Probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. It also happens to be one of the best and most memorable movie poster images ever ! So why reinvent it ? Of all the different variations for a “Jaws” poster, this alternative movie poster by Thai artist Kwow for Stephen Spielberg’s “Jaws” is a spectacular display of imaginative artwork. Kwow’s impressive artwork beautifully portrays the most memorable scenes from the film and is beautifully complemented by some amazing realistic likenesses of the main cast members – Quint (Robert Shaw), Chief Brody (Roy Scheider) and Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss). Film and alternative movie posters by Thai artists are starting to gain a strong following with collectors, and with artists like Ise Ananphada, Banhan, Kwow and Tongdee Panumas, it’s easy to see why. This very limited release of only 100, has been hand-numbered #47 in pencil. Totally unrestored this beautiful rolled, unfolded (as issued) example displays to exceptional effect, and was awarded ‘Art of the Week’ by the most respected site for alternative movie posters – expressobeans.com for 06/19/24. A truly outstanding art print that represents a key item of highly sought after modern cinematic memorabilia…“You’re gonna need a bigger boat !”
Trivia: Several decades after the film’s release, Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner, walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed that the menu had an “Alex Kintner Sandwich.” She commented that she had played his mother so many years ago; the owner of the restaurant ran out to meet her, and he was none other than Jeffrey Voorhees, who had played her son. They had not seen each other since the original movie shoot.
…more detailSteven Spielberg’s ‘Jaws’ is probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. It also caused a surge in cases of aqua phobia (fear of water) and that’s largely attributable to Roger Kastel’s original marketing campaign who created one of the best and most memorable movie poster images ever ! So why reinvent it ? Well, it’s just so popular and one of the most licensed of all titles when it comes to the growing market for alternative movie posters. This artist signed and hand-numbered (#19/25) limited edition Artist Proof print by Graham Humphreys is a real eye-catcher and is considered one of the best and most desirable currently produced; incredible character driven imagery of Chief Brody, Quint, Hooper and of course the 25ft great white shark. A very limited private commission that was sold out prior to release. This originally rolled unfolded (as issued) example displays to exceptional effect. Perfect in every way, print quality and colours are truly outstanding. An extremely scarce art poster print that represents a key item of highly sought after modern cinematic memorabilia…“You’re gonna need a bigger boat !”

…more detailAlthough a relatively recent release any paper for Keanu Reeves’ John Wick franchise is extremely desirable. This incredibly popular film series is always complemented by an equally incredible series of movie posters and for the 2024 re-release the acclaimed Batman and comic book artist, Jock was commissioned to create something special for the 10th Anniversary, and he has not disappointed. Offered here is the Style B, US/International one-sheet for “John Wick” which features the ‘Baba-Yaga’ imagined in Jock’s unique style. Distinctive with its bold use of red and black colour, it really is an impressive looking poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect with only very minimal handling wear. Having a very limited cinematic release of only two days this is a truly scarce item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from one of the best action franchises in recent memory that looks very very cool !
Trivia: Keanu Reeves became so proficient in tactical training, that his instructors said he was almost TOO good, at performing many tasks, such as reloading a magazine, faster and better than professional soldiers would in live-fire combat situations.
…more detailAlthough a relatively recent release any paper for Keanu Reeves’ John Wick franchise is extremely desirable. This incredibly popular film series which has changed the way action movies are made has spawned (too date) three sequels, a documentary (Wick is Pain), a TV series (The Continental) and character spin-off movie with Ana de Armas as Ballerina. Complemented by an equally incredible series of movie posters this example designed by creative arts agency LA which features ‘Baba-Yaga’ John Wick in close up aiming a gun is without doubt the rarest and most sought after. When first released in 2014 it took cinema audiences by surprise as they expected an another average action movie starring an unfashionable actor who hadn’t made a decent movie for years – JOHN WICK changed that overnight as Keanu let everyone know – “I’m thinkin’ I’m back” . Because of low Studio expectation the initial marketing budget was minimal which resulted in only a limited number of cinema posters printed – they are incredibly scarce. Offered here is an original, first release (2014), country of origin US one-sheet. Dark & moody, it really is an impressive and eye-catching design. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays superbly with minimal only handling wear; the dark shades of green, purples and blacks are deep and unfaded. This is the first time in over nine years that I have managed to source one. It truly is one of the most collectable movie posters in recent memory from a supremely influential action franchise that looks very very cool !
Trivia: The film reunites Keanu Reeves, Daniel Bernhardt, and Randall Duk Kim, along with producers-directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, all of whom were involved in The Matrix Trilogy.

This incredibly popular film series is always complemented by an equally incredible series of movie posters and for the 2024 re-release this close-up dark and moody photographic image of Reeves was used to create something special for the 10th Anniversary. Offered here is the Style A, US/International one-sheet for “John Wick”. Distinctive with its bold use of a dark colour palette and extreme close-up headshot of Reeves, it really is an impressive looking poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect with only very minimal handling wear. …more detailAlthough a relatively recent release any paper for Keanu Reeves’ John Wick franchise is extremely desirable. This incredibly popular film series is always complemented by an equally incredible series of movie posters and again the creative arts agency LA have not disappointed. Offered here is the 2019 Advance International/Thai one-sheet for “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” which features ultra-assasin John Wick with ‘dog’ in the lounge of The Continerntal. Dark & moody, it really is a great looking poster design and for me the best from the movie with the photo not really doming justice to what is a stunning item. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with minimal handling wear; the dark shades of blues, purples and blacks are deep and unfaded. A scarce item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from one of the best new action franchises in recent memory that looks very very cool !
Trivia: The title “Parabellum” comes from the Latin phrase: “Si vis pacem, para bellum” which means “If you want peace, prepare for war.” It is also an alternate name for the ubiquitous 9mm handgun cartridge (“9mm Parabellum”). The phrase itself appears twice in the movie: it is tattooed on the back of the ballerina girl in the beginning, and Winston (Ian McShane) says it out loud later in the movie.

He was a king and a god in the world he knew, but now he comes to civilization merely a captive – a show to gratify your curiosity. Ladies and gentlemen, look at Kong, the Eighth Wonder of the World.”
An original 1993, 60th Anniversary US one-sheet for the classic “King Kong”. Re-released numerous times since its original 1933 premiere, this one-sheet takes its design inspiration from the 1960s re-release poster as Kong holds Ann Darrow (Fay Wray) against the backdrop of the the New York City skyline. I do like the use of black and white as a homage to how the original release was filmed – it also makes the gold and red title lettering really stand out. Any paper for “King Kong” is extremely sought after and collectable, which makes this 1993 example hugely desirable as it was printed in very limited numbers to coincide with a strictly limited New York City cinematic release and the 60th Anniversary release of the movie on video. Offered in superb, rolled (as issued) condition it represents an excellent piece of cinema history from the most influential monster movie of all time.
Trivia: This is the only film to debut at the two largest theaters in New York City, the Roxy and Radio City Music Hall, simultaneously. The total seating capacity was about 10,000; it sold out every performance (10 per day) at both theaters.
…more detailAlthough a relatively recent release any paper for Damien Chazelle’s 2016 multi award winning musical romance phenomenon “La La Land” is scarce. Taking audiences by storm at the box-office it was never expected (by the Studio) to be the huge worldwide success it turned out to be with a merchandising and marketing budget not reflected in the success. Hence the rarity of the film posters. Chazelle’s Oscar winning film was complemented with an award winning movie poster created by the creative arts agency LA. Stylish and simple the movie poster offered here is the British UK quad film poster affectionately known as the “dancing style” with both stars, Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) & Mia (Emma Stone) prominently featured and complemented by the five star glowing reviews. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect and particularly suited to the landscape format of the UK quad. Absolutely stunning; the deep blue/purple colour range is superb and unfaded with the bright yellow of Stone’s dress shining out like a beacon. Guaranteed original this represents an extremely scarce and desirable item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from a truly remarkable film.
Trivia: The plot has strong ties to Emma Stone‘s real-life history. The movie is based in LA, and Mia is discovered as a college dropout actress pursuing her dreams. Stone is a school dropout herself, moving to LA at the age of 15 in pursuit of an acting career.

Guaranteed original this represents an extremely scarce item of modern original collectable movie memorabilia from a truly remarkable film.
Trivia: Several of Stone’s outfits are replicas of iconic dresses such as the green dress Mia wears on her first date with Sebastian which was modelled on a Judy Garland dress from the film A Star Is Born (1954). The black trousers were reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn‘s look in Funny Face (1957).

To die so that the god may live is a privilege, Kevin, and if you know anything at all about history, you will know that human sacrifice is as old as Dionin himself, whose every death is a rebirth into a god ever mightier !”
A terrifying eye-catching film poster for Ken Russell’s “Lair of the White Worm”. This original 1988 UK quad film poster is stunning; truly memorable horror imagery as we see a close up of snarling fanged snake-creature about to attack. Very in your face and not at all as understated and restrained (much like the legendary Director). With unique British, country of origin artwork this is an extremely desirable and very scarce poster. In excellent original, unrestored condition this folded (as issued) example displays to superb effect and represents an impressive item of original horror movie memorabilia from a cult British horror classic.
Trivia: The D’Ampton worm is an obvious reference to the Lambton worm, which is a real English legend, dating back at least to the mediaeval period.

“Last Days”, Gus Van Sant’s experimental film loosely inspired by Kurt Cobain’s, err, last days and the rock star that indie darling Michael Pitt satisfyingly embodies here. The original UK quad film poster to accompany the 2005 release was designed by the creative arts agency Shoolery Design and features a ‘grungey’ close up of Pitt. Like many ‘art-house’ and independent releases the advertising campaign was very low key and the UK film poster that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release is truly scarce. Originally rolled this incredibly rare example displays to excellent effect and represents a highly sought after piece of collectible music/film/ memorabilia presented in superb condition.
Trivia: Gus Van Sant had originally intended to make a direct bio-pic of Kurt Cobain in the mid-1990’s but ran into legal obstruction from Cobain’s widow, Courtney Love. Undeterred, Van Sant met with Love to discuss some ideas for the film, as well as her possible involvement. Though the two actually became friends and discussed the film for years, Van Sant eventually realized that Love was too devastated by Cobain’s death to ever collaborate on the film or even allow a bio-pic to ever be made and adapted his ideas into this fictionalized story.
