A personal favourite and quite simply a beautiful film poster for the 40th Anniversary remastered & restored release of Francis Ford Coppola’s multi award winning Vietnam war epic “Apocalypse Now”. There is no doubting the influence and impact of Coppola’s masterpiece with any paper hugely desirable and the 2019 Laurent Durieux designed UK quad film poster offered here is no exception. The imagery truly captures the cloying atmosphere and dark tone of the movie with a close up shot of army assassin Benjamin Willard (Martin Sheen) emerging from the river with his target Colonel Kurtz (Marlon Brando) a reflected mirror image. The red and green colour palette only enhances the whole look; absolutely stunning poster (the photo just doesn’t do this poster justice, it needs to be seen to be appreciated) with truly memorable imagery for Coppola’s voyage into the ‘Heart of Darkness’. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect with only minimal handling wear that represents an incredible piece of original movie memorabilia from one of the finest film’s ever made…“Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that”
Trivia: While in pre-production, Francis Ford Coppola consulted his friend and mentor Roger Corman for advice about shooting in the Phillipines. Corman’s advice: “Don’t go.” Shooting, originally scheduled for six weeks, took 16 months.

The highest grossing movie of all-time taking a record breaking billion dollars in its opening weekend. Which was the perfect inspiration for Creative design agency LA pulling out all the stops when they issued the official theatrical posters for the Marvel Studios’ blockbuster “Avengers: Engame”. This original 2019 UK quad film poster for Marvel’s all action super hero romp is certainly impressive as all the heroes are beautifully realised; Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Captain Marvel, Rocket stand proud and battle ready in the sweeping landscape format of the British quad. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks stunning and displays and presents to excellent effect. One of the best looking posters to date for any of the prolific Marvel Studios releases with spectacular detailed imagery and bright colours. A hugely important and collectable piece of movie memorabilia from the Studio that goes from strength to strength.
Trivia: The final showdown between Thanos, Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man was inspired by the end of Sergio Leone’s Once Upon a Time in the West.

“See The Ghost With The Most”
An original 1988 UK Quad movie poster from the bizarre Tim Burton dark horror comedy “Beetlejuice”. Designed by B.D.Fox Independent with Carl Ramsey finished artwork this is a really great looking film poster; incredible lifelike imagery with the green titles and cast credits finished with a luminous ink – it really is effective, adding a spooky vibe to the design. “Beetlejuice” is a wacky, twisted and wild, typical Tim Burton comedy in which recently deceased young couple Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara (Geena Davis) seek help from crazed spirit Betelgeuse – a.k.a. Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) – when they are unable to put up with the family that’s newly moved into their house. Presented in original ROLLED (as issued) high grade condition with colours that pop from the paper this super clean example represents a fantastic piece of cinema memorabilia for one of the best loved movies from the 1980s.
Trivia: The skeleton head on top of Betelgeuse’s Merry-Go-Round is one of the first appearances of Jack Skellington, a skeleton figure which Tim Burton had been drawing since 1982, and would ultimately be used as the main character of The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), which Burton co-wrote and produced.

Acclaimed film maker Alejandro G. Iñárritu not only directed, co-wrote and produced the multi award winning 2014 movie “BiRDMAN” but he also took the photograph that Mark W. Carroll incorporated into the poster design used in the marketing campaign. It’s a clever, striking black and white piece featuring Michael Keaton appearing to ‘fly’ whilst in the far background his character “BiRDMAN” looks on as do most of the excellent supporting cast as their images appear on the ‘off-Broadway’ bill boards. This is a rare example of the 2014 International one-sheet movie poster. Guaranteed original, it is presented in rolled (as issued) condition and represents a desirable and collectable original film movie memorabilia for one of Hollywood’s best regarded and talented directors; Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
Trivia: The Birdman suit that Michael Keaton wears was made on a mannequin of his own body from Batman (1989).

“There is nothing in the dark that isn’t there in the light. Except fear”
An original 1991 US/International one-sheet film poster for Martin Scorsese’s suspenseful horror, thriller “Cape Fear”. Designed by Tom Martin and John Alvin, this is an incredible looking poster – the menace in De Niro’s stare is truly unsettling. Offered rolled (as issued) it presents to excellent effect with amazing dark colour tones, enhanced with blue touches giving not just the effect of water but also a lightening strike (so integral to the film’s finale). The water effect is further highlighted by the wave effect in the lower half of the poster – this is part of the printing with the poster itself presenting perfectly flat. An impressive and desirable film poster that represents a fantastic piece of modern horror cinematic memorabilia appealing to movie poster collectors and fans of Scorsese and De Niro.
Trivia: Gregory Peck, who starred in Cape Fear (1962), appears as Cady’s lawyer. Robert Mitchum played Max Cady in the 1962 version, and appears as Lieutenant Elgart. Martin Balsam played Mark Dutton in the 1962 version, and the judge in this version.

“They somehow managed to get every creep and freak in the universe onto this one plane. And then somehow managed to let them take it over. And then somehow managed to stick us right smack in the middle.”
An all-action bombastic thriller as only the 1990s can deliver as Nicolas Cage heads up the Jerry Bruckheimer blockbuster “Con Air”. This, Face/Off (1997) and The Rock (1996) are considered by many Nicolas Cage fans to be his “holy trinity” of action films. Cameron Poe (Cage), has just been paroled for manslaughter, but must stop a group of violent and deadly criminals from escaping the country after they seize control of the prison transport plane he is on – get the popcorn ready and just enjoy. Cage is aided by FBI agent Vince Larkin (John Cusack) as they tackle the nemesis that is the delightfully named ‘Cyrus the Virus’ (played with real dark comedic menace by John Malkovich) and it is these three that feature on this original 1997 British quad. I personally think the character imagery is much better suited to this landscape format rather than the portrait style of a one-sheet. Offered in rolled (as issued) condition, this fine example presents to excellent effect with minimal of handling wear and represents a cool and eye-catching piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Jerry Bruckheimer and the other producers of this movie wanted to cast Nicolas Cage as Cameron Poe, from early on, and his dream became a reality because they were working on another movie together, The Rock (1996). During filming of the 1996 Michael Bay movie, Bruckheimer walked over to Cage’s trailer and handed him the “Con Air” script. Two days later, Cage called him and said the script was great and that he wanted to make the movie.

An original 1990 US one-sheet movie poster for Sam Raimi’s comic book inspired ant-hero “Darkman”. Raimi’s cult classic creation is one of those movies that has aged better with time than on its first release with a loyal and devoted fanbase. Lead actor, Liam Neeson (in his first starring role) plays the titular hero with real style and features prominently (albeit swathed in bandages) on the John Alvin designed US one-sheet offered here as he’s seen almost as a silhouette set against an explosive city backdrop. Totally unrestored, this rolled (as issued) example displays & presents to very good effect. A great looking piece of horror, comic book style artwork that represents a scarce piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.

1980’s movie posters don’t really come any better looking than Barry Jackson’s decapitated Statue of Liberty artwork for John Carpenter’s quintessential sci-fi actioner “Escape From New York”. This impressive, country of origin film poster from is stunning and presented in beautiful rolled (as issued) condition. A magnificent unrestored, original example of a truly iconic poster that represents a fine piece of cinematic movie memorabilia, from one of the modern masters of genre film making.

“No Accidents. No Coincidences. No Escapes. You Can’t Cheat Death.”…New Wave Creative produced an excellent poster for James Wong’s 2000 horror hit “Final Destination”. This rolled original UK Quad movie poster displays very well with a great creepy cast image perfectly fitting in with the feel of the movie.
