A beautiful, colourful masterpiece of a poster for Walt Disney’s beloved animated fairytale classic “Cinderella”. Originally premiered in 1950 this superb Japanese B2 is from the 1982 re-release in Japan and focuses on the famous scene as Cinderella meets her true love, the Prince (although often referred to as Prince Charming, he is only ever called the Prince in the movie). As you would expect from a Disney offering artwork is of the highest quality and colours truly bright and vibrant. Marvellous border art of the supporting characters with the fairytale castle acting as a romantic backdrop with the dance floor transformed to a clock face about to strike midnight all offset by a night sky full of bright, shooting stars. Originally rolled (as issued) and unrestored this beautiful example presents very well and displays to excellent effect with colourful imagery exclusively created for this Japanese re-release. A fine example of rare and collectable original movie memorabilia for a much loved Disney classic.
Trivia: The clothing of Cinderella in the film has attracted the attention of some fashion and art historians. The dress that the stepsister tears apart is thought to be inspired by the designs of Salvador Dalí and the magical gown is in the then contemporary style of Christian Dior.

“In The Year 2000 Hit And Run Driving Is No Longer A Felony. It’s The National Sport!”
“Death Race 2000” parodies so many things it’s hard to know where to begin. America-centrism (the government blame the French for everything), professional sports, pro wrestling (the drivers are badly acted “theme” types), Big Brother, and just about everything else you could name. At the same time it panders to the blood lust of the audience with camp cartoon violence. David Carradine as ‘Frankenstein’ in full on anti-hero mode gives a solid performance and Sylvester Stallone is hilarious as a driver with the mannerisms of a 30’s gangster, practicing on his accent for the Rocky movies. The artwork to promote the movie in the UK was the work of Tom William Chantrell’s artwork, and (in my honest opinion) one of his best. A true personal favourite with striking futuristic imagery, that was exclusively used for the British cinematic release. This beautiful, first year of release, 1975 UK quad film poster for Roger Corman’s cult offering is offered rolled (as issued) with vibrant, strong colours set against a bright white background and minimal handling wear. In this high grade condition it represents an extremely desirable and rare movie poster from a genre and decade that is fast becoming increasingly sought after. A very COOL poster from the 1970s.
Trivia: Explaining why he took the role of Frankenstein in this film, David Carradine said “I started that picture two weeks after I walked off the Kung Fu (1972) set, and that was essentially my image, the “Kung Fu” character, and a lot of people still believe I’m that guy. The idea actually was: No. 1, if you walk off a television series, you better do a movie right away or you might never get to do one. And the second thing was to do something right away that would create the image of a monster to get rid of the image of that little Chinese guy that I’d been playing for four years. And, you know, it did kick-start my movie career.”

As you would expect from a Disney offering artwork is of the highest quality and colours truly bright and vibrant featuring ‘Dumbo’ in full flight with marvellous border art of the supporting characters; Mrs Jumbo, the Crows, Timothy Q Mouse and the WDP Bigtop Circus (WDP actually stands for Walt Disney Productions. Originallyrolled (as issued) and unrestored this beautiful example presents very well and displays to excellent effect with colourful imagery exclusively created for the Japanese re-release. A fine example of rare and collectable original movie memorabilia for a much loved Disney classic.
Trivia: A very tightly budgeted, scripted and produced film, because Walt Disney needed it to bring in much-needed revenue after the expensive failures of Pinocchio (1940) and Fantasia (1940). Final negative cost of Dumbo was $813,000 (making it the least expensive of all Disney’s animated features), and it grossed over $2.5 million in its original release (more than the original grosses of “Pinocchio” and “Fantasia” combined).

Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas” is an iconic motion picture and a giant of the gangster genre that will stand the test of time for years and years to come. Designed by Territory Studios advertising agency the movie poster imagery that accompanied the 2016 BFI release was equally as memorable. The imagery of the three stars (De Niro, Pesci & Liotta) accompanied by one of their key scenes makes for a stylish design with the red filter particularly effective. The BFI are renowned for producing excellent and ‘fresh’ poster designs for their limited run releases and this is considered one of the best. As with all BFI screenings they are very limited (sometimes only a single showing) with an incredibly small print run. making the posters very hard to come by. This originally rolled (as issued) example displays & presents to fine effect. Hugely desirable and a must have title for the serious poster collector or Goodfellas fan it represents a premium piece of quality collectable movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The “How am I funny?” scene is based on something that actually happened to Joe Pesci. While working in a restaurant, a young Pesci apparently told a mobster that he was funny, a compliment that was met with a less-than-enthusiastic response. Pesci relayed the anecdote to Martin Scorsese, who decided to include it in the film. Scorsese didn’t include the scene in the shooting script, so that Pesci and Ray Liotta‘s interactions would elicit genuinely surprised reactions from the supporting cast.

A striking image of David Bowie for the 1983 film “Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence” features a distinctive painting of David Bowie wearing a khaki army uniform, hat and scarf, standing with his arms behind his back with a black and white Japanese samurai sword lodged in the ground between his feet. This original first year of release (1983) British door panel poster is a truly great find. With the added bonus of being rolled this presents very well with great Bowie imagery and really does justice to the iconic actor/musician. Incredibly scarce in this narrow format standing over five feet tall and with a very low print run this really is an exciting music/movie collectable from one of the most influential icons of modern pop culture…David Bowie.
Trivia: The distinctive music score and soundtrack in this film is notable. It was composed by Ryûichi Sakamoto and it is considered to be the breakthrough movie to which he and his music became well-known around the world.

A complete set of all eight (8) US lobby cards presented in totally original unrestored condition. An absolutely fantastic collection of images from 1983, in what was to become a memorable screen role for David Bowie as Jack Celliers in Nagisa Ôshima’s “Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence”. The imagery chosen for the eight cards perfectly capture the whole feel of the movie with Bowie featured on six leaving Tom Conti, as the titular Mr. Lawrence and a prisoner of war riot to complete the set. Incredibly hard to source as a complete and in this high grade condition, as most sets were split as music fans focussed on the six cards highlighting Bowie. These, unfolded, flat (as issued) examples present and display to excellent effect and represent a really exciting music/movie collectable from one of the most influential icons of modern pop culture…David Bowie.
Trivia: David Bowie was cast in the role of Major Jack Celliers after director Nagisa Ôshima saw a performance of his on the stage in a Broadway production of ‘The Elephant Man’.

Originally rolled (as issued) and unrestored this beautiful example presents very well and displays to excellent effect with colourful imagery exclusively created for this Japanese re-release. A fine example of rare and collectable original movie memorabilia for a much loved Disney classic.
Trivia: JRR Tolkien (The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings fame) was a huge Peter Pan fan. Neverland and the Lost Boys had a definite impact on Middle-earth; Peter Pan himself particularly influenced the elves.

One of the most collected titles from the western genre, John Sturges’ star-studded blockbuster “The Magnificent Seven”. A must watch with an impressive number of film posters to match including the first year of release, 1960 Japanese B2 offered here A truly great design that emphasises the “7” with a series of all-action colour illustrations contained within its outline, off set against a beautiful light gold background. A simple yet very effective designed film poster with artwork that is unique to the Japanese release. The example offered here is presented in excellent unrestored, folded (as issued) condition. It displays beautifully. This rarely tuns up in such high grade condition and represents a fine piece of very rare original and collectable movie memorabilia for one of the big screen’s greatest & most loved films.
Trivia: Steve McQueen desperately wanted to act in this film but couldn’t at first because the schedule of his TV series, Wanted: Dead or Alive (1958), wouldn’t allow it. He crashed a car and while he was “out sick”, recovering from the accident he shot this film.
