Resistance is futile !…Part of the appeal of “Star Trek: First Contact”, is that the central enemy is the Borg, which has surpassed all other villainous races in the Star Trek universe in popularity. The design of the Borg is unsettling, and the story line and history of this race serves to illicit an emotional continuity between the events in the television show and the films. “Star Trek: First Contact” probably has the widest appeal of all of the episodes (TV and cinematic). It is action packed, filled with top rate visual effects, and an iconic, threatening villain in The Borg. That is all evident here on this first year of release, 1996 UK quad as the USS Enterprise and the Borg Cube are both shown racing towards Earth as the Next Generation crew of Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) look to save Earth from the Borg invasion. Becoming increasingly hard to find, particularly in high grade condition, the rolled (as issued) example offered here displays and presents to excellent effect and represents a desirable item of Star Trek cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: James Cromwell became the first actor in Star Trek history to actually utter the phrase “star trek”.

Produced in 1991 for the 25th Anniversary of the TV series “Star Trek”, acclaimed artist Drew Struzan has produced one of the best images of William Shatner as the iconic character – Captain James T. Kirk. This example has been autographed by the actor William Shatner and annotated with his character name ‘James T. Kirk’. The autograph was obtained in 2023 (August 12th) at the Steel City Con, Monroeville, Pennsylvania and is accompanied by an official Certificate of Authenticity from the event. The poster alone is impressive and when coupled with the signature it represents an incredible and a very collectable item of Star Trek memorabilia movie from Gene Roddenberry’s iconic and hugely influential production.
Trivia: ‘Star Trek’ is universally acknowledged as the most successful franchise in television history, and one of the most successful in all of Hollywood history. As of 2023, Star Trek (1966) has been followed by 13 theatrically-released motion pictures; 11 TV, cable & streaming sequels & spin-offs; 4 theme park attractions & exhibits; more than 70 board, pinball, card & other games; and literally 100s of novelizations, adaptations, reference & other books. For the 25th Anniversary 2024 re-release for George Lucas’ “Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace” Lucasfilm commissioned this amazing British one-sheet featuring the artwork of Matt Ferguson, the hugely successful artist responsible for some of the most memorable recent Marvel cinematic releases and the award winning, fan favourite 40th Anniversary designs for “Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi”. This ‘updated’ style features some amazing imagery as Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor), Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) and Queen Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman) taking centre stage and continuing the tradition of many of the Original Trilogy posters the episodes villain dominating the background, in this case Darth Maul (Ray Park). Presented here in original unrestored condition this beautiful 2024 rolled (as issued) example has deep unfaded vibrant colour tones and displays to excellent effect with the minimal of handling wear. With an extremely limited cinematic release (one week only) in both the UK & USA this is a truly scarce poster and highly sought after. As this is the British release it carries the tagline ‘Returns to Cinemas May 3’.Already firmly established as a fans favourite this impressive item represents a fine addition for any collector of original movie posters or Star Wars fan memorabilia.

An 1982 original first year of ‘dubbed’ release in Japan of “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope”. In 1982, Japan premiered the first version of Star Wars to use Japanese voice-over actors rather than subtitles. George Lucas & the Studio Executives were incredibly pleased with the result and said that the Japanese voices closely resembled those of the original actors and maintained the integrity of the production. For this ‘dubbed’ presentation acclaimed Japanese artist Noriyoshi Ohrai was commissioned to create the artwork. Drawing on his own love of the Millennium Falcon he produced a fantastic image centred around this iconic spaceship which also features, Han, Luke, Leia, Darth Vader, the Death Star and succeeded in creating one of the best looking, fan favourite Star Wars’ film posters. Featuring country unique Japanese artwork this exceptional investment grade example is truly one of my favourite posters from the franchise. Rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored original condition poster presents near flawlessly and represents a scarce and desirable piece of original Star Wars movie memorabilia from what has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.
Trivia: The word “Jedi” is derived from the Japanese words “Jidai Geki,” which translate as “period adventure drama.” A period adventure drama is a Japanese television soap opera program set in the samurai days. George Lucas mentioned in an interview that he saw a “Jidai Geki” program on television while in Japan a year or so before the movie was made, and he liked the word.

A global phenomenon when originally released in 1977 producing (at the time) a multitude of related merchandise including some exceptional commercial and promotional posters with some of the best and examples being very collectable in their own right. R2-D2 and C3PO have gone on to become iconic and hugely popular, more so probably than the lead characters and really have become the symbol for the franchise featuring in all seven films and became pivotal figures in the massive marketing and merchandising campaign that was to follow. Presented here on this original vintage 1977 “Star Wars” poster from the original soundtrack…“The Story of Star Wars” in original unrestored condition this excellent rolled (as issued) example was one of the best promotional Star Wars licenced posters produced at the time and one of the very few made to display horizontally in a landscape format. Trivia: The skeleton that C-3PO passes belongs to a Tatooine creature called a Greater Krayt Dragon. This artificial skeleton was left in the Tunisian desert after filming, and still lies there. During filming of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002), the site was visited by the crew once more, and the skeleton was still there. In The Mandalorian Chapter 9: The Marshal (2020), locals on Tatooine join with Sand People to fight and kill one of these serpents.

Presented here on this original vintage 1977 fully studio authorised “Star Wars” poster. Presented in original unrestored high grade condition this an excellent rolled (as issued) example. This is one of the very first commercial posters for the movie and a very early release Star Wars merchandising poster. An incredibly scarce and desirable example of Star Wars memorabilia.

Trivia: George Lucas was so sure this movie would flop that instead of attending the premiere, he went on vacation to Hawaii with his good friend Steven Spielberg. It was on that vacation that they came up with the idea for Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).

Trivia: Boba Fett is never referred to by name in this movie. He is always referred to as “the bounty hunter” by other characters. However, a deleted scene included in the Blu-ray set shows Leia tending to Luke’s wounds and says “a bounty hunter named Boba Fett” has taken Han Solo.

Beautiful, rolled, unrestored 1980 one sheet style commercial movie poster (officially licensed) for the George Lucas sci fi classic sequel “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”. This pure artwork imagery (no title or credits) features Roger Kastel’s ‘Gone With the Wind’ artwork featuring a swooning Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) about to be kissed by the romantic hero Han Solo (Harrison Ford)…a Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler in space. Poster printer, Gala were one of the official licensees for aftermarket Star Wars posters sold to the general public band have here used an early alternative design to the regular final release cinematic poster which was recalled from use as Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) was not featured in Kastel’s finished artwork. Being originally rolled (as issued) and totally unrestored this stunning example displays and presents to excellent effect with rich unfaded colour tones. A fans favourite design this impressive item represents a fine addition for any collector of movie posters or Star Wars fan memorabilia.
Trivia: In order to avoid sharing creative rights, George Lucas decided to avoid using a major studio to finance this movie. Instead, he bankrolled the $18 million production himself, using a combination of his profits from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) and a bank loan. Although the move was risky, it paid off several times over. Lucas recovered his investment within three months of the movie’s release.

Trivia: The chest piece that Anakin wears is the same design as the one he would later wear as Darth Vader.

Based upon the making of the 1971 film “Le Mans” the iconic and much admired motor racing movie showing just why Steve McQueen was the true King of Cool !…A fantastic piece of very desirable and collectable original movie memorabilia that in this large format is sure to impress.
