“Titanic” plays almost like a historical biography and is like a work of art, a true epic. Like most history novels, we know the ending, but it doesn’t take away from the wonderful treats that can be found in this picture. Certain aspects of this film were Academy Award material including costuming, sound, cintematography, and editing and it’s one of these iconic cinematic scenes – Rose (Winslet) & Jack (DiCaprio) ‘flying’ at the bow of the Titanic that features in this original one-sheet created for the 25th Anniversary release in 2023 when it screened in a limited number of cinemas for Valentine’s weekend only. Designed by Gravillis, this style is particularly scarce. Investment grade quality for an example that was originally rolled and displays superbly, thanks not only to the imagery but the hi-gloss finish – it really is an impressive film poster that represents a great piece of cinematic movie memorabilia from the movie that was the first gross over a billion dollars at the box-office.
Trivia: The scenes set in 1912, i.e. the whole movie except the present-day scenes and the opening and ending credits, have a total length of two hours and forty minutes, the exact time it took for Titanic to sink. Also, the collision with the iceberg reportedly lasted 37 seconds, which is how long the collision scene is in the movie.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s and Paul Verhoeven’s 1990 sci-fi ultra-violent actioner “Total Recall” produced one of the most distinctive film posters of Schwarzenegger’s impressive career. Designed by the Seiniger Advertising agency it features a bright blue close up of Arnold’s face, offset against an outer space filled background and the mysterious ‘Pyramids of Mars’. A clever adaption of the Philip K. Dick short story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale” and one of the cinematic high points for both Schwarzenegger and Verhoeven with physical special effects that have stood the test of time well. It’s a tough poster to find in high grade condition as any blemishes show up easily (especially on folded examples) because of the dark colours used. That is not the case here as this originally rolled (as issued) example displays to excellent effect and represents a truly outstanding and scarce item of highly sought after movie memorabilia.
Trivia: When Ronald Shusett and Dan O’Bannon first started working on the screenplay for this movie back in the 1970s, they realized that the movie would probably be too expensive and difficult to make (by the standards of special effects and budget at the time). They delayed working on the story and instead worked on an idea O’Bannon had about a space monster terrorizing a spaceship crew. This became Alien (1979).

In 2006 design house Concept Arts produced five outstanding campaign posters for Alan Moore’s alternate timeline thriller “V for Vendetta” which features a fascist Great Britain under a totalitarian government regime. With each version hugely collectable in their own right this very rare original ‘Flames Style’ Advance Teaser “Coming Soon” one sheet is a great example of modern design and graphics; strong colours, complemented by stark, bold imagery…Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect and represents a fine piece of very desirable original ‘modern’ movie memorabilia…“People should not be afraid of their governments…Governments should be afraid of their people”

John Huston’s “Victory” (Escape To Victory) has probably seen so much critical scorn it’s mind boggling. Is this movie Oscar material? Certainly not, but it’s a great film in many ways. It would be fair to say that this is most probably, the first real Football movie of its time. With stars like Michael Caine and Sylvester Stallone on board, along with an array of football stars including the one and only Pele (featured, in all their glory by the artist, Jarvis) and a true gentleman of the sport – Bobby Moore, it is truly a classic. Some people say that the story is old hat, but I disagree. Even without the football it is a very solid War film. You don’t have to be a football fan to enjoy the film, any sports fan can relate to the story that is thrust upon you…It is the classic David and Goliath type battle with football being the medium. I can remember the first time I saw the film, the cinema erupted every time the prisoners scored a goal, that was the intensity of the movie. If you are not a football fan, this movie might just convert you. Originally rolled (as issued) this US half-subway poster (printed for use in New York) presents to excellent effect with fantastic Jarvis imagery of Caine, Stallone and Pele that perfectly suits the portrait format.
Trivia: Fate brought “Victory” to Stallone’s attention. In 1979, Stallone was looking to buy a beach house in Malibu, CA. One of the houses he looked at was owned by producer Freddie Fields. After Stallone looked over the house, he met Fields out on the sundeck to tell him that, unfortunately, the house was too small. Not to let a good opportunity pass, Fields began to tell Stallone the story of a new film he wanted to make entitled “Victory.” Fields happened to have an available script on him. Stallone was intrigued enough to to take the script home with him. Three days later, Stallone announced he wanted to play Captain Hatch in the movie.

Released on Netflix in July 2023 “WHAM!” is one the channel’s most streamed programmes, documenting (largely through the scrap book diaries kept by Andrew Ridgeley’s Mum) the effervescent rise of the happy go lucky pop duo and the emergence of George into a global solo singer/song-writer superstar. Prior to the film’s Netflix release it was screened for one-night only on June 27th in only a small number of select cinemas throughout the UK. The poster (a UK quad) used to accompany and promote this release features the imagery of photographer Chris Craymer. His photograph perfectly captures the charm, bubbliness, friendship and true happiness of the duo as they were starting out on their musical journey. Incredibly rare, due to the very limited number of cinemas showing the movie, this originally rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and represents a fantastic and hugely collectable item of music and movie memorabilia.

After filming was completed, Cage gave his jacket to Laura Dern.

With its iconic Ralph Steadman artwork an incredible find, an original 1987 UK quad film poster for Bruce Robinson’s classic cult hit “Withnail and I”. Although now regarded as a truly iconic film on its initial release the reception was (too say the least) lukewarm based upon a very low key marketing campaign. One of the scarcest and most desirable British film posters of the 80’s. Steadman’s unique and immediately recognisable design for the title is bordered with an ornate gilded frame off set against a white tiled toilet wall covered with graffiti …Very much complementing the overall atmosphere of squalor that pervades the film. Offered here is an exceptional unrestored country of origin British UK quad movie poster from 1987 for one of the most celebrated British film’s of recent times.
