“The incredible true story of how the world’s greatest Street Art movie was never made…”
“Exit Through the Giftshop” is an Oscar nominated documentary of how an eccentric French amateur film maker attempted to locate and befriend the anonymous British graffiti/street artist Banksy. The documentary also featured other giants of the street art movement, including Shepard Fairey, Invader, Sweet Toof, Cyclops, Swoon, Ron English, and Buff Monster. The finished movie is a remarkable piece of film-making. The UK quad offered here represents a Banksy designed piece that is often referred to as the ‘Mona Lisa in a shopping trolley’ style. Printed in remarkably small numbers for release in art-house cinemas, this is a marvellous opportunity to own an affordable example of Banksy’s artwork and a piece of original cinematic memorabilia presented in excellent condition.
Trivia: The film had its unofficial UK premiere in an abandoned rail tunnel underneath London’s Waterloo station, an area devoted to graffiti and street art. Tickets for this sold out in a minute. A red carpet was spraypainted on the ground especially for the occasion, while spectators were all presented with tins of spray paint as they left the screening.

“You know, it’s kinda like… Success is subjective, you know. It could be an opinion.”
“Last Days”, Gus Van Sant’s experimental film loosely inspired by Kurt Cobain’s, err, last days and the rock star that indie darling Michael Pitt satisfyingly embodies here. The original UK quad film poster to accompany the 2005 release was designed by the creative arts agency Shoolery Design and features a ‘grungey’ close up of Pitt. Like many ‘art-house’ and independent releases the advertising campaign was very low key and the UK film poster that accompanied the extremely limited cinema release is truly scarce. Originally rolled this incredibly rare example displays to excellent effect and represents a highly sought after piece of collectible music/film/ memorabilia presented in superb condition.
Trivia: Gus Van Sant had originally intended to make a direct bio-pic of Kurt Cobain in the mid-1990’s but ran into legal obstruction from Cobain’s widow, Courtney Love. Undeterred, Van Sant met with Love to discuss some ideas for the film, as well as her possible involvement. Though the two actually became friends and discussed the film for years, Van Sant eventually realized that Love was too devastated by Cobain’s death to ever collaborate on the film or even allow a bio-pic to ever be made and adapted his ideas into this fictionalized story.

Not only because it is such a stylish and cool thriller movie but because of a beautiful painted movie poster created by artist, James Paterson. Although a huge success with audiences and critics alike the movie is considered somewhat ‘art-house’ and had a very limited cinema release resulting in the scarcity of the posters used in the marketing campaign with this particular example being an English language text style used for the Japanese release. Originally rolled (as issued) this Japanese B2 movie poster looks and displays to excellent effect with minimal handling wear with imagery perfectly suited to the portrait style format; the bold colours are particularly vibrant. A scarce, ‘modern’ original collectable movie memorabilia from a truly talented director that looks very very cool !
Trivia: The drink ordered by Sandie early on in the film is a Vesper created by Ian Fleming in the 1953 James Bond novel Casino Royale. The character Vesper Lynd was portrayed by Eva Green in Casino Royale (2006).

Undoubtedly, one of the great music biography films; David Bowie as presented by Brett Morgen in “Moonage Daydream”. Technically it’s not a biography but a loud, vivid, exploration and celebration of Bowie’s life, art, and music. Made up of clips cleverly edited together and enhanced to make this a cinematic experience. This original 2022 one-sheet designed by Empire Design and featuring an iconic Bianca Moran Parkes Bowie image is a truly great find due to the very limited cinematic release in art-house and small independent cinemas. Presented in near perfect unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition – truly stunning, and a perfect compliment to the ground breaking musician. Incredibly scarce with a very low print run this really is an exciting item of rock / movie collectible from one of the most influential icons of modern pop culture…David Bowie.
Trivia: The documentary includes a lot of David Bowie‘s unpublished personal material, including photos, home videos and some interviews on TV. Director Brett Morgen talked in person with Bowie’s widow, top model Iman, for asking permission to use the material as tribute to Bowie. Although in a first moment she was reluctant to this idea, she was convinced by Morgen’s previous works Cobain: Montage of Heck (2015) and Jane (2017) about singer Kurt Cobain and scientist Jane Goodall, where Morgen used personal material from each other to create artistic collages as tribute to them, instead to use in the way to make a classic biographic documentary.

With some colourful, dynamic artwork it really epitomises the time and is a very ‘FUN’ poster. This original 1976 UK quad film poster is presented in excellent original unrestored, folded (as issued) condition that displays to fine effect; colours are deep and unfaded with some great glam 70’s imagery. A rare example that hardly ever turns up for sale in this high grade condition and represents a fantastic piece of very collectable and desirable original movie memorabilia from the decade of Glam-Rock.

Tim Burton seems like the only being on the planet who could come with characters such as the ones found in “The Nightmare Before Christmas” The feature is literally a tale likely to be found in a child’s dreams It creates a world of its own, inhabiting unforgettable characters, events that should be shared with generations This film is a visual masterpiece; a movie that deserves its reputation as a timeless “Burtonesque” classic. This original 1993 British quad poster designed by Nels Israelson perfectly captures all of Burton’s stylish elements – I particularly like the use of the bright orange day glow ink in the title. Outstanding artwork and design for this rather unusual Disney production . Trivia: Jack’s doorbell is a nod to a similar contraption in the Addams Family original TV series.
