  • Sid & Nancy Movie Poster

    Sid & Nancy

    £65.00

“Sidney’s more than a mere bass player. He’s a fabulous disaster. He’s a symbol, a metaphor, he embodies the dementia of a nihilistic generation. He’s a fuckin’ star.”

One of the rarer posters from Ale Cox’s movie that was meant to define punk’s ‘Posh & Becks’. This is the 2016, 30th Anniversary re-release for the punk-rocku-drama “Sid & Nancy”. Considering it was such a bleak and colourless film the use of bright yellow and red as a main part of the design is unusual to say the least. Still it works & this originally rolled (as issued) version displays and presents to excellent effect and looks superb. If you were a fan, a punk or identify with the film then this is a great snapshot of the time, the pop culture and the genre.

Trivia: Gary Oldman lived on a diet of steamed fish and melon to lose enough weight to play the emaciated, heroin-addicted Sid, and was hospitalized when he went too far and became malnourished.

  • The-Beatles-Eight-Days-A-Week-Movie-Poster

The Beatles: Eight Days A Week

    £55.00

“The band you know. The story you don’t.”

“The Beatles: Eight Days A Week (The Touring Years)” is an outstanding documentary that features footage of the heady concert years of 1963 to 1966 when the band became a worldwide cultural phenomena topping them all. Furthermore, it also follows how the ‘Fab Four’ began to change and grow while the excitement of ‘Beatlemania’ began to sour their lives into an intolerable slog they needed to escape from.  A mesmeric and engrossing rock documentary film for one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time. With a very limited release & showing in only a handful of independent and art-house cinemas the advertising campaign was very low key and the UK film poster that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release is truly scarce. Designed by the Los Angeles based visual communications company Gravillis Inc. it utilises a previously unseen colour candid photograph of the Group. Originally rolled this incredibly rare 2016 example displays to excellent effect…All in all a fantastic item of original collectable music/ film / cultural  memorabilia  presented in first class condition…View the trailer here… http://The Beatles: Eight Days A Week

  • The-Naked-Runner-Movie-Poster

    The Naked Runner

    £75.00

“They found the key to Sam Laker. They wound it up good and tight. And then they turned him loose”

Striking and very modern design (for the late 1960’s) for the Frank Sinatra produced (he also starred) political thriller “The Naked Runner”. Filmed largely in England and Europe the movie has a great 60’s vibe and was very under-rated on its release. The paper produced to accompany the release is all of the highest quality and different for each country, with the country of origin (US) one sheet being particularly memorable (although Nistri’s art for theItalian release is one of the best images of Sinatra you will find). Offered here is an original US one sheet movie poster from first year of release 1967, originally folded (as issued) it displays and presents very well with minor handling & age wear. A fantastic looking and very collectable piece of genuine movie memorabilia from one of entertainments biggest stars.

    The Revenant

    £55.00

“Revenant – One who has returned, as if from the dead.”

Acclaimed Oscar winning film maker Alejandro G. Iñárritu directed, co-wrote and produced the multi award winning 2015 movie “The Revenant” that gained star Leonardo DiCaprio his first Oscar win and walked away with a further 2 Academy Awards including Best Director for himself from 12 Nominations. The poster imagery is a striking close up photograph design of DiCaprio using colour filters that just scream COLD.  A fantastic looking poster, this is a scarce “In Cinemas January 15th” Advance Teaser (pre-Oscar (with minimal credits – most UK posters feature the Academy Awards) example of the 2015 UK quad movie poster. Guaranteed original, it is presented in excellent near mint rolled (as issued) condition it appears almost faultless and represents an investment grade example of desirable and collectable original film movie memorabilia for not only one one of Hollywood’s most prominent actor’s in Leonardo DiCaprio but also an exciting emerging young director in Alejandro G. “The name of the game, moving the money from the client’s pocket to your pocket”

A rare example of the Advance Teaser ‘Coming Soon’ UK quad movie poster for Martin Scorsese’s 2013  biopic of drug-fuelled New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort the titular “The Wolf of Wall Street”. Designed by the creative arts agency BLT Communications this is the Award winning first Advance Teaser version featuring a bold simple design concept just using black lettering offset against a fading gold background; effective and very clever. I particularly like the $ signs representing the States of America in the flag. • True-Blood-Movie-Poster

    TRUE BLOOD

    £50.00

    “Do Bad Things…”

With the growing popularity of online streaming and Viewing On Demand certain TV shows have achieved viewing figures that are comparable to major Hollywood films. Alan Ball’s “TRUE BLOOD” is one such TV show. Based on the best selling vampire novels of Charlaine Harris the HBO produced series proved incredibly popular running over 7 Seasons from 2008 – 2014. Introducing the viewer to vampires, werewolves, witches, goblins and fairies “TRUE BLOOD” was one of the most popular TV shows across the globe without a truly large and devoted fan base. Like the Movie studios, TV companies began treating their shows with similar advertising campaigns and posters and merchandising were produced to promote their most popular products. This is a rare example of the 201o US one sheet style TV poster used to promote Season 3 of “TRUE BLOOD”. Featuring a great ‘dark moody’ and very sexy cast shot it’s a fantastic looking piece and guaranteed original. Presented in excellent near mint rolled (as issued) condition it appears almost faultless and represents an investment grade example of desirable and collectable original TV memorabilia.
