“Movies were his passion Women were his inspiration Angora sweaters were his weakness”
A really great looking black & white poster (the movie was filmed in black & white) with star Johnny Depp bearing a remarkable likeness to the man/woman he was playing
…more detail“Squid Game” was a un-precedented cult success on its Netflix release in 2021 with Hwang Dong-hyuk‘s psychological mystery suspense series going on to be one of the most watched TV series of all-time. It’s something of a collage of colorful imagery, fragmented shots, quirky music, strange characters, bizarre situations, and violent, gory action – it perfectly suits the artistic style of one of my favourite alternative movie poster artists – Ise Ananphada. This limited edition, hand-numbered (#52/110) screen print for “Squid Game” is one of the best (if not the best) for the title and has been created using Thirteen (13) different coloured inks printed onto Fedrigoni Sirio Color Rough Milkshake art paper. Awarded poster of the week for 30th August 2023 by the influential and well respected alternative movie poster website Expressobeans this rolled (as issued) fine art print from 2020 is a real eye-catcher that looks and displays to excellent effect and represents an extremely hard to find, collectable item of memorabilia from a multi-international award winning Korean production.
Trivia: The worker jumpsuits were chosen for their loose design to mask the gender of the workers and to create a colony vibe to the setting. The soldiers’ masks were designed specifically to resemble the face of an ant.

Extremely rare in this (very easy to display)format. Being originally rolled this looks superb. Investment grade quality for a much loved laugh out loud comedy movie.
…more detail“The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou” is most certainly an unusual film. It’s something of a collage of colorful imagery, fragmented shots, quirky music, strange characters, bizarre situations, and amusing montages. But if you had seen Wes Anderson’s previous films, you would expect nothing less.“The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou” was a cult success on its release with Anderson’s loyal fanbase hailing another solid cinematic offering. Only having a very limited run and showing in a small number of (largely ‘art-house’ or ‘independent’) cinemas any paper from the Film is scarce and in very short supply, making this originally rolled (as issued) one-sheet from 2004 a really great find. Designed by award winning creative arts agency BLT Communications LLC this looks and displays to excellent effect and represents an extremely hard yo find, modern original collectable movie memorabilia from a truly talented writer / director.
Trivia: The red woolen caps worn by the characters are a reference to Jacques-Yves Cousteau, famed underwater film-maker and co-inventor of the modern aqualung.
