One of the best films of the 1980’s and certainly one of Schwarzenegger’s finest roles, “Predator“ is a film I’ve seen more times than I care to remember. Directed by John McTiernan, who would go on to helm “Die Hard” the following year (arguably the greatest action movie ever made), the film is an excellent mix of gung-ho action and sci-fi horror with a truly iconic monster (designed by Stan Winston). The rare alternative movie poster offered here is from the 2025 release and was created as a private commission piece by the talented Thai artist, Wiwat. With a very limited print run of only 40 this has been hand-numbered #32. Showcasing a unique and visually striking design and produced using the screen print technique, the imagery captures the essence of the Predator in a bold and dynamic style. Trivia: The Predator costume weighed over two hundred pounds, and even though 7’2″ Kevin Peter Hall was a large and powerful man, he had to be connected to a “bungie” rig, to enable him to move more believably.

The success of “Predator” when released in 1987 meant a sequel was always inevitable, however the action hero of the first movie wasn’t available – move over Arnie and welcome Danny Glover. Not only was there a new direction for the hero but the jungles of South America were swapped for a crime ridden Los Angeles. A clever follow up in many ways as it really does continue where the first movie finished as the Government, now fully aware of an other worldly being try to turn the tables and trap a predator – bad move. This 2021 Private Commission by Juan Carlos Ruiz Burgos features spectacular artwork, and is actually the first time a licensed print for “Predator 2” has been issued, and frankly it would be a hard to find a better one as Burgos really has created something special. Titled ‘The Concrete Jungle‘ it is printed on Cougar White paper using fifteen (15) coloured inks which includes a glitter varnish used to mimic the wet skin of the Predator and a bright luminous green glow in the dark ink for the title. Hand-numbered #45 from a print run 110 this beautiful example displays and presents to excellent effect and represents an incredible looking piece of modern cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: Keyes (Gary Busey) is the first character to ever use the word “predator” to refer to the creature on-screen when he says “we’ve prepared a trap for this predator”. The word “predators” is also used by Isabelle in Predators (2010), but she uses it to refer to the human characters in the film, not the Predator creatures. It wasn’t until The Predator (2018) that the creature itself is referred to as ‘predator’ again, with someone adding that the term ‘hunter’ would be more appropriate.

There is no doubting the influence and impact of Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 masterpiece “Pulp Fiction” and like so many of the Tarantino films the paper from each has become hugely collectable. The impressive alternative movie poster offered here is no exception. This eye-catching, colourful design featuring one of the coolest cinema pairings in recent memory – Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) and Vincent Vega (John Travolta) is by Dave Merrell was issued as a Bottleneck Gallery exclusive in 2023 in support of Brooklyn Animal. Originally rolled (as issued) this super rare example is an Private Proof (PP #15/15) presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a hugely collectable item of movie memorabilia from a truly iconic movie…“I’m sorry, did I break your concentration? I didn’t mean to do that. Please, continue, you were saying something about best intentions. What’s the matter? Oh, you were finished! Well, allow me to retort. What does Marsellus Wallace look like?”
Trivia: Uma Thurman originally turned down the role of Mia Wallace. Quentin Tarantino was so desperate to have her as Mia, he ended up reading her the script over the phone, finally convincing her to take on the role.
Being on almost constant release since it premiered in 1981 “Raiders of the Lost Ark” received an updated movie poster for the ‘official’ re-release in 1982. Artistic duties were again assigned to Richard Amsel who produced a more exciting, action packed offering. The overall ancient/papyrus styling remained but now Indiana Jones is featured in trademark bull-whip cracking pose offset against the Ark of the Covenant with the strong supporting cast beautifully rendered around the borders. A better image than the original ? Not really just slightly different and a perfect addition to the canon. This rare classic adventure poster from the ultimate adventure movie presents extremely well and is offered in beautiful rolled, unfolded (as issued) unrestored original condition. A truly fine piece of original country of origin movie memorabilia for a character and franchise that has proved to be one of the best loved and highly successful franchises in film history.
Trivia: Freeze-framing during the Well of Souls scene, you can notice a golden pillar with a tiny engraving of R2-D2 and C-3PO from the Star Wars saga. They are also on the wall behind Indy when they first approach the Ark.

Based upon Rob Bottin’s iconic ‘robo’ suit design Paul Mann produced the perfect alternative movie poster to complement his graphics. A truly striking image for Paul Verhoeven’s ultra violent sci-fi masterpiece “Robocop” that is perfectly suited to the portrait format of this edition. Robocop is offset against a colourful background of supporting characters and action imagery, that are made to stand out when placed in front of the black background. It gives a depth that gives an almost 3D effect to the colour imagery. Printed by Mad Duck in 2022 this limited edition art print is hand-numbered #47 from a print run of 200. Artist Saniose has produced the perfect alternative movie poster for Paul Verhoeven’s ultra violent sci-fi masterpiece “Robocop” Titled the Battle Damage edition Robocop is offset against a colourful background of action packed imagery and supporting characters, including the iconic ED 209. While Vader’s chest plate is uncovered in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983), his costume initially had his Sith robes draped over his shield, as well as red lenses in the eye holes of the mask. Considering this film takes place mere days before the original film, the costume designers recreated Vader’s look down to the last detail.

The influence of John Badham’s “Saturday Night Fever” cannot be understated. A cultural phenomenon that pretty much affected everyone at some point…music, dancing, fashion, attitudes & John Travolta; perfectly cast as the local walking cliche Tony Manero. And it’s John Travolta who dominates this beautiful, complete set of all eight (8) US lobby cards from first year of release, 1977 as he is featured in all of the cards highlighting key scenes (he wears the famous white suit in three) from the movie. A rare find as a complete set, as most were broken up and the cards sold individually. Totally original and unrestored, the cards are presented in high grade excellent flat, unfolded (as issued) condition that display and present to excellent effect. A genuinely scarce and hard to find example of Academy Award winning film cinema memorabilia that represents a fine piece of important and influential cinema movie memorabilia.“Catch it!”
Trivia: John Travolta used two suits in the climax of the film; he had to switch suits between takes because one would become heavily soaked with sweat and had to be dried while he was wearing the other one for subsequent takes.

Jonathan Demme’s “The Silence of the Lambs” is one of the best horror thriller movies ever made; excellent Award winning performances, full of dark humour and gory thrills. For this 2023 Mad Duck release, artist Paul Mann has produced a scene based alternative movie poster. The scene featured is a pivotal scene as Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) meets with Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal Lecter) for the first time and it’s the only scene in the movie in which both actors actually appear in the same frame. Screen print finish with varnish over the glass, this hand-numbered example #180/250 is presented in excellent rolled (as issued) condition that display superbly and represents a fine item of movie poster memorabilia.
Trivia: When Sir Anthony Hopkins found out that he was cast as Dr. Hannibal Lecter, based on his performance as Dr. Frederick Treves in The Elephant Man (1980), he questioned director Jonathan Demme, and said “But Dr. Treves was a good man”, to which Demme replied “So is Lecter, he is a good man too. Just trapped in an insane mind.”

“Heads Will Roll”
A true ‘Burtonesque’ classic. Tim Burton seems like the only film maker on the planet who could come up with characters such as the ones found in “Sleepy Hollow.” With a host of regular Burton collaborators and some familiar new faces (if you are a fan of classic horror you’ll be delighted) his stylish adaptation is based on the story by Washington Irving called “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, where he captures the slumbering, creepy village of Sleepy Hollow with vivid details and imaginative description. The way everything is presented, the trees look like something out of a fairy tale and the scenery represents deception in a mysterious wonderland, and makes this production a captivating and magical film experiences which is beautifully represented in this US one-sheet designed by BLT and Associates from first year of release, 1999. Presented rolled (as issued) it displays to excellent effect and represents a fantastic piece of original movie memorabilia for an innovative and popular film maker.
Trivia: Director Tim Burton says the film was inspired by the Gothic horror films of Mario Bava and Hammer Film Productions. Burton brought Hammer veteran Michael Gough out of retirement for a small role, and recruited Sir Christopher Lee, a veteran of both Hammer and Bava’s films, for a cameo.
