  Autographed with character name Anna by Britt Ekland at HorrorCon 2024 (Sunday 12th May). This original black & white publicity still features Ekland’s Anna (in one of the most memorable scenes from the movie) having phone sex with Caine’s Carter. Flat and unfolded (as issued), in exceptional condition, and offered in a custom made black frame finished with UV plexiglass. A movie that is highly regarded as a true classic of the genre and a hugely collectable piece of horror, sci-fi film memorabilia…“Frank wasn’t like that. I’m the villain in the family, remember?”

  Trivia: Sir Michael Caine made subtle changes to Mike Hodges‘ depiction of Carter in the script, cut out pleasantries and gave him a cold, hard edge, closer to Ted Lewis‘ original envisioning of the character.

  Trivia: Unused music composed for this film was later used by Ennio Morricone in Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight (2015). Ironically, Morricone’s Thing score was nominated for a Razzie for worst score, while his score for Hateful Eight won him an Oscar.

  Top Gun

  “I feel the need, the need for speed”

  Absolute cheese on a stick, but “Top Gun” proves that that’s not always a bad thing. This movie’s got everything – an arrogant prodigy who’d be out on his arse if he wasn’t so good, a sensible, uglier best friend, a love interest, an arch nemesis and his dumb sidekick, a few cool high fives and catchphrases, an emotional death scene, a euphoric victory scene and of course, some unforgettable action scenes, punctuated by a cracking soundtrack. What more could any red-blooded child of the 1980s ask for ? Well, how about this original black & white press publicity still featuring Tom Cruise as Lt.Pete Mitchell or as he’s better known “Maverick” and the love of his life (at least in this movie) Kelly McGillis as Charlie – this image is the same used on the worldwide poster campaign that accompanied the Film’s release. Presented flat and unfolded (as issued) this original 1986 publicity stills present exceptionally well. One of the most collected and desirable titles from the 1980s that represents an outstanding example of original cinematic movie memorabilia.

  Trivia: Riding on the back of this film’s success, the U.S. Navy set up recruiting booths in the major cinemas to try and catch some of the adrenaline charged guys leaving the screenings. They had the highest applications rate for years as a result.
