The Great Waldo Pepper

“What do you do when the war’s over and you’re the second best pilot in the world ?”

A really fun poster, colourful with a great design for Robert Redford’s 1975 outing as barnstorming World War One flying ace “The Great Waldo Pepper”. After the blockbuster successes of “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” & “The Sting” Redford was a huge star and (rightly so) features prominently on the UK quad poster as do the two (beautifully rendered) biplanes used in the film. This country unique (British) design is easily the best looking paper from George Roy Hill’s flying-action fest and is very popular with collectors of cinema and aeronautica. The originally folded (as issued) unrestored UK quad film poster offered here is from first year of release in Britain 1975 and displays and presents to excellent effect and represents a first class example of  well designed desirable original movie memorabilia.
