Probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. It also happens to be one of the best and most memorable movie poster images ever ! Designed by The Seiniger Advertising Agency with finished artwork by Roger Kastel the poster has attained cult status. Once you’ve seen the film (& who hasn’t) you see the poster and you just can’t get John Williams’ distinctive soundtrack out of your head. This original UK quad for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 masterpiece “Jaws” is for the September 9th 2022 re-release for IMAX cinema screens and a Real D 3D version. Although retaining the original artwork it has been slightly altered to denote this is, with a shark-bite evident on the ‘A’ of IMAX. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect. Perfect, deep rich colours this is a truly outstanding and extremely rare original film poster that is only available for this very limited cinematic release with the UK quad being the only landcscape format printed. It presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a key item of highly sought after, collectable original movie memorabilia…“You’re gonna need a bigger boat !”
Trivia: Several decades after the film’s release, Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner, walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed that the menu had an “Alex Kintner Sandwich.” She commented that she had played his mother so many years ago; the owner of the restaurant ran out to meet her, and he was none other than Jeffrey Voorhees, who had played her son. They had not seen each other since the original movie shoot.

Yes it really has been 50 years with this release having a special introduction by Spielberg himself. Although retaining the original artwork, the title has been adapted with 50th Anniversary added with a shark’s fin cleverly styled into the ’50’. Although a relatively recent release any paper for Keanu Reeves’ John Wick franchise is extremely desirable. This incredibly popular film series is always complemented by an equally incredible series of movie posters and for the 2024 re-release the acclaimed Batman and comic book artist, Jock was commissioned to create something special for the 10th Anniversary, and he has not disappointed. Offered here is the Style B, US/International one-sheet for “John Wick” which features the ‘Baba-Yaga’ imagined in Jock’s unique style. Distinctive with its bold use of red and black colour, it really is an impressive looking poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect with only very minimal handling wear. Having a very limited cinematic release of only two days this is a truly scarce item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from one of the best action franchises in recent memory that looks very very cool !

Offered here is the 2019 Advance International/Thai one-sheet for “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” which features ultra-assasin John Wick with ‘dog’ in the lounge of The Continerntal. Dark & moody, it really is a great looking poster design and for me the best from the movie with the photo not really doming justice to what is a stunning item. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with minimal handling wear; the dark shades of blues, purples and blacks are deep and unfaded. A scarce item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from one of the best new action franchises in recent memory that looks very very cool !
Trivia: The title “Parabellum” comes from the Latin phrase: “Si vis pacem, para bellum” which means “If you want peace, prepare for war.” It is also an alternate name for the ubiquitous 9mm handgun cartridge (“9mm Parabellum”). The phrase itself appears twice in the movie: it is tattooed on the back of the ballerina girl in the beginning, and Winston (Ian McShane) says it out loud later in the movie.

Creative arts agency BOND have designed a truly stunning film poster for the 2019 US one sheet featuring an scene from the explosive finale. This is the very hard to source IMAX version for this critically acclaimed and commercially record breaking film and destined to become as iconic as Phoenix’s portrayal of DC’s ‘anti-superhero’. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect without a blemish of note and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia for one of popular culture’s most recognised villains.
NOTE: The IMAX version is incredibly scarce and printed in much lower numbers than the ‘regular’ designs

Advertising agency Legion Creative have designed a truly stunning teaser poster, featuring the titular Joker and newcomer Harley Quinn with the title ‘Folie a Deux’ cleverly incorporated into the JOKER typography. Much like the first movie which used ‘Put on a Happy Face’ as its tagline, the sequel takes ‘The World is a Stage’ as a clever enticement for the things to come. The blood red background silhouetting the infamous T-rex skeleton makes for the most iconic and instantly recognisable logo in cinema history. It can only be Steven Spielberg’s 1993 blockbuster “Jurassic Park”. Ground breaking and game changing are phrases banded around far to easily in this day of modern cinema but “Jurassic Park” truly deserves these accolades. A massive worldwide success on its release with merchandising and memorabilia hugely sought after with the logo style design being the most desirable. From first year of release 1993 this rolled (as issued) Advance ‘Summer 1993’ original, unrestored UK quad film poster displays and presents to excellent effect. The bright red logo and title which is printed , slightly embossed, using a spot varnish finish, truly pops against the matt black background. From an aesthetic point of view I have always preferred the landscape format of the quad, as feel it suits the design (and is much more impressive) than the portrait style of a one-sheet. A fine piece of original movie memorabilia that is hard to find in such high grade condition from the film that kickstarted the CGI phenomenon and made millions fall in love with a T-Rex.
Trivia: The novel was published in 1990. However, pre-production of the film began in 1989, using only Michael Crichton‘s manuscript. It was widely believed that the book would be such a hit that it would make an outstanding movie. It turns out that assumption was correct

The UK quad film poster offered here displays and presents to excellent effect. From an aesthetic point of view I have always preferred the landscape format of the quad, as feel it suits the design (and is much more impressive) than the portrait style of a one-sheet. A fine piece of original movie memorabilia from the film that kickstarted the CGI phenomenon and made millions fall in love with a T-Rex.
Trivia: In 2005, paleontologist Dr. Mary Schweitzer discovered red blood cells and soft tissue in the fossilized bones of a T. Rex, meaning dinosaur cloning may someday become a reality.
