  Adapted from Philip K. Dick’s novel ‘Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?’, Ridley Scott’s “Blade Runner” iconic dystopian classic is unquestionably one of the greatest sci-fi films ever made. So, it was no surprise a sequel was made, what was surprising was the follow-up never happened until 2017, thirty-five years after the original was released. Still, it’s fair to say the wait was worth it – “Blade Runner 2049” sees Harrison Ford reprise his role as Rick Deckard and a new Blade Runner is introduced, ‘K’ played by Ryan Gosling. It’s a visually beautiful movie with some imaginative action scenes perfectly orchestrated by director, Denis Villeneuve. The visual impact is certainly evident in the poster campaign that accompanied the release. Advertising agency WORKS ADV have produced an impressive series of posters including this amazing Advance ‘10.6.17’ US one-sheet. Produced in two versions – one with a red title and the other a blue title. For me the ‘Tiffany’ blue style (as offered here) is much more effective. This rolled (as issued) example displays and presents to excellent effect with minimal handling wear and represents an impressive piece of cinematic movie memorabilia for one of the most influential film series not just of the sci-fi genre but modern culture in general.

  Trivia: The first letter of the names of each of the wooden animals that Rick Deckard carved in this movie: Rhino, Antelope, Cat, Horse, Elephant, Lion, spell “RACHEL”.

Printed on Fedrigoni Old Mill Stucco Premium White art paper using eleven (11) coloured inks and finished with a fluorescent UV Layer  it looks absolutely stunning and it’s no surprise this sold out immediately when released.   Blade Runner: The Director’s Cut

  “Man Has Made His Match… Now It’s His Problem.”

  Ridley Scott’s visionary science-fiction masterpiece returned to cinemas in 1992 with “Blade Runner: The Director’s Cut”, promoted by this impressive 30 × 40-inch UK Quad poster. John Alvin’s celebrated artwork places Harrison Ford’s Rick Deckard and Sean Young’s Rachael above the neon-lit towers, airborne vehicles and rain-soaked cityscape of futuristic Los Angeles.

  Loosely adapted from Philip K. Dick’s influential 1968 novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”, the film follows a specialist police officer tasked with hunting genetically engineered replicants. Alvin’s atmospheric composition perfectly reflects its fusion of futuristic spectacle, film noir and philosophical mystery. This Director’s Cut removed the original narration and presented Scott’s darker, more enigmatic vision to a new generation of cinemagoers.

  Presented rolled, (as issued) this highly collectable British poster remains in excellent unrestored condition. With tremendous visual impact, it makes a superb display piece for collectors of Blade Runner, Ridley Scott, Harrison Ford and classic science-fiction cinema

  Trivia: The film suffered at the box office, because it opened at the same time as E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982). The movie The Thing (1982) suffered a similar fate due to the same reason. Although there was praise for the visual style, word of mouth about the film’s slow pace and bleak themes quickly caused a decrease in attendance ratings. Both movies would later reach cult status and receive critical praise.

  These three great alternate art, ‘faux’ movie posters were created for the special IMAX release for Ridley Scott’s “The Martian”. They were on display in IMAX cinemas for one week starting October 30, 2015. Featuring the artwork of Steve Thomas each poster highlights a different aspect of the Ares III mission – Ares Mission Ship: Hermes ‘Carrying Our Future’, Ares Mission to Mars: ‘Science For the Future’ and MARS: ‘More to Explore’. Printed on deluxe paper stock, for use exclusively in IMAX cinemas this is a genuinely scarce set of three posters. Originally rolled (as issued) all three display and present to excellent effect with stunning sci-fi imagery, that represent a truly impressive set of collectable cinematic movie memorabilia.

  Trivia: Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson has said that this is the most accurate film he has ever seen in regards to astrophysics and how Mars would be if inhabited.
