  • Hearts-of-Fire-Movie-Poster

    Hearts of Fire

    £75.00

Mick Jagger was the first choice for the male lead, but turned it down before Bob Dylan got cast.”

Designed by the creative arts agency Feref Associates this colourful and energetic UK quad film poster is a fitting tribute to the over the top 80’s. Like many of this type of ‘art-house’ film the cinematic release was strictly limited, making any paper from the original release extremely scarce and very sought after by memorabilia and Dylan fans with the British UK quad design being particularly desirable. This original 1987 film poster with its stylised artwork and ‘in your face colours’ was originally folded (as issued) and remains in excellent unrestored condition. It displays and presents near flawlessly with amazing rich colour tones and represents a fine example of original and collectable movie and rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia.

  • James Bond: For Your Eyes Only Movie Poster

James Bond: For Your Eyes Only

    £195.00

No one comes close to JAMES BOND 007…Bond for action in For Your Eyes Only

After the ‘Star Wars’ style excesses of the previous movie “Moonraker” this is more of a return to a realistic spy thriller in John Glen’s “For Your Eyes Only” and it is director John Glen who has personally signed this poster – a lovely clear signature in black pen on the red background above the title. This original US one sheet is from first year of release 1981 featuring iconic artwork that incorporates the “legs” aspect of Bill Gold’s design and Brian Bysouth’s finished artwork. There is no doubting that this originally folded (as issued) example displays very well and is probably the most recognisable of all the Roger Moore, Bond posters and represents an impressive example of original collectable James Bond movie memorabilia.

Trivia; after much debate the infamous “legs” belong to New York model Joyce Bartle.

  • Quatermass and the Pit Movie Poster

    Quatermass and the Pit

    £2,250.00

“A Force more powerful than 1,000 H-Bombs unleashed to devastate earth ! World in panic ! Cities in flames !”

A beautiful and incredibly rare country of origin UK quad film poster and one of Hammer’s best for Roy Ward Baker’s 1967 supernatural alien invasion thriller “Quatermass and the Pit”. Tom Chantrell’s magnificent detailed artwork; heaving bosoms, London aflame in ruins, glittering spaceships, martian devils is stunning…A personal favourite and featured in Marcus Hearn’s excellent book “The Art of Hammer”. Folded (as issued) with strong vibrant colours this totally original unrestored investment grade example from first year of release 1967 presents superbly and is a very rare example of country of origin Hammer Horror memorabilia and one of the best movie posters produced from one of their finest and most respected productions…“You realise what you are implying? That we owe our human condition here to the intervention of insects”

Trivia: When Dr. Quatermass is picking at the eyeball of the dead Martian creature in his laboratory, the pupils of the compound eye are a rectangular slot shape rather then round like a human eye. This is reminiscent of a goat’s eye, a creature that, for centuries, has been associated with witchcraft and sorcery.
