad film poster for Roman Polanski’s spoof comedy horror “Dance of the Vampires” (AKA The Fearless Vampire Killers). This outstanding 1967 cinema poster features beautiful artwork by the French illustrator Clement Hurel and features a design unique to the British release which is the perfect complement for this landscape format. The caricature characters of Sarah Shagal (Sharon Tate) & the evil vampire Count von Krolock (Ferdy Mayne) take centre stage offset agains the key ‘vampire ball’ scene and of course no horror movie poster (even a horror comedy) would be complete without a dripping blood red title…all framed by an eerie green slime border. It’s really not hard see why this outstanding piece has gone on to become one of the most sought after posters from the 1960’s especially when you consider the tragic events and notoriety associated with Polanski and the brutal murder of his wife, Sharon Tate (this was one of her last performances) at the hands of Charles Manson’s deluded band of followers. Presented in excellent condition this impressive poster looks and displays to great effect with minimal handling and age wear. Original, unrestored folded (as issued) condition this is a lovely example of a classic British horror/comedy with lovely deep rich unfaded colours on what is a scarce item and represents a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of extremely collectable, classic British film memorabilia.

    Lair of the White Worm

    £295.00

“Now, if you’re sitting comfortably, I shall tell you why you must not be afraid to die. To die so that the god may live is a privilege, Kevin, and if you know anything at all about history, you will know that human sacrifice is as old as Dionin himself, whose every death is a rebirth into a god ever mightier !”

A terrifying eye-catching film poster for Ken Russell’s “Lair of the White Worm”. This original 1988 UK quad film poster is stunning; truly memorable horror imagery as we see a close up of snarling fanged snake-creature about to attack. Very in your face and not at all as understated and restrained (much like the legendary Director). With unique British, country of origin artwork this is an extremely desirable and very scarce poster. In excellent original, unrestored condition this folded (as issued) example displays to superb effect and represents an impressive item of original horror movie memorabilia from a cult British horror classic.

Trivia: The D’Ampton worm is an obvious reference to the Lambton worm, which is a real English legend, dating back at least to the mediaeval period.

    TRUE BLOOD

    £50.00

    “Do Bad Things…”

With the growing popularity of online streaming and Viewing On Demand certain TV shows have achieved viewing figures that are comparable to major Hollywood films. Alan Ball’s “TRUE BLOOD” is one such TV show. Based on the best selling vampire novels of Charlaine Harris the HBO produced series proved incredibly popular running over 7 Seasons from 2008 – 2014. Introducing the viewer to vampires, werewolves, witches, goblins and fairies “TRUE BLOOD” was one of the most popular TV shows across the globe without a truly large and devoted fan base. Like the Movie studios, TV companies began treating their shows with similar advertising campaigns and posters and merchandising were produced to promote their most popular products. This is a rare example of the 201o US one sheet style TV poster used to promote Season 3 of “TRUE BLOOD”. Featuring a great ‘dark moody’ and very sexy cast shot it’s a fantastic looking piece and guaranteed original. Presented in excellent near mint rolled (as issued) condition it appears almost faultless and represents an investment grade example of desirable and collectable original TV memorabilia.
