  • Fire and Ice Movie Poster

    Fire and Ice

    £175.00

“At the end of the ice age, an evil queen and her son are set on conquering the world using magic and warriors. The lone survivor of a crushed village fights back as does the king of Fire Keep.”

“Fire and Ice” is a cult animated feature, based on characters co-created by Ralph Bakshi and legendary fantasy artist Frank Frazetta, and was made using the process of rotoscoping, in which scenes were shot in live-action and then traced onto animation cels. And it is from the first year of release, 1983 that this Frazetta illustrated original British UK quad is from. Impressive and exciting poster artwork promising everything that the award winning artist could offer – Frazetta is regarded as one of the greatest fantasy and science fiction artists of all time, noted for comic books, paperback book covers, paintings, posters, LP record album covers and other media, with some examples of his painted original artwork selling for seven figures, making this film poster very good value for money. Presented in lovely unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition this is a marvellous item of 1980’s nostalgia and a great piece of original cinematic movie memorabilia

Trivia: According to director Ralph Bakshi, the animators found working for producer Frank Frazetta to be so daunting that some of them even fainted when Frazetta visited the set.

  • The Princess Bride Alternative Movie Poster

    The Princess Bride

    £175.00

“Heroes. Giants. Villains. Wizards. True Love. – Not just your basic, average, everyday, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, ho-hum fairy tale.”

Rob Reiner’s much-loved fantasy adventure is celebrated in this exceptionally limited poster created by acclaimed British artist Matt Ferguson. Produced exclusively for a one-night-only screening of “The Princess Bride” at The Light Cinema on Saturday 12 September, 2026, the poster was issued solely to those who attended the event and was never made available through a general commercial release and has been signed by the artist, Matt Ferguson.

Ferguson’s romantic composition places Westley and Princess Buttercup at its centre, surrounded by Inigo Montoya, Fezzik, Vizzini and Prince Humperdinck. The Cliffs of Insanity, sword-fighting ruins, sailing ship and storybook imagery capture the film’s unique blend of romance, comedy, adventure and fairy-tale magic. The familiar words “Heroes, Giants, Villains, Wizards and True Love” complete the design.

Measuring approximately 34 × 24 inches, this scarce event poster is presented rolled and remains in excellent condition. With its highly restricted attendee-only distribution and tremendous visual impact, it makes a superb display piece for collectors of “The Princess Bride”, alternative movie posters, Matt Ferguson and exclusive cinema-event artwork.

Trivia: According to author William Goldman, when he was first trying to get the movie made in the 1970s, a then-unknown Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted to play Fezzik, and he was strongly being considered because Goldman could never get his first choice, André the Giant, to read for the role. By the time the movie was made about twelve years later, Schwarzenegger was such a big star they could not afford him. Andre was cast after all, and the two big men had gone on to become friends.
