Although a relatively recent release any paper for Nicolas Winding Refn’s 2011 violent car-themed actioner “DRIVE” is extremely scarce. His award winning film was complemented with an award winning movie poster created by Empire Design. Although a huge success with audiences and critics alike the movie is considered “art-house” or “independent” and had a very limited cinema release resulting in the scarcity of the poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with minimal handling wear; the colours of the deep blues and blacks are dark and unfaded. An extremely scarce, modern original collectable movie memorabilia from a truly talented director that looks very very cool !
Trivia: In preparation for his role, Ryan Gosling restored the 1973 Chevy Malibu that his character uses in the film.

His award winning film has been complemented by a series of alternative movie posters and in 2022 Mad Duck commissioned leading artist – Laurent Durieux to create his version. Durieux has produced an outstanding addition to the title, truly eye-catching and super stylish as he focuses on the inside of the Chevy Malibu, replacing the gearshift with a bloodied claw hammer (one of the key scenes from the movie). The deep, rich colours are predominantly blues and greys with ‘Ryan Gosling’ & ‘Drive’ printed in contrasting bright pink ink. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with very minimal handling wear. An extremely scarce, selling out in near record time modern art print collectable item of movie memorabilia from a truly talented director that looks very very cool !

Taking audiences by storm at the box-office it was never expected (by the Studio) to be the huge worldwide success it turned out to be with a merchandising and marketing budget not reflected in the success. “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou” is most certainly an unusual film. It’s something of a collage of colorful imagery, fragmented shots, quirky music, strange characters, bizarre situations, and amusing montages. But if you had seen Wes Anderson’s previous films, you would expect nothing less.“The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou” was a cult success on its release with Anderson’s loyal fanbase hailing another solid cinematic offering. Only having a very limited run and showing in a small number of (largely ‘art-house’ or ‘independent’) cinemas any paper from the Film is scarce and in very short supply, making this originally rolled (as issued) one-sheet from 2004 a really great find. Designed by award winning creative arts agency BLT Communications LLC this looks and displays to excellent effect and represents an extremely hard yo find, modern original collectable movie memorabilia from a truly talented writer / director.
Trivia: The red woolen caps worn by the characters are a reference to Jacques-Yves Cousteau, famed underwater film-maker and co-inventor of the modern aqualung.
