“It TICKLES and TANTALIZES! – The funniest comedy since laughter began !”
Absolutely beautiful original German Two Sheet ‘A0’ film poster for the 1966 re-release for Marilyn Monroe’s “The Seven Year Itch”. Bold colourful design by Dorothea Fischer Nosbisch in an ‘Andy Warhol’ style for Atlas Distributors this is one most striking and different Marilyn Monroe images you will encounter featuring Richard Sherman (Tom Ewell) kissing Marilyn Monroe as The Girl on her cheek with a small red heart inside the stylised title text. A country of origin unique piece this was printed only for the German market and is extremely scarce and highly desired by Marilyn Monroe fans and collectors of ‘art’ style film posters…Investment grade condition and easily the best example of this poster I have ever had the pleasure to offer for sale; original rolled (as issued) unrestored condition with amazing bold colours. Simply stunning and a marvellous opportunity to acquire an incredible piece of original Marilyn Monroe movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Marilyn Monroe‘s iconic white dress set a record when it was auctioned for $4.6 million in June 2011 (rising to $5.5 million after taxes and fees were included), quintupling the previous record for a movie costume ($923,000 for Audrey Hepburn‘s “little black dress” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961).…more detail
