“Bolt Your Doors. Lock Your Windows. There’s something in The Fog !”
After the huge success of Halloween John Carpenter quickly followed up with the equally creepy horror The Fog. Taking creepy imagery from the movie the US one-sheet features silhouetted zombie pirates in a ‘fog’ filed room. The original movie poster offered here is from first year of release, 1980 and displays to excellent effect. Originally folded (as issued) it is presented in unrestored condition with only minimal handling wear. Great horror imagery on a genuinely rare cult classic from the Carpenter archives that represents extremely desirable and collectable movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Although this was essentially a low budget independent movie, John Carpenter chose to shoot the movie in anamorphic widescreen Panavision. This decision gave the movie a grander feel for the viewer so this didn’t seem like a low budget horror movie.

A critical and commercial success and perhaps the best British movie (gangster or otherwise) ever made…John MacKenzie’s “The Long Good Friday”. Receiving a very limited release in UK cinemas (it was nearly never released due to financial problems & only saved as a cinematic production by George Harrison, with his Handmade Films stepping in at the 11th hour) meant that any paper is scarce, making this original 1980 UK quad film poster a rare find especially in such high grade condition. Featuring stark black & white country unique design & artwork this excellent unrestored example presents near perfectly. Folded (as issued) it represents an exceptional piece of collectible original film memorabilia from a true British gangster classic…“The Mafia? I’ve shit ’em”
An original country of origin UK quad film poster from the original year of release 1979 for J. Lee Thompson’s brutal World War II thriller “The Passage”. The movie has an all-star cast; James Mason, Anthony Quinn, Malcolm McDowell who are featured through binocular lens’ on what is a very cleverly designed poster with the distinctive cap of a Nazi SS officer blended into the outline of the Pyrenees mountain range offset against a bright red background. Originally folded (as issued) it displays and presents to excellent effect. A hard poster to find, they are available but scarce in such high grade unrestored condition; the deep red background and colours are vivid, bright & unfaded and the design eye-catching and memorable. A desirable and collectable film poster that represents a fine example of original movie memorabilia.

“Judge, Jury, and Executioner is what The Punisher is.”
“The Punisher” may be one of the darkest comic book characters ever created. This film and especially Thomas Jane, get that which makes this film is one of the better in the genre, because it sticks to the source better than most. By 2004 the cinema had already seen an influx of ‘big-budget’ super hero movies; X-Men, Spiderman, Hulk as well as a re-imagined Batman so a ‘new’ Punisher was a safe bet as the character of Frank Castle still one of the most popular creations and a corner stone of the ‘Marvel Universe’. Designed by creative arts agency Intralink Film Graphic Design this original 2004 UK quad film poster is typical of the character, dark & moody. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks and displays to excellent effect with impressive artwork highlighting both The Punisher (Thomas Jane) & his protagonist Howard Saint (John Travolta). It represents a fine piece of collectible ‘comic book’ cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Seeing as he had only one involvement with the creation of the original Punisher character; (changing the character from ‘The Assassin’ to ‘The Punisher’) this is one of the few movies based on a Marvel Comic in which Stan Lee does not appear.

An all-action bombastic thriller as only Michael Bay can deliver – “The Rock”. His 1996 Alcatraz set movie saw Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris square up to stop a missile strike on San Francisco, and it is all of these stars featured on this US one-sheet movie poster designed by Dan Chapman. Offered in original rolled (as issued) condition, this fine example presents to excellent effect with minimal of handling wear and represents a cool and eye-catching piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: In the scene in the interrogation room where FBI agent Stanley Goodspeed introduces himself to John Mason (Sir Sean Connery), John replies “But of course you are”. This was exactly the same line he used when he met Plenty O’Toole in the casino scene in the Bond movie Diamonds Are Forever (1971).

John Carpenter’s tale of alien occupation is part horror, part Sci-Fi and part social satire, all viewed through dark sunglasses of Roddy Piper . This original They Live movie poster is probably the scarcest of all the John Carpenter paper from the series of four (Escape From New York, Prince of Darkness, The Fog & They Live) 2018 remastered re-releases and a very rare find in such excellent condition as offered here…The original 2018 Japanese B2 film poster for John Carpenter’s They Live was originally rolled (as issued) & presents in exceptional original unrestored condition with great detailed artwork (unique to the Japanese re-release, as the other posters produced for these releases all feature new re-imaging artwork by Matt Ferguson) & strong vibrant colours. A neon infused delight of a film poster designed by creative arts agency LA and the perfect complement for Taika Waititi’s 2017 all-action comedic super-hero romp “THOR: Ragnarok”. Thor is one of the key, corner stone characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and takes centre stage on this stunning multi-coloured UK quad film poster surrounded by the more than able supporting cast; Hulk, Loki and villainess Hela. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks stunning and displays to excellent and memorable effect with incredible colour tones (have I mentioned the colours before ?) One of the best looking posters to date for any of the Marvel Studios’ releases with fantastic super hero artwork that represents a fine piece of collectible modern cinema movie memorabilia. Fantastic to display as is, but if you own a lightbox this is a poster you want to put in it – super stunning when backlit.
Trivia: Thor’s “friend from work” line about The Incredible Hulk was suggested to Chris Hemsworth by a Make-A-Wish child who paid a visit to the set on the day the scene was filmed.
