“This Time It’s War”
An alternative movie poster for James Cameron’s “Aliens”, that is unquestionably one of the highlights for the title. Being one of the most popular subjects for alternative movie posters, artist Paul Mann has created an incredible looking poster (his second for the franchise after his hugely well received Alien in 2021) and one of my personal favourites for the movie. His hand-numbered #52/75 screen print is truly a stunning piece that has captured the alien queen and the actors’ likenesses with real accuracy and colours that have an amazing, vibrancy. “Aliens” has gone on to become a benchmark for the sci-fi actioner. The alternative movie poster offered here is from 2025 and presents to excellent effect in original unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition that represents a fine piece of movie memorabilia and artwork from a truly influential movie that changed the face of the modern sci-fi action movie forever.
Trivia: Sigourney Weaver‘s Best Actress Academy Award nomination for this movie was the first ever for an actress in a role in an action and sci-fi movie.

An impressive and eye-catching item from the hand of master illustrator – Paul Mann, for the classic Paul Newman prison chain gang drama “Cool Hand Luke”. This stunning alternative movie poster features a beautiful image of Newman (dressed in prison fatigue double denim) along with the outstanding supporting cast in the background with Boss Godfrey (Morgan Woodward) one of the most prominent – He never removed the sunglasses throughout nor spoke a word and became known as ‘the man with no eyes’ one of the most significant and memorable characters from the Film. Hand-Numbered #69 from a print run of only 100, this originally rolled (as issued) example looks and displays to excellent effect. Unquestionably one of Newman’s finest roles, in a motion picture that has become near legendary and (rightly so) this modern re-imagining represents a highly collectable piece of artwork and a rare item of movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Two hundred hard-boiled eggs were provided for one of the film’s most famous sequences. Due to clever editing, Paul Newman only ate about eight altogether. The rest were consumed by the cast and crew, which led to extreme cases of flatulence the next day.

“The Crow” is an excellent tragic film made even more tragic by the real life tragedies surrounding the film (Brandon Lee’s death during filming, and the fact that the story is a result of James O’Barr’s personal loss of his fiancée). Based on a very dark comic book, the film has the same dark feel and that same dark feel is very much in evidence in this excellent alternative movie poster by Paul Mann. This hand-numbered (#79/150) Saniose variant printing really is superb with Mann perfectly capturing the character – in likeness and tone with the coloured inks, separated by Saniose an incredible finishing touch. This is an impressive screen print that has to be seen in person as the photographs really don’t do it justice. Originally rolled (as issued) this magnificent example represents a hugely collectable item of movie memorabilia from a truly iconic cult movie.
Trivia: Even though the movie, based on the comic, is called ‘The Crow’, none of the birds used in the film were actually crows. All of them were in fact ravens, which are much larger than crows and have a longer, more impressive beak.

Although a relatively recent release any paper for Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2011 violent car-themed actioner “DRIVE” is extremely scarce. His award winning film has been complemented by a series of alternative movie posters and in 2021 Mad Duck commissioned leading artist – Paul Mann to create his version which has been hand-numbered #89/325. Mann has produced an outstanding addition to the title, truly eye-catching and super stylish as he focuses on the lead and supporting characters. The deep, rich colours are predominantly purple colour palette with ‘Drive’ printed in contrasting bright pink ink. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with very minimal handling wear. An extremely scarce, selling out in near record time modern art print collectable item of movie memorabilia that looks very very cool !
Trivia: In preparation for his role, Ryan Gosling restored the 1973 Chevy Malibu that his character uses in the film.

“Scream as your nightmares come true”
Sam Raimi’s “The Evil Dead” is one of the best horror comedy movies ever made, full of dark humour and gory thrills. As most people know, this is one of the greatest performing films, dollar for dollar in cinematic history. One of the most popular film titles for alternative movie posters artists, this 2018 hand-numbered (#18/100) print by Paul Mann is a standout piece and a proper horror poster as a chainsaw wielding Ash (Bruce Campbell) accompanied by his demonically possessed supporting cast and as Mann has cleverly illustrated here includes the haunted cabin and the iconic yellow 1973 Oldsmobile Delta. Presented in excellent condition this rolled (as issued) example displays superbly that represents an impressive piece of horror artwork and is a hugely desirable alternative movie poster. “I know now that my wife has become host to a Kandarian demon. I fear that the only way to stop those possessed by the spirits of the book is through the act of… bodily dismemberment.”
Trivia: Over his years as a director, Raimi’s 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 (originally bought by Raimi’s father for the family when Sam was 14) has “played” Ash’s car in the Evil Dead movies, Uncle Ben and Aunt May’s car in the Spider-Man movies, Annie’s car in The Gift (2000), and Mrs. Ganoush’s car in Drag Me to Hell (2009), and has made cameos in nearly all of his other movies.

“The Trick Was To Stay Alive”
John Carpenter’s masterpiece of modern horror “Halloween” was the first and by far the best of this enduring film franchise which acted as the definitive slasher flick. The artwork for any of the film poster produced are all extremely collectable and strikingly individual in design; from the ‘Jack O’Lantern’ US one sheet to the UK quad film poster featuring a screaming Jamie Lee Curtis as Michael Myers’ hand appears at the car window; all seen through an icy blue haze. Offered here is one of the best of the more modern alternative movie poster designs by the artist Paul Mann. Mann’s stunning imagery and use of bold colour tones makes for a truly eye-catching piece as a menacing Michael Myers takes centre stage against a backdrop of a flaming halloween pumpkin. Released in 2024 as a limited edition of only 70 (this is hand-numbered #12). Originally rolled, flat-unfolded (as issued) the example offered displays to exceptional effect and represents a truly outstanding and extremely desirable item of collectable John Carpenter horror movie memorabilia.
Trivia: John Carpenter considered the hiring of Jamie Lee Curtis as the ultimate tribute to Sir Alfred Hitchcock who had given her mother, Janet Leigh, legendary status in Psycho (1960) (for the same reason, Dr. Sam Loomis was named after Sam Loomis from Psycho). During the same period, Universal studio producers and director Richard Franklin were trying to enroll Jamie Lee in the new production of Psycho II (1983).

A scarce giclee fine art print by Paul Mann for Martin Campbell’s hugely successful reinventing of the Bond franchise “Casino Royale” featuring Daniel Craig as 007 James Bond. And it is Craig’s Bond (resplendent in signature dinner suit) and Vesper Lynd (Eva Green) who are featured on this incredible limited edition, hand-numbered (#37/75) print. The imagery focuses on a key scene from the movie as Bond is seen gambling at the poker table as Vesper looks on in her scene stealing purple dress. Selling out immediately on release, and due to the very limited print run these are extremely scarce and sought after. Originally rolled (as issued) it is presented in excellent condition, with the giclee finish giving a hand-painted effect – it really does look fantastic and represents an impressive piece of highly collectable James Bond 007 movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The way Bond orders his first vodka martini is lifted directly from the Ian Fleming novels.

An absolutely beautiful fine art print by Paul Mann for Roger Moore’s debut as Ian Fleming’s super-spy James Bond 007 in Guy Hamilton’s “Live And Let Die”. Mann has been commissioned to create alternative movie posters for all the early Bond movies and after finishing with the Connery titles has now moved on to Moore’s tenure, resulting in this sold out private commission offering. It is a movie poster in every sense of the word, with Mann recreating an incredible Bond posters. His detailed and stylish illustrations perfectly capture the voodoo theme of the movie, with the Tarot card display just amazing. Add to that the famous boat chase / jump sequence, the alligator farm, the enigmatic Solitaire (Jane Seymour), the villainous Baron Samedi (Geoffrey Holder) and you have a ‘perfect’ 007 poster. The use of the familiar title lettering and incorporating the “007” reference is worked into Roger Moore’s name and a dagger is also cleverly inserted into the “I” of the title script “DIE” adds a nice touch to Mann’s reworked artwork. Incredibly scarce, this one-sheet style (portrait) hand-numbered (#81/145) piece is offered as originally supplied, flat and unfolded (as issued). Printed on Fabriano Tiepolo Specialist Paper using 10 coloured inks it presents and displays to excellent effect with vibrant colours. A stunning item that represents a fine example of extremely collectable James Bond memorabilia.
Trivia: The producers offered Clint Eastwood the role of James Bond, fresh from his success with Dirty Harry (1971). He was flattered, but declined, saying that Bond should be played by an English actor. Notably, Bond uses a Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum in this film, the gun made hugely popular by the Dirty Harry film franchise.

“Far Up…Far Out…Far More..”
An outstanding first year of release Japanese STB/Tatekan movie poster for George Lazenby‘s one & only appearance as Ian Fleming’s super spy James Bond in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. A magnificent, James Bond poster with bold vibrant colours and a combination of intricate and detailed all-action artwork combining the artwork of Frank McCarthy and Robert McGinnis with photographic imagery. Immediately recognisable as a Bond film and at almost 5′ tall it’s truly impressive. Genuinely rare, the tatekan STB format had much lower print numbers compared to regular Japanese B2s. Offered in two sections as distributed to cinema and presented unrestored in original rolled condition this example displays to superb effect and represents a fantastic piece of collectable James Bond cinematic memorabilia from one of the most respected entries in this long running franchise.
Trivia: George Lazenby suggested a scene where Bond skis off a cliff and opens a parachute. This was scrapped, as the filmmakers lacked the resources to pull it off. It was used as the opening for The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).

Probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. It also happens to be one of the best and most memorable movie poster images ever ! So why reinvent it ? Of all the different variations for a “Jaws” poster, this alternative movie poster titled ‘The Orca’ by Paul Mann, is particularly striking, as he illustrates one of the most memorable scenes from the movie. This Artist Proof edition is hand-numbered #19/35. Totally unrestored this beautiful rolled, unfolded (as issued) example displays to exceptional effect, and as a printed using the giclee process the colours pop from the paper. Trivia: Several decades after the film’s release, Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner, walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed that the menu had an “Alex Kintner Sandwich.” She commented that she had played his mother so many years ago; the owner of the restaurant ran out to meet her, and he was none other than Jeffrey Voorhees, who had played her son. They had not seen each other since the original movie shoot.
What is Giclee ?
Derived from the French term gicler – meaning ‘to squirt or spray’, the term describes a printing process whereby microscopic dots of pigment-based ink are sprayed onto archival-quality paper to ensure the fidelity of a limited edition print to an original artwork.
The richness, accuracy and depth of colour is thanks to the method’s potential to achieve a huge colour gamut (the spectrum of colours distinguishable by the human eye). Unlike the four tones used in lithography, giclées often use five: light cyan, cyan, light magenta, yellow and black.
Fantastic for reproductions which require maximum detail, giclées are most commonly found on watercolour paper or canvas, but can also be created on glass. Different types of paper will produce different effects. Matte paper works well behind glass due its lack of reflectivity, whilst the shine of a glossy finish can give an artwork a brighter appearance.

“If it doesn’t scare you, you’re already dead!”
In 1968 George A. Romero released the zombie classic “Night of the Living Dead”. A hugely popular title with many artists, with a number of different designs produced. In 2023 artist, Paul Mann created the first of his ‘Living Dead’ trilogy and it’s fair to say he has produced a stunning alternative movie poster. A truly striking image that is perfectly suited to the portrait format of this edition. This limited edition art print is hand-numbered #26 from a print run of 150. With incredible likenesses of all the major cast, it is the trowel wielding zombie Karen Cooper (Kyra Schon) who takes centre stage with the use of lurid green coloured inks only adding to the eerie effect of this edition. This excellent example presents and displays near perfectly and represents a fantastic piece of collectable movie memorabilia from one of the most influential horror film’s ever made.
