“Agents, Villains and The Babes”
Commissioned in 1998 as one of a series of poster designs intended to promote the James Bond Exhibition held at the Roemer – Und Pelizaeus – Museum, Hildesheim Germany. Titled “Agents, Villains and The Babes” the stunning 007 artwork by regular Bond poster artist Robert McGinnis, features a highly detailed all-action montage from Bond’s previous adventures. However the border artwork is made up of beautiful, largely naked or scantily clad women which after consultation with the Museum Board was considered too risqué to use in publicising the Exhibition so only a small number of the initial print run were all that was printed. The example offered here is from this first print run and should not be confused with the later Limited Edition lithograph issued by McGinnis himself which has the censored artwork which was also used for the cover of the Sunday Times November 7th 1999 edition (photo for reference). Originally flat and unfolded (as issued) this amazing example displays and presents to excellent effect. Guaranteed original this represents a highly desirable piece of original James Bond memorabilia with impressive unmistakably Robert McGinnis 007 artwork.

“The name’s Bond … James Bond”
Issued in 1998 as one of a series of poster designs to promote the James Bond Exhibition held at the Roemer – Und Pelizaeus – Museum, Hildesheim Germany. The striking imagery by Johann Zambryski features an abstract pop-art rendition of Sean Connery and is the rarest of the designs with only 50 being printed and exclusively issued to Museum Staff and never offered for sale to the general public. Originally rolled (as issued) this stunning example displays and presents to excellent effect and was likely unused. After an extremely successful advertising campaign on “SKYFALL” & “SPECTRE” Empire Design have been retained by EON for the latest Bond spectacular “No Time To Die” & it’s fair to say they have hit the target again. This original “November” Advance US one sheet for Cary Joji Fukunaga‘s Bond film has a real exciting feel with Bond (Daniel Craig) poised for action. These “November” advance posters are extremely collectable, not only because they look great but are now dated wrongly, with the release being postponed (due to Covid 19) until April 2021. Originally rolled (as issued) this stunning example displays and presents to excellent effect. Guaranteed original this represents a highly desirable piece of James Bond movie memorabilia for what is reported to be Craig’s last appearance as the spy with a ‘Licence to Kill’.
Trivia: First James Bond movie to feature all the characters of Q, Felix Leiter, Miss Moneypenny, and M since Licence to Kill (1989), which is an interval of about thirty-one years.

With the release of Bond 25 – “No Time To Die” being delayed again from April until the Autumn of 2021 this original UK quad film poster has been released with the updated tagline “In Cinemas 2021” (Let’s hope that is the case). After an extremely successful advertising campaign on “SKYFALL” & “SPECTRE” Empire Design have been retained by EON for the latest Bond spectacular “No Time To Die” & it’s fair to say they have hit the target again. This original “In Cinemas 2021” British quad for Cary Joji Fukunaga‘s Bond film has a real exciting feel with Bond (Daniel Craig) poised for action. Because of the continued release delays and high expectations these posters are highly collectable. Originally rolled (as issued) this stunning example displays and presents to excellent effect. “You Only Live Twice…and “TWICE” is the only way to live!”
A series of three main general release poster designs were commissioned to promote Sean Connery’s fifth outing as 007 “You Only Live Twice” (1967) with artwork by both Robert McGinnis and Frank McCarthy used. Of the three different styles produced for the film, the “Style-C”– ‘Bath-Tub’ is the most difficult poster to find. Whereas “action” is the key selling point of the two Frank McCarthy designs, McGinnis focuses on Bond’s sex appeal with his poster design with risqué artwork featuring a Japanese ‘geisha’ girl with her hand washing below the waterline near to Bond’s groin area. The original 1967 Style C British UK quad movie poster offered here is presented in amazing unrestored, folded (as issued) condition and perfectly suited to the landscape style for which it McGinnis designed it for. Colours are strong and vibrant with the white background totally unfaded and bright. A true first release stating ‘Sean Connery IS James Bond’ – Connery was by now increasingly concerned of being typecast and insisted on this tagline to be changed to read AS instead of IS, with the later printings either having a glued snipe or reprinted AS. Measuring 30″ x 40″, NOT one of the slightly over-sized 31″ x 41″ posters that were printed a little bit later and used largely for provincial cinemas. Hugely desirable and very collectable, it would be a worthy addition to any collection of James Bond movie memorabilia and is a truly impressive 007 poster.
Trivia: This marks the fifth and final on-screen appearance together of Sir Sean Connery and Lois Maxwell. In Diamonds Are Forever (1971), the scene where the disguised Moneypenny gives Bond his travel documents at the port of Dover, Maxwell and Connery filmed their lines separately, and were not present together for the short scene.
