Designed by Hive Associates this is a special 3D lenticular poster for Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster superhero movie “Batman: The Dark Knight” and (for the one & only time) Heath Ledger’s show stopping turn as ‘The Joker’. This promotional poster was issued as a gift to VIP attendees and at early press screenings for Nolan’s incredibly successful sequel to Batman Begins. Depending on the viewing angle, you can see either Batman (Christian Bale), Joker (Heath Ledger) or Two-Face (Aaron Eckhart). Presented in dark blue, grey and black tones this is a great looking piece with the gritty dark colours perfectly suiting the subject matter. Originally flat (as issued) this stunning film poster presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a truly desirable piece of original Batman movie memorabilia from a trilogy that has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.
Trivia: The Joker’s mask during the initial bank robbery is almost exactly the same as the mask worn by Cesar Romero when hijacking a performance of Pagliacci in the original Batman (1966) television series.

Heath Ledger’s show stopping turn as ‘The Joker’ stole the movie and is just one of three characters (along with Batman and Two-Face) represented in this three one-sheet poster set. Presented in dark colour tones – blues, greys and black, the gritty dark colours perfectly suit the subject matter. Posters for Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise have always been of the highest quality and Ignition Print have certainly not disappointed with this iconic design for the trilogy’s 2012 finale “The Dark Knight Rises”. In the comics Bane famously broke Batman’s back – Does the shattered Bat cowl tease that this time he goes one further ? Dark and stylish. A foretaste of things to come…A great way to use a teaser poster. Enigmatic and stylish, and in this Japanese B1 format truly impressive. The Japanese lettering perfectly suits the imagery, totally enhancing the overall effect. The Japanese paper is slightly thicker than used on US or British examples and this produces a sharper, detailed print of real quality. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect and represents a superb Batman image from the climactic instalment of Nolan’s award winning trilogy.

Posters for Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise have always been of the highest quality and the creative agencies of Ignition and LA have certainly not disappointed with these three one-sheet character designs – Batman, Catwoman and Bane for the climactic chapter for Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, “The Dark Knight Rises”. As Gotham City becomes a Bane induced war-zone the Dark Knight aided by the enigma that is Catwoman stand ready to defend his City. Striking and stylish, these originally rolled (as issued) examples display to excellent effect and provide the perfect triptych of Batman character images from the final instalment of Nolan’s award winning trilogy.

Posters for Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise have always been of the highest quality and when independent publishers Mondo asked acclaimed Batman comic book artist Jock to design something special he didn’t disappoint. Jock’s imagery is stunning as a giant image of The Dark Knight composed of bats is seen looming over Gotham City. The minimal use of colour with just black, white and light grey being used only enhances the overall impact and makes for a nice change with most Batman imagery opting for the more typical dark coloured inks and a shadowy style. Of particular note and although a small detail (and easily overlooked) is the lettering, credits and logos as these are all hand drawn by Jock in a style that mimics the original typography. This Limited Edition, Hand Numbered (#16/375) edition for “The Dark Knight Rises” was only ever made available through Mondo at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con. Original rolled it is presented in excellent original condition. Jock, is arguably one of the most popular and talented comic book and poster artists, whose work sees some incredible aftermarket prices and is also some of the best and most innovative to be offered for sale.

“Penguin, Joker, Riddler and Catwoman, too ! The sum of the angles of that rectangle is too monstrous to contemplate !”
Released in 2014 as the third instalment of The Art of Ken Taylor through Mondo. This screenprint depiction of Julie Newmar as Catwoman is stunning and a great tribute to the Feline Femme Fatale. It captures the seduction Newmar brought to the character while conveying the light-hearted feel of the beloved 1960s Batman TV series. This is the Regular orange background edition which is hand-numbered #124 out of 275 and signed by the artist. I am a huge Batman fan (all incarnations) and this is one of my favourite Batman posters, a great fun item and a fantastict item of collectable memorabilia from an icon of modern pop culture.
Trivia: Originally planned as the pilot film for the Batman (1966) TV series, the movie was instead produced between the show’s first and second seasons. The producers took advantage of the larger budget to have a number of new Bat-gadgets constructed, such as the BatBoat.

This is the second poster (it has been dubbed the ‘Steps Style’ by fans) released for this critically acclaimed and commercially record breaking film and destined to become as iconic as Phoenix’s portrayal of DC’s ‘anti-superhero’. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect without a blemish of note and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia for one of popular culture’s most recognised villains.
Trivia #1: The stairs in the movie are at 1170 Shakespeare Avenue, Bronx, New York with the footage of him dancing down them to the Gary Glitter song ‘Rock and Roll Part 2’ being used for the film, trailer and poster.

A real statement piece and talking point – An ultra rare (this is the only one I have ever seen or offered for sale), large format US bus shelter size wilding poster that was solely used for advance publicity, being pasted on walls around town before the movie played. This is a true US release poster – note the R Ratings box and not one of the readily available Thai one-sheets, that (whether officially or unofficially) adopted this imagery.
