    Spider-Man 2

    £325.00

“Then you know why we can’t be together. Spider-Man will always have enemies. I can’t let you take that risk. I will always be Spider-Man. You and I can never be…”

The sequel to the Spider-Man movie is everything a fan of the first could ask for. Imagine the surprise to see such care, effort and appreciation put into every character within the movie, with excellent acting, direction, sound, computer animation… all of it seamlessly integrated into a film that is very aware of the history, the fandom, and the expectations associated with the Spider-Man franchise. “Spider-Man 2” is the perfect film for the comic book genre, and the perfect sequel for Spider-Man fans. A special promotional poster was issued to promote “Spider-Man 2” (2004), the second film in Sam Raimi’s trilogy. The image shows Spider-Man web-spinning his way over a sun drenched New York and has been designed in plastic with a relief effect, almost 3D so that the title and Spider-Man figure are raised from the background. Manufactured in Italy, this was exclusively only ever available in the US and printed in extremely low numbers due to production costs. One of the most popular characters ever created with a huge and loyal fan-base, the original film poster offered here represents a a very collectable item of  movie memorabilia.

Trivia: When Peter dumps his Spider-Man suit in a garbage can, it’s a recreation to a panel from  the iconic comic book storyline “Spider-Man No More”, Issue #50 from The Amazing Spider-Man. As in the film, the outfit is found and brought to J Jonah Jameson, then reclaimed by Spider-Man who leaves a note like the one in the movie.

  • The Interview Movie Poster

    The Interview

    £125.00

“Dave Skylark and his producer Aaron Rapaport run the celebrity tabloid show “Skylark Tonight”. When they land an interview with a surprise fan, North Korean dictator Jong-Un Kim, they are recruited by the CIA to assassinate him.”

Few modern film campaigns have generated as much controversy as “The Interview”, represented here by its unmistakable propaganda-style US one-sheet poster. Designed by Ignition, the bold artwork places Aaron Rapaport (Seth Rogen) and Dave Skylark (James Franco) amid missiles, soldiers, tanks and radiating communist imagery, with Korean lettering completing its deliberately provocative appearance.

Directed by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the action comedy follows a television presenter and his producer whose planned interview with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un becomes an unlikely CIA assassination mission. The film attracted worldwide attention after a major cyberattack on Sony Pictures and threats against cinemas disrupted its planned theatrical release. It ultimately opened in a limited number of independent venues on Christmas Day 2014 alongside a digital release.

Measuring 27 × 40 inches, the poster is presented rolled (as issued) and remains in excellent condition. Although the artwork appears distressed and weathered around the edges, this is an intentional element of the printed design rather than actual wear. With tremendous visual impact, this highly desirable piece of rare cinematic memorabilia makes a superb display piece for collectors of controversial films, distinctive poster artwork and modern cinema history.

Trivia: With all the support from politicans and celebrities such as George Clooney, Sean Penn, Michael Moore, and even President Barack Obama, Sony Pictures Entertainment decided to release the film on the original release date of December 25, 2014 in select theaters and Video-On-Demand.
