“Strength Now. Courage Always. Family, Above All. Batman and Robin!”
Long after Tim Burton re-invented him, Chris Chris Nolan re-imagined him and Ben Affleck played him as an older more mature Caped Crusader there was Joel Schumacher’s “Batman & Robin” 90s neon in this this hugely enjoyable not so Dark Knight adventure. An all-star bat-movie that sees George Clooney, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Uma Thurman, Chris O’Donnell and Alicia Silverstone don their superhero and super villain costumes. The poster that accompanied the screening is a marvellous, colourful feast for the eyes with all five actors featured. Bright vibrant colours and beautiful graphics, this originally rolled (as issued) example is a great looking poster. I am a huge Batman fan (all incarnations) and this is one just shouts fun. A chance to purchase one of the campiest Batman posters (since Adam West and Burt Ward) ever produced and a magnificent item of collectable cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: In an interview, the cast members were asked what item from filming they would like to take home. Arnold Schwarzenegger said he would be taking Mr. Freeze’s armor home. Uma Thurman said that she wanted Ivy’s floral throne. Elle Macpherson said she just wanted a cap or something with the movie’s logo before anyone else. George Clooney said he wanted Macpherson.

“Out of the darkness…comes the Knight.”
There were some outstanding posters produced for Christopher Nolan’s 2008 “Batman Begins” sequel “The Dark Knight” but this advance “Coming Soon” teaser takes the plaudits…a truly stunning looking film poster designed by Crew Creative Advertising. This International one sheet was printed in USA for use in United Kingdom and Europe and depicts the Batman silhouetted against a striking city scape and is the rarest of any paper for the movie. The photograph really doesn’t do this poster justice. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored example displays and presents to magnificent effect and represents a hugely collectable item of modern original movie memorabilia from a truly outstanding film franchise and an icon of modern pop culture…“The night is darkest before the dawn.”
Trivia: In Sir Michael Caine‘s opinion, Heath Ledger beat the odds and topped Jack Nicholson‘s Joker from Batman (1989): “Jack was like a clown figure, benign but wicked, maybe a killer old uncle. He could be funny and make you laugh. Heath’s gone in a completely different direction to Jack, he’s like a really scary psychopath. He’s a lovely guy and his Joker is going to be a hell of a revelation in this picture.” Caine bases this belief on a scene where The Joker pays a visit to Bruce Wayne’s penthouse. He’d never met Ledger before, so when Ledger arrived and performed, he gave Caine such a fright, he forgot his lines.

Posters for Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise have always been of the highest quality and Ignition Print have certainly not disappointed with this iconic design for the trilogy’s 2012 finale “The Dark Knight Rises”. In the comics Bane famously broke Batman’s back – Does the shattered Bat cowl tease that this time he goes one further ? Dark and stylish. A foretaste of things to come…A great way to use a teaser poster. Enigmatic and stylish, and in this Japanese B1 format truly impressive. The Japanese lettering perfectly suits the imagery, totally enhancing the overall effect. The Japanese paper is slightly thicker than used on US or British examples and this produces a sharper, detailed print of real quality. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect and represents a superb Batman image from the climactic instalment of Nolan’s award winning trilogy.

Posters for Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise have always been of the highest quality and the creative agencies of Ignition and LA have certainly not disappointed with these three one-sheet character designs – Batman, Catwoman and Bane for the climactic chapter for Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, “The Dark Knight Rises”. As Gotham City becomes a Bane induced war-zone the Dark Knight aided by the enigma that is Catwoman stand ready to defend his City. Striking and stylish, these originally rolled (as issued) examples display to excellent effect and provide the perfect triptych of Batman character images from the final instalment of Nolan’s award winning trilogy.

Original 2012 International ‘Coming Soon’ one sheet cinema poster for Christopher Nolan’s epic conclusion to his acclaimed Batman trilogy, “The Dark Knight Rises”, starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Morgan Freeman.
Featuring the spectacular “A Fire Will Rise” design, with Batman standing amid the fiery destruction of Gotham City, the artwork was created by advertising agencies Ignition and LA and remains one of the most dramatic poster designs produced for the film.
This authentic theatrical one sheet measures 27 x 40 inches and is rolled (as issued), presented in excellent high grade condition.

Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed Batman trilogy reaches its monumental conclusion in this matching pair of original UK Quad cinema posters for “The Dark Knight Rises”. Designed by the creative agency, Art Machine and offered together as a set of two, the complementary Batman and Bane styles capture the film’s central conflict and the chaos engulfing Gotham City.
The Batman-style poster shows Christian Bale’s Dark Knight standing defiantly above a damaged police car, surrounded by officers, crowds and clouds of debris. Its companion places Tom Hardy’s imposing Bane upon the Tumbler amid fire, smoke and his assembled followers. Together, the designs create a powerful visual contrast between Gotham’s returning protector and the masked revolutionary threatening its destruction.
Each poster measures 30 × 40 inches and features the concluding tagline, “The Legend Ends.” Both examples are presented rolled and remain in excellent condition. There is no doubting the cinematic and cultural influence of Batman’s arch nemesis The Joker with this 2019 offering hailed as the best yet. Joaquin Phoenix stars as Arthur ‘Joker’ Fleck in Todd Phillips’ “Joker”. A production hugely loved and appreciated by the fans as he presents his own unique take on the ‘Clown Prince of Crime’. Creative arts agency BOND have designed a truly stunning ‘Coming Soon’ film poster for the 2019 US/International one sheet. This version is a true first printing which was quickly recalled when it was realised EXPERIENCE had been mis-spelt as EXPERIECE (see photo). Dubbed the ‘Playing Card’ style by fans, for this critically acclaimed and commercially record breaking film and destined to become as iconic as Phoenix’s portrayal of DC’s ‘anti-superhero’. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect without a blemish of note and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia for one of popular culture’s most recognised villains.
Trivia #1: The stairs in the movie are at 1170 Shakespeare Avenue, Bronx, New York with the footage of him dancing down them to the Gary Glitter song ‘Rock and Roll Part 2’ being used for the film, trailer and poster.
Trivia #2: The Joker’s make-up is very similar to John Wayne Gacy‘s, a serial killer who would often entertain children while dressed as Pogo the Clown. This make-up style was shunned by working clowns at the time, as they strictly prohibit “sharp” ends in their make-up, as it scares children.
