Probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. It also happens to be one of the best and most memorable movie poster images ever ! Designed by The Seiniger Advertising Agency with finished artwork by Roger Kastel the poster has attained cult status. Once you’ve seen the film (& who hasn’t) you see the poster and you just can’t get John Williams’ distinctive soundtrack out of your head. This original UK quad for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 masterpiece “Jaws” is for the 50th Anniversary re-release in 2025. Yes it really has been 50 years with this release having a special introduction by Spielberg himself. Although retaining the original artwork, the title has been adapted with 50th Anniversary added with a shark’s fin cleverly styled into the ’50’. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect. Perfect, deep rich colours this is a truly outstanding and extremely rare original film poster that is only available for this very limited cinematic release with the UK quad being the only landcscape format printed. It presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a key item of highly sought after, collectable original movie memorabilia…“You’re gonna need a bigger boat !”
Trivia: Several decades after the film’s release, Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner, walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed that the menu had an “Alex Kintner Sandwich.” She commented that she had played his mother so many years ago; the owner of the restaurant ran out to meet her, and he was none other than Jeffrey Voorhees, who had played her son. They had not seen each other since the original movie shoot.

“BEING TERRIFIED IS JUST THE BEGINNING!”…The master of “intelligent horror”; David Cronenberg’s feature debut was in 1975 with the apt titled “SHIVERS”. This original UK quad film poster is from that first year of release. A bold, simple poster design making great use of of some fantastic horror art. Folded (as issued) this example presents very well with some very minor issues, as colours are rich and unfaded with the green dayglo of the title stand out in eye popping fashion. More often than not a poster that turns up in a double bill feature but here it comes in its original single release format, making it very rare and highly desirable.

Dig out those flares (anything under 15″ are not acceptable) & platform shoes…Not just responsible for one of the greatest Christmas songs ever but in 1975 Glam Rock band Slade starred in their own imaginatively titled big screen movie…SLADE IN FLAME ! Described as ‘the Citizen Kane of British pop movies’ by critic Mark Kermode, Slade in Flame both confounded and delighted audiences when it was released in 1975, at the height of the legendary glam-rock band’s success, starring the band themselves, this was a music film like no other. Charting the rise and fall of a pop group at the end of the 1960s, this darkly cynical, warts-and-all portrait of a band in freefall amidst the music-industry suits who want a piece of the pie was not what anybody was expecting. And now for the 50th Anniversary, Slade in Flame has been newly remastered by the BFI from the best available 35mm materials and re-released for a very limited cinematic outing. This original 2025 UK quad film poster to accompany the release is presented in excellent original rolled (as issued) condition that displays beautifully; the black background enhances the image of the group, who appear (due to some clever lighting) translucent, giving an almost 3D effect. The extremely limited release means these posters are very scarce and represent a fantastic piece of highly collectable and desirable original movie and music memorabilia.

Originally rolled (as issued) this superb example presents and displays to excellent effect & represents a really fine and affordable item of original film movie memorabilia.

Of the four poster designs created for the 1975 release of Ken Russell’s “Tommy” in Japan this style B is by far the rarest and visually the best. Featuring country unique Japanese artwork the “Christ like” imagery of Tommy (Roger Daltrey) his head adorned with a crown of poppies and bleeding torso pinned by poppies is a memorable sight. Complemented by border artwork of the all-star cast (The Who, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton, Jack Nicholson, Oliver Reed to name just a few.) stands out as a great looking poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this rare example presents very well and as it features some of the greatest names ever in both rock music and the cinema represents a fantastic piece of highly desirable, collectable entertainment memorabilia.
