The late 1970’s is generally regarded as a ‘golden’ age for explosive action movies at the cinema and in 1978 three of the greatest, hard drinking actors of their generation were signed up to star in Andrew V.McLaglen’s British actioner “The Wild Geese”. Released at a time to be considered politically incorrect it never achieved the success or praise it richly deserved but has since gone on to be a firm favourite with fans of gritty action genre films. The artwork of the original 1978 movie poster has been adapted here to complement the 2025 4K Remastered release and once again offers some exceptional character driven artwork by Arnaldo Putzu of Roger Moore, Richard Harris, Hardy Kruger and Richard Burton against an eye catching golden backdrop that really accentuates Putzu’s imagery. Originally rolled (as issued) with minimal handling wear this beautiful film poster represents a truly outstanding example of rare and collectable original movie memorabilia from one of the best British action films of the late 70’s. These posters are unique to the UK and extremely scarce and used only to promote the very limited cinema screenings.
Trivia: Sir Roger Moore requested to have fewer lines in his scenes with Sir Richard Burton and Richard Harris. This kind of request was almost unheard of from a major star. His reasoning was, “You don’t seriously expect me to act against these guys?”

This original 1988 US one sheet “They Live” movie poster is a great looking example of John Carpenter paper from the 80’s and genuinely rare in this country of origin format. The striking design features a very close, close-up of ‘Nada’ with the Alien infiltrators reflected in his trademark sunglasses. Originally folded (as issued) it presents in very good original unrestored condition with only the minimal of fold line wear and strong bright colours. A cool, cult poster that represents very collectable & desirable original film memorabilia from one of the greatest and most influential director’s who is still actively working in the sci-fi / horror / action genre.
Trivia: Artist Shepard Fairey credits the film as a major source of inspiration, sharing a similar logo to his “OBEY” campaign. “They Live was…the basis for my use of the word ‘obey’,” Fairey said. “The movie has a very strong message about the power of commercialism and the way that people are manipulated by advertising.”

John Carpenter’s tale of alien occupation “They Live” is part horror, part sci-fi and part social satire, all viewed through dark sun-glasses of Nada played by ex-professional wrestler Roddy Piper. Considered one of Carpenter’s best it was one of four seminal movies by the director re-released by Studio Canal in 2018, remastered in 4K, with the others being “Escape From New York”, “Prince of Darkness” and “The Fog”. All four movies had a strictly limited cinematic release and were accompanied a newly designed poster campaign (quads and one-sheets) by leading artist Matt Ferguson. Ferguson’s unique artistic style is evident throughout the four, each with its very own unique colour palette. A number of these full-size 30″ x 40″ UK quad styles were also released as a limited edition art print by Vice Press. Identical to the cinematic quad, in fact exactly the same – same paper, printer etc these were issued as timed releases each signed and hand-numbered by Matt Ferguson. Offered here is one of these signed art prints numbered #48 from a print run of only 216. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents in excellent condition. A cool, cult poster that represents very collectable & desirable original film memorabilia from one of the greatest and most influential director’s who is still actively working in the film industry.

Released on Netflix in July 2023 “WHAM!” is one the channel’s most streamed programmes, documenting (largely through the scrap book diaries kept by Andrew Ridgeley’s Mum) the effervescent rise of the happy go lucky pop duo and the emergence of George into a global solo singer/song-writer superstar. Prior to the film’s Netflix release it was screened for one-night only on June 27th in only a small number of select cinemas throughout the UK. The poster (a UK quad) used to accompany and promote this release features the imagery of photographer Chris Craymer. His photograph perfectly captures the charm, bubbliness, friendship and true happiness of the duo as they were starting out on their musical journey. Incredibly rare, due to the very limited number of cinemas showing the movie, this originally rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and represents a fantastic and hugely collectable item of music and movie memorabilia.

An exceptionally rare Indian Three-Sheet from 1969 (the first year of release in India) for Brian G. Hutton’s action packed World War II thriller “Where Eagles Dare” features artwork by C. Mohan based on the original design by Frank McCarthy. The cable car scene is one of the best remembered and most famous scenes from the film and all of the elements are the same, from Eastwood on the cable car to the Castle of The Eagle engulfed in flames in the background. Fans of Bollywood will know at least one of C. Mohan’s pieces as he designed the title for “Sholay”, which is widely considered the greatest Bollywood movie of all time. One of the most collected British action adventure war films ever produced, with the originally folded (as issued) example offered here being presented conservation linen-backed – it displays to excellent with colours that pop, thanks to the stone litho printing process. Of all the action / adventure films I deal with there is no doubt that “Where Eagles Dare” appears to have an incredible fan base and this superb poster represents a fine piece of original movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The driving force behind this movie was Richard Burton‘s stepson, who wanted to see his stepfather in a good old-fashioned adventure movie. Burton approached producer Elliott Kastner for ideas, who asked Alistair MacLean. At that time, most of MacLean’s novels had either been made into movies, or were in the process of being filmed. Kastner persuaded MacLean to write a new story. Six weeks later, MacLean delivered the script.

A stunning country of origin, UK quad film poster for Brian G. Hutton’s action packed World War II thriller “Where Eagles Dare”. This original UK quad from first year of release (1968 with correct ‘square’ Lonsdale & Bartholomew printer’s logo) features great action adventure artwork and lovely deep rich unfaded colours. A rare, first release, 1968 Style B US one-sheet movie poster for Brian G. Hutton’s action packed World War II thriller “Where Eagles Dare”. This photographic imagery shows the famous drinking scene, taking place in Schloss Adler’s bierkeller as Richard Burton & Clint Eastwood (circled on the poster) mix with nazi officers guarding the castle. A really clever and memorable design that, because it was so different and out of the norm for an action adventure movie was printed in particularly low numbers when compared to the regular design; genuinely very, very hard to find. One of the most collected British action adventure war films ever produced. Originally folded (as issued) the example offered here has been professionally conservation linen backed to a very high standard by Backing to the Future (Their Certificate of Authenticity #2796 is included) and now appears rolled – it really does display to exceptional effect. Of all the action / adventure films I deal with there is no doubt that “Where Eagles Dare” appears to have an incredible fan base and this excellent poster represents a fine piece of original movie memorabilia.

“Look out for that WILD Mr. Toad !”
Originally released as a mini double feature in 1949 under the title “The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.” Walt Disney’s classic “Wind in the Willows” won a devoted adoring fan base and often featured as a popular ‘filler’ for other Disney films and in 1955 garnered such a following it earned its own poster. The UK quad for this release is a magical piece of Disney illustration featuring Toad enthusiastically driving his latest automobile closely followed by the local constabulary as the supporting cast; Rat, McBadger, Mole, Cyril Proudbottom look on…A FUN poster and one that is genuinely scarce when compared to the mainstream offerings from the ‘House of Mouse’ . This is a rare opportunity for a collector to obtain one of these scarce standalone film posters. First class country unique British design and true to the film animation artwork it features lovely bright bold unfaded colours offset against a truly white background; originally folded (as issued) this unrestored film poster presents very well and is a fine example of rare and collectable original movie memorabilia for a much loved and animated Walt Disney classic.

The heroics of the British Army never looked better than featured here on this beautiful 50th Anniversary (2014) country of origin UK quad film poster for Cy Endfield’s “ZULU”. A global box office success that effectively made Michael Caine a worldwide star and further cemented the serious acting credentials of British movie greats Stanley Baker & Jack Hawkins. This ultra rare example features incredible unique artwork only used for this one-night only screening on June 10th 2014 . Rolled (as issued) this presents to excellent effect with heroic graphics and strong bright vivid colours – stunning when viewed in person that represents an extremely scarce and desirable item of original British cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: Joseph E. Levine said he would back any project Stanley Baker wanted to do. Baker said there was a project he was planning. Levine asked what it was called, and Baker replied, “Zulu.” Levine said, “‘Zulu’! I like that title. I will back you.”
