Trivia: In an establishing shot of the city, a Pan Am advert can be seen in the top left. The bankrupt airlines inclusion is a reference to Blade Runner (1982) which also had an in-film advert for them.

Released as “The Complete Metropolis” due to the addition of 25 minutes of found footage (found in an old Argentinean cinema). This reconstructed and restored sci fi classic is truly deserving the accolade of a cinematic masterpiece. Reconstructed and restored with an additional 25 minutes Fritz Lang’s sci fi classic is truly deserving the accolade of a cinematic masterpiece. Originally rolled this looks spectacular and displays to impressive effect. Due to a very limited cinematic release (a small number of ‘art-house’ theatres) these examples are extremely scarce and sought after and represent a fine item of very collectable film movie memorabilia.
Trivia: So influential on Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster that they named their character’s city after it.

“Some Secrets Are Too Huge To Hide”
An amazing, colourful, full of fun film poster from first year of release 1999 for Brad Bird’s giant alien robot animated adventure “The Iron Giant”. This really is stunning, retro styling and beautiful rich blue/green colour tones, this country of origin US one sheet is the incredibly scarce International version. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents and displays to excellent effect. Perfectly designed to suit the portrait layout of a one sheet it certainly impresses and represents a great looking, cleverly imagined piece of original movie memorabilia…“For the child in all of us ?”
Trivia: The Iron Giant and Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy are both voiced by Vin Diesel and, in both times, the sound technician that worked on it was Doc Kane. Both characters end up sacrificing themselves, but are ultimately resurrected.

A stunning piece of country unique British film poster artwork based upon the original Mike Francis imagery for one the 80’s finest movie’s…. James Cameron’s “The Terminator”. Spawning a number of big screen sequels, TV series’ this is arguably the most influential cinematic offering of the decade ? In 2014 the BFI revealed a special collection of one night only screenings celebrating all things Sci-Fi. Many masterpieces were screened during the event including Cameron’s iconic “The Terminator”. The film marked its 30th anniversary at the event with Francis’ original Quad design reworked by the Steve Crisp IX Gallery depicting Arnie with spiky hair. From 2014 this beautiful near perfect rolled (as issued) example is offered unrestored with minimal handling wear and deep unfaded colours…An excellent example that will not disappoint. A very scarce poster for a film that launched the Hollywood careers of James Cameron & of course Arnie, in his most defining role that represents highly collectable movie poster memorabilia for one of cinema’s greatest movies and a cultural phenomenon.
Trivia: Arnold Schwarzenegger originally wanted to play Kyle Reese. But James Cameron had a different idea and saw Schwarzenegger in the title role of The Terminator and Cameron said to Schwarzenegger, “This movie is not about the hero. It’s about The Terminator.”
