An all-action sweeping vista of a film poster for Glen A. Larson’s sci-fi ‘epic’ “Mission Galactica: The Cylon Attack”. Receiving a full cinematic release in Europe & the UK (it was a edited together version of 3 TV shows released in the USA) largely cashing in on the still very popular ‘Star Wars’ phenomena. With some colourful, dynamic sci-fi artwork by Robert Tanenbaum (a homage to Tom Chantrell’s famous Style C art for ‘Star Wars’ perhaps ?) this original 1979 UK quad film poster is presented in excellent original unrestored, folded (as issued) condition that looks superb and displays to excellent effect with minimal age and handling wear; colours are deep and unfaded with some truly rip roaring imagery. This fine example represents a fantastic piece of very collectable and desirable original movie memorabilia for a much loved and hugely popular film and TV franchise.

An incredibly stylish and cool film poster for Gareth Edwards’ ‘intelligent’ creature feature “MONSTERS”. Created by design agency ‘Hoo-Ha’ this award winning original 2010 UK quad film poster is a striking looking example and incredibly rare in this style. Made to resemble one of the battered metal warning signs seen throughout the movie and finished in bright orange and deep black it is an incredible looking piece. Extremely scarce, the advertising campaign was very low key for Gareth Edwards’ debut feature and the UK film posters that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release are in very short supply and truly hard to find. “Oh! What a Lovely War” was Richard Attenborough’ Directorial debut in 1969 and also resulted in a highly patriotic film poster with a Union Jack design and as Sim Branagan states in his 2006 book “British Film Posters” – “A clever and appealing spoof of the classic Kitchener call-up poster”. With initial design by John Billingham and finished artwork by Brian Sanders each section of the Union Jack flag feature a scene from the movie and include General Haig (John Mills) playing leap frog and Brighton Pier with the colours red, white and blue are enhanced with Khaki, lilac and different shades of blue, red & green. An exceptional and eye-catching looking film poster with superbly detailed imagery, this really is a beautifully designed stand out poster and is becoming increasingly hard to find. Originally folded (as issued) this 1969 UK quad film poster displays superbly with vibrant unfaded colour tones. Truly one of the greatest gangster films ever made Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time In America. An epic, episodic, tale of the lives of a small group of New York City Jewish gangsters spanning over 40 years and thankfully it has a movie poster to match it. This original 1984 US one-sheet features beautiful atmospheric design with a fantastic image of the Brooklyn Bridge and sepia colours that are a perfect complement to Leone’s film. Originally folded (as issued) this rare example is presented in beautiful unrestored condition; it presents and displays to excellent effect and represents an impressive example of very collectable original movie memorabilia from a multi award winning film and one of cinema’s leading directors.
Trivia: Sergio Leone had refused the offer to direct The Godfather (1972), an opportunity he deeply regretted. This may have partly inspired him to try a gangster film. Leone has also notably used the flashback technique pioneered in The Godfather: Part II (1974).

An incredibly rare find, a 2023 Park Circus UK quad film poster for Michael Powell’s disturbing 1960 voyeuristic thriller “Peeping Tom”. One of the most distinctive and best redesigned of any posters from the genre and rightly regarded as a British classic and highly sought after by collectors. “Peeping Tom” was not a great commercial success at the time of its release, and was largely over shadowed by Hitchcock’s “Psycho” and often treated as a film ‘way ahead of its time’ with filmgoers reluctant to see it due to Powell’s controversial content. The originally rolled (as issued), unrestored example offered here has minimal handling and displays & presents to excellent effect with beautiful colour tones and dramatic imagery. Incredibly scarce, as it received a very limited release and was only shown in a handful of ‘Park Circus’ affiliated cinemas. A must have title for the serious collector or fan it represents a fantastic item of good looking collectible movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The critical mauling and public outcry about the film resulted in it being pulled from British cinemas after just five days.

One of the best films of the 1980’s and certainly one of Schwarzenegger’s finest roles, “Predator“ is a film I’ve seen more times than I care to remember. Directed by John McTiernan, who would go on to helm “Die Hard” the following year (arguably the greatest action movie ever made), the film is an excellent mix of gung-ho action and sci-fi horror with a truly iconic monster (designed by Stan Winston). The rare and original UK quad film poster offered here is from first year of release 1987 and was created by a team at the FEREF design agency, including Stephen Laws, Frank Hillary and acclaimed movie poster artist Brian Bysouth. This was one of the first film posters by the artist to have been created with photo composition and not painted, as had been the case with his previous posters. This ‘thermal imaging’ version has a great action image of Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and is considered a classic amongst collectors of the genre. Originally folded (as issued – the fold lines are soft from being stored flat for a number of years) this beautiful unrestored example displays and presents to excellent effect. Sought after and extremely hard to find in this high grade condition it represents a fine piece of collectable original movie memorabilia.

“Before man walked the earth…it slept for centuries. It is evil. It is real. It is awakening.”
“Prince of Darkness” sees John Carpenter not just in the director’s chair, he wrote the soundtrack and also the screenplay under the pseudonym Martin Quatermass, which is a direct homage to Bernard Quatermass, the lead character in Hammer’s film and TV series that started with The Quatermass Experiment and that features several elements in common with Carpenter’s story. The film is the second in what the director calls his ‘Apocalypse Trilogy’ that started with The Thing (1982) and ended with In the Mouth of Madness (1994) and is the result of Carpenter’s interest in theoretical physics and atomic theory as well as the idea of an ultimate evil or ‘anti-god’ combined with the physics-based concept of matter and anti-matter. Carpenter always a well regarded and popular film maker has enjoyed a huge renaissance in more recent years so it was no surprise that this title was one of four seminal movies by the director re-released by Studio Canal in 2018, remastered in 4K, with the others being “They Live”, “Escape From New York” and “The Fog”. All four movies had a strictly limited cinematic release and were accompanied a newly designed poster campaign (quads and one-sheets) by leading artist Matt Ferguson. Ferguson’s unique artistic style is evident throughout the four, each with its very own unique colour palette. A number of these full-size 30″ x 40″ UK quad styles were also released as a limited edition art print by Vice Press. Identical to the cinematic quad, in fact exactly the same – same paper, printer etc these were issued as timed releases each signed and hand-numbered by Matt Ferguson. Offered here is one of these signed art prints numbered #48 from a print run of only 184. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents in excellent condition. A cool, cult poster that represents very collectable & desirable original film memorabilia from one of the greatest and most influential director’s who is still actively working in the film industry.
Trivia: John Carpenter claims to have been fascinated with religion ever since watching the old Hammer horror films and how Holy Water would destroy vampires.
