“It’s not a biography. It’s a senses attack”
Undoubtedly, one of the great music biography films; David Bowie as presented by Brett Morgen in “Moonage Daydream”. Technically it’s not a biography but a loud, vivid, exploration and celebration of Bowie’s life, art, and music. Made up of clips cleverly edited together and enhanced to make this a cinematic experience. This original 2022 one-sheet designed by Empire Design and featuring an iconic Bianca Moran Parkes Bowie image is a truly great find due to the very limited cinematic release in art-house and small independent cinemas. Presented in near perfect unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition – truly stunning, and a perfect compliment to the ground breaking musician. Incredibly scarce with a very low print run this really is an exciting item of rock / movie collectible from one of the most influential icons of modern pop culture…David Bowie.
Trivia: The documentary includes a lot of David Bowie‘s unpublished personal material, including photos, home videos and some interviews on TV. Director Brett Morgen talked in person with Bowie’s widow, top model Iman, for asking permission to use the material as tribute to Bowie. Although in a first moment she was reluctant to this idea, she was convinced by Morgen’s previous works Cobain: Montage of Heck (2015) and Jane (2017) about singer Kurt Cobain and scientist Jane Goodall, where Morgen used personal material from each other to create artistic collages as tribute to them, instead to use in the way to make a classic biographic documentary.

Truly one of the greatest gangster films ever made Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time In America. An epic, episodic, tale of the lives of a small group of New York City Jewish gangsters spanning over 40 years and thankfully it has a movie poster to match it. This original 1984 US one-sheet features beautiful atmospheric design with a fantastic image of the Brooklyn Bridge and sepia colours that are a perfect complement to Leone’s film. Originally folded (as issued) this rare example is presented in beautiful unrestored condition; it presents and displays to excellent effect and represents an impressive example of very collectable original movie memorabilia from a multi award winning film and one of cinema’s leading directors.
Trivia: Sergio Leone had refused the offer to direct The Godfather (1972), an opportunity he deeply regretted. This may have partly inspired him to try a gangster film. Leone has also notably used the flashback technique pioneered in The Godfather: Part II (1974).

One of the rarer posters from Ale Cox’s movie that was meant to define punk’s ‘Posh & Becks’. This is the 2016, 30th Anniversary re-release for the punk-rocku-drama “Sid & Nancy”. Considering it was such a bleak and colourless film the use of bright yellow and red as a main part of the design is unusual to say the least. Still it works & this originally rolled (as issued) version displays and presents to excellent effect and looks superb. If you were a fan, a punk or identify with the film then this is a great snapshot of the time, the pop culture and the genre.
Trivia: Gary Oldman lived on a diet of steamed fish and melon to lose enough weight to play the emaciated, heroin-addicted Sid, and was hospitalized when he went too far and became malnourished.

“To Cut a Long Story Short”…It’s not many films that get a a London premiere at the Royal Albert Hall, but then it’s not every film that tells the story of meteoric rise, fall and ultimate reunion of new romantic pop sensations, Spandau Ballet. The advertising campaign was very low key and the UK film poster that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release is truly scarce. It really is a great snap shot of the 80’s image of the band from their first visit to New York. Originally rolled this incredibly rare example displays as new. Never commercially available the posters for this release are unbelievably scarce…fantastic item of Spandau Ballet / New Romantics / film / cultural memorabilia presented in investment grade condition !

The sequel to the Spider-Man movie is everything a fan of the first could ask for. Imagine the surprise to see such care, effort and appreciation put into every character within the movie, with excellent acting, direction, sound, computer animation… all of it seamlessly integrated into a film that is very aware of the history, the fandom, and the expectations associated with the Spider-Man franchise. “Spider-Man 2” is the perfect film for the comic book genre, and the perfect sequel for Spider-Man fans. A special promotional poster was issued to promote “Spider-Man 2” (2004), the second film in Sam Raimi’s trilogy. The image shows Spider-Man web-spinning his way over a sun drenched New York and has been designed in plastic with a relief effect, almost 3D so that the title and Spider-Man figure are raised from the background. Manufactured in Italy, this was exclusively only ever available in the US and printed in extremely low numbers due to production costs. One of the most popular characters ever created with a huge and loyal fan-base, the original film poster offered here represents a a very collectable item of movie memorabilia.
Trivia: When Peter dumps his Spider-Man suit in a garbage can, it’s a recreation to a panel from the iconic comic book storyline “Spider-Man No More”, Issue #50 from The Amazing Spider-Man. As in the film, the outfit is found and brought to J Jonah Jameson, then reclaimed by Spider-Man who leaves a note like the one in the movie.

An incredible looking movie poster full of glitter and glamour, designed by the creative advertising agency A&E Networks, with colourful imagery perfectly in keeping with the subject matter (the most famous and talked about nightclub of the 1970s and 80s) for Matt Tyrnauer’s “Studio 54”. A cultural and social phenomenon that pretty much affected everyone involved or who frequented the establishment…music, dancing, fashion, attitudes, celebrity and fame. Made with the unique insight of former owner Ian Schrager it’s a fascinating study on why Studio 54 drew many people and celebrities to its unconventional parties and gatherings. Drugs, alcohol and sex of all kinds inhabited the place which made it all the more notorious and controversial. The stunning UK quad that accompanied the 2018 release is presented in high grade rolled (as issued) condition that display and presents to excellent effect. A genuinely scarce and hard to find example of cinema memorabilia that looks amazing.

“Trailblazer…Inspiration…Survivor…The Queen has come to claim her Crown !”
“SUZI Q” is Liam Firmager’s ‘rockumentary’ of trailblazing American rock singer-songwriter Suzi Quatro, who helped redefine the role of women in rock ‘n’ roll when she broke out in 1973 selling over 50 million records on the way. The original UK quad film poster to accompany the release features the ‘Devil-Gate Drive’ rocker in all her glam-glory with a striking retro image. The advertising campaign for the movie was very low key and the UK film posters that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release are truly scarce. Perhaps one of the most defining images in cinematic history and certainly up there with Karloff’s Frankenstein monster as the most memorable of the horror genre – Linda Blair as the possessed Regan. This alternative movie poster by horror artist supreme, Graham Humphreys for William Friedkin’s Oscar winning horror masterpiece “The Exorcist” is a striking example of horror artwork, featuring some incredible characterisations and an amazing colour palette – from orange to sickly green/grey. The limited edition fine art print Offered here has been signed by Humphreys and hand-numbered #9 from a print run of only 59. Hugely oversubscribed, this scarce print was sold out prior to release and presents and displays to excellent effect. Originally flat and folded (as issued) this beautiful example represents a hard to find piece of cinematic horror memorabilia for this much revered and hugely influential Oscar winning horror movie.
Trivia: When Regan projectile vomits at Father Karras, the vomit was intended to hit Jason Miller in the chest, but the plastic tubing misfired, hitting him in the face. His reaction of shock and disgust while wiping away the vomit is genuine, and Miller admitted in interviews that he was very angered by this mistake.

Francis Ford Coppola’s multi Oscar winning masterpiece “The Godfather” is THE GREATEST FILM EVER MADE. Re-released in 2022 for its 5oth Anniversary, renowned artist Paul Shipper was commissioned to create a new poster for the event. Shipper’s artwork is superb with an incredible cast montage poster, with as you would expect Brando & Pacino taking centre stage. This British one-sheet displays to excellent effect and is an outstanding movie poster for a film, that is a phenomenon. An exquisite Mafia epic with outstanding performances, Coppola got everything right, creating a cinematic event with an immeasurable influence on everyday culture and life.
Trivia: The smack that Vito gives Johnny Fontane was not in the script. Marlon Brando improvised the smack and Al Martino‘s confused reaction was real. According to James Caan, “Martino didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.”

Kleinsmith’s artwork and use of bold colour is very clever with more than a nod to the Eastern European school of poster design. Full of classic Godfather symbolism – the severed horse’s head, oranges from the Don’s garden and a blood splatter that features all of the Corleone Family – subtly stating that the Family has blood in its history. Commissioned for a limited screening at the Alamo Drafthouse theatre in 2009, this fine example has been hand-numbered #253 from a print run of only 285. It displays to excellent effect and is an outstanding example of an alternative movie poster for a film, that is a phenomenon. A simple and effective film poster that sells the movie through its two main stars; Elizabeth Taylor & Warren Beatty who both feature in a lovely black & white photographic portrait offset against a muted orange background. Originally folded (as issued) and unrestored this rare 1969 US one sheet movie poster presents superbly and is displays to excellent effect. Extremely hard to find this US version is an eye-catching piece that represents an excellent example of very stylish collectable original film memorabilia for two of the screens greatest stars.
