“Jack Skellington, king of Halloween Town, discovers Christmas Town, but his attempts to bring Christmas to his home causes confusion.”
Tim Burton seems like the only being on the planet who could come with characters such as the ones found in “The Nightmare Before Christmas” The feature is literally a tale likely to be found in a child’s dreams It creates a world of its own, inhabiting unforgettable characters, events that should be shared with generations This film is a visual masterpiece; a movie that deserves its reputation as a timeless “Burtonesque” classic. This original 1993 British quad poster designed by Nels Israelson perfectly captures all of Burton’s stylish elements – I particularly like the use of the bright orange day glow ink in the title. Outstanding artwork and design for this rather unusual Disney production . This superb rolled (as issued) example looks beautiful and displays to marvellous effect, representing a a fantastic piece of original movie memorabilia for an innovative and popular film maker.
Trivia: Jack’s doorbell is a nod to a similar contraption in the Addams Family original TV series.

A classic case of the poster artwork being significantly more exciting than the film it was attempting to sell to the cinema-going public, this is the UK quad for the release of Terry Marcel’s low-budget sci-fi adventure Prisoners of the Lost Universe. The poster was designed and illustrated by the late, great British artist Tom Chantrell whose dynamic and colourful work featured on hundreds of posters over a forty year period. His official website features a great biography written by Sim Branaghan, author of the must-own book British Film Posters. Chantrell illustrated many classic poster designs, including several Hammer posters such as the brilliant quad for ‘One Million Years B.C.’, and was also responsible for the iconic Star Wars quad. Very rare and hard to find this originally rolled (as issued) example from 1983 displays very well with minimal age and handling wear. It looks fantastic and presents very well and represents a fantastic piece of very collectable Tom Chantrell poster artwork and a fine piece of original film memorabilia.

One of the most fun of all the famous (and infamous) Hammer productions and that’s not just because of the scantily clad prehistoric cave girls (with many on display here) but also a bright day-glo pink poster by Tom Chantrell for the 1967 release of Michael Carreras’ “Slave Girls”. Chantrell’s poster for the British marketing campaign was accompanied by an impressive front of house lobby card set of eight. The complete set (of eight cards) as offered here, contains some memorable imagery, in particular a great, shot of Martine Beswick, perfectly cast as the evil Queen Kari as she lounges on a bed animal skins. Extremely scarce as a complete set, these country of origin examples from first year of release 1967 are presented in totally original and unrestored, high grade condition. A Hammer movie that is a real personal favourite with me, with paper from it incredibly collectable.
Trivia: Shot in only four weeks using sets and costumes from One Million Years B.C. (1966), in order to offset the earlier film’s cost of £140,000 pounds.

“The 7th continent – A lost world shut off by a wall of ice, roamed by beasts unknown to science, ruled by men lost to history, doomed to vanish in a chaos of leaping flames !”
A real boy’s own adventure of a poster…showcasing some incredible fantasy artwork for Kevin Connor’s “The People That Time Forgot” movie poster – sabre-tooth tigers, primitive axe-wielding savages, erupting volcanoes, battling heroes & of course the compulsory scantily clad savage cave-woman. A stunning and memorable original 1977 US one sheet movie poster for Edgar Rice Burroughs’ direct sequel to the successful “The Land That Time Forgot”. Originally folded (as issued) this totally unrestored example has stood the test of time very well and displays to excellent effect and represents a fantastic piece of rare original film memorabilia from a much loved series of fantasy adventure films.

“Heroes. Giants. Villains. Wizards. True Love. – Not just your basic, average, everyday, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, ho-hum fairy tale.”
A very COOL poster for a much loved action adventure fantasy romance. This original “The Princess Bride” movie poster has it all; amazing artwork by Steve Crisp for Hat ART Design, great detail & super colours. It is also very rare and one of the scarcest movie posters from the 80’s to find. The original UK quad movie poster offered here is from first year of release, 1987 and displays to excellent effect. Originally rolled (as issued) it is presented in beautiful unrestored condition with only a single horizontal fold line of note. A genuinely rare fantasy classic cinema poster that represents extremely desirable and collectable movie memorabilia, especially if you are a fan of Heroes, Giants, Wizards & True Love (& let’s face it who isn’t).
Trivia: According to author William Goldman, when he was first trying to get the movie made in the 1970s, a then-unknown Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted to play Fezzik, and he was strongly being considered because Goldman could never get his first choice, André the Giant, to read for the role. By the time the movie was made about twelve years later, Schwarzenegger was such a big star they could not afford him. Andre was cast after all, and the two big men had gone on to become friends.

“A Fairy Tale for Troubled Times”
One of the best looking ‘modern’ film posters produced in a long time…Award winning British UK quad film poster for Guillermo Del Toro’s multi award winning (& nominated) dark sci-fi fantasy movie “The Shape of Water”. With beautiful painted artwork by design agency ‘Midnight Oil’ this design is perfectly suited to the landscape format of the British quad. A whole range of green and blue colour tones is used with the background incredibly detailed and made up the ‘Creature’s’ scales; this is very subtle and only evident on close inspection. This originally rolled (as issued) example displays and presents to excellent effect with stunning graphics and represents a truly impressive piece of collectable original film movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The creature design is heavily inspired by the film Creature from the Black Lagoon(1954). Michael Shannon’s character says they picked it up in the Amazon river in South America, which is the setting of The Creature from the film.

“There’s One In All Of Us”
One of my favourite advertising campaigns of 2009 was the series of posters that accompanied Spike Jonze’s adaption of Maurice Sendak’s Children’s fantasy story “Where The Wild Things Are”. With artwork & design by Mojo this original UK quad film poster is the Advance “Coming Soon” Teaser style. Originally rolled this displays superbly with truly stunning ‘monster’ imagery.
Trivia: The creatures are being portrayed by actors in six- to eight-foot tall costumes with some additional animatronics and computer-generated faces. The costumes were created by The Jim Henson Company, who is responsible for the Muppets and the creatures from Labyrinth (1986) and The Dark Crystal.
