    “Fire and Ice” is a cult animated feature, based on characters co-created by Ralph Bakshi and legendary fantasy artist Frank Frazetta, and was made using the process of rotoscoping, in which scenes were shot in live-action and then traced onto animation cels. And it is from the first year of release, 1983 that this Frazetta illustrated original British UK quad is from. Impressive and exciting poster artwork promising everything that the award winning artist could offer – Frazetta is regarded as one of the greatest fantasy and science fiction artists of all time, noted for comic books, paperback book covers, paintings, posters, LP record album covers and other media, with some examples of his painted original artwork selling for seven figures, making this film poster very good value for money. Presented in lovely unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition this is a marvellous item of 1980’s nostalgia and a great piece of original cinematic movie memorabilia

    Trivia: According to director Ralph Bakshi, the animators found working for producer Frank Frazetta to be so daunting that some of them even fainted when Frazetta visited the set.

The sequel introduced one of the franchises most beloved characters; “Dobby , the House Elf”. And it was Dobby who featured on the first Advance Teaser UK quad film poster with the the foreboding warning for Harry…“Dobby has come to warn you Sir”. One of the best and certainly one of the scarcer Harry Potter posters; this style hardly ever shows up and is a great find in this high grade rolled (as issued) condition. Guaranteed original it presents superbly and represents is a fine piece of genuinely rare original Harry Potter and cinematic movie memorabilia.

    Trivia: Executive producer and director Chris Columbus instructed cinematographer Roger Pratt to bring a darker look to the movie, reflecting the darker tone of the story. Hence, the sets were lit with more subdued lighting, and the color palette was desaturated a bit. These changes would continue throughout the franchise, with each movie getting darker and increasingly desaturated.

    Trivia: The Weasleys’ car is a Ford Anglia. This is the same color and model car in which J.K. Rowling and her best friend from school used to ride around when they were younger. She used the car for the book, and later the movie, out of her fond memories of driving in it.

    Trivia: This movie and the novel on which it is based are known as “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” everywhere except the US. This was because the US publisher, Scholastic, demanded JK Rowling change the title (and corresponding text in the book) to “Sorcerer’s Stone”, believing that American audiences were largely unfamiliar with the ‘Philosopher’s Stone’ concept. To keep the movie consistent with the book, every scene in the movie where the Philosopher’s Stone is mentioned was filmed twice (once with the cast members saying “Philosopher’s”, and once with them saying “Sorcerer’s”) or dubbed (most notably, one of the times Hermoine says it in the library and her face isn’t shown).

    The Czech film poster (as offered here) from 2021 (first year of release in the Czech Republic) for My Neighbor Totoro” features the translated localised title “Můj soused Totoro” prominently displayed at the top, in large, bold, soft-pink capital letters. The imagery mirrors the iconic, classic Japanese bus stop scene and features Satsuki standing in the pouring rain with her red umbrella next to the massive, stoic Totoro. Beneath the main title, the poster features the Czech tagline: “Nejroztomilejší hrdina všech dob poprvé v českých kinech”, which translates to “The cutest hero of all time, in Czech cinemas for the first time”. Presented in excellent condition, colours are deep and unfaded with some truly memorable imagery. This fine example represents a fantastic piece of very collectable and desirable original movie memorabilia that will appeal to Anime and Studio Ghibli fans or those just looking for something very special to hang on their wall.

    Trivia: A Totoro plushie appears as one of the stuffed animals in Toy Story 3 (2010).

    An original 20th anniversary 1997 promotional poster for “Star Wars: The Magic of Myth” designed by Troy Alders. A roadshow exhibition of items and memorabilia from the first three Star Wars movies, held at various museums and galleries from October 1997 through to July 2002. The Lucasfilm Ltd. advertising posters were issued in two distinct designs, that feature images of C-3PO and Darth Vader from the inaugural exhibition held at the Smithsonian Institute (National Air and Space Museum). On offer here is the C-3PO style. Princess Leia, Boba Fett, Yoda, the Death Star and an X-Wing makes for a banner strip at the top and bottom borders. Originally rolled this beautiful looking example displays as new & is investment grade quality. Like everything Lucasfilm endorses for “Star Wars” it features top quality production values & is incredibly collectable.
