Probably the most important film of ‘modern’ cinema, launching a movie trend that is now commonly referred to as the ‘Summer Blockbuster’. It also happens to be one of the best and most memorable movie poster images ever ! Designed by The Seiniger Advertising Agency with finished artwork by Roger Kastel the poster has attained cult status. Once you’ve seen the film (& who hasn’t) you see the poster and you just can’t get John Williams’ distinctive soundtrack out of your head. This original UK quad for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 masterpiece “Jaws” is for the September 9th 2022 re-release for IMAX cinema screens and a Real D 3D version. Although retaining the original artwork it has been slightly altered to denote this is, with a shark-bite evident on the ‘A’ of IMAX. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect. Perfect, deep rich colours this is a truly outstanding and extremely rare original film poster that is only available for this very limited cinematic release with the UK quad being the only landcscape format printed. It presents and displays to excellent effect and represents a key item of highly sought after, collectable original movie memorabilia…“You’re gonna need a bigger boat !”
Trivia: Several decades after the film’s release, Lee Fierro, who played Mrs. Kintner, walked into a seafood restaurant and noticed that the menu had an “Alex Kintner Sandwich.” She commented that she had played his mother so many years ago; the owner of the restaurant ran out to meet her, and he was none other than Jeffrey Voorhees, who had played her son. They had not seen each other since the original movie shoot.

Yes it really has been 50 years with this release having a special introduction by Spielberg himself. Although retaining the original artwork, the title has been adapted with 50th Anniversary added with a shark’s fin cleverly styled into the ’50’. Originally rolled (as issued) this displays to excellent effect. Perfect, deep rich colours this is a truly outstanding and extremely rare original film poster that is only available for this very limited cinematic release with the UK quad being the only landcscape format printed. There is no doubting the cinematic and cultural influence of Batman’s arch nemesis The Joker with this latest offering looking to be the best yet. Joaquin Phoenix stars as Arthur ‘Joker’ Fleck in Todd Phillips’ “Joker”. A production hugely anticipated by the fans as he presents his own unique take on the ‘Clown Prince of Crime’. Creative arts agency BOND have designed a truly stunning film poster for the 2019 US one sheet featuring an scene from the explosive finale. This is the very hard to source IMAX version for this critically acclaimed and commercially record breaking film and destined to become as iconic as Phoenix’s portrayal of DC’s ‘anti-superhero’. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect without a blemish of note and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia for one of popular culture’s most recognised villains.
NOTE: The IMAX version is incredibly scarce and printed in much lower numbers than the ‘regular’ designs
Trivia #1: The stairs in the movie are at 1170 Shakespeare Avenue, Bronx, New York with the footage of him dancing down them to the Gary Glitter song ‘Rock and Roll Part 2’ being used for the film, trailer and poster.
Trivia #2: The Joker’s make-up is very similar to John Wayne Gacy‘s, a serial killer who would often entertain children while dressed as Pogo the Clown. This make-up style was shunned by working clowns at the time, as they strictly prohibit “sharp” ends in their make-up, as it scares children.

“Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” was the second part of a new concept for the Star Wars franchise, being part of a new prequel trilogy created by George Lucas and set before the events of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, introducing a new group of heroes & the early informative years of some well known ones. The release of any Star Wars film is always accompanied by a huge global marketing and merchandising campaign with the movie posters produced always being of the highest artistic quality. The IMAX “Size Matters Not…Except on an IMAX Screen” one-sheet poster featuring Yoda is a wonderful diversion from the more traditional, modern movie marketing campaign with this retro, period-style by Dave McMacken. Much scarcer than the regular film posters, being only created for IMAX cinemas they were printed in significantly lower numbers. Guaranteed original and presented here in fantastic unrestored condition this beautiful ROLLED (as issued) example looks fantastic with minimal handling wear; deep unfaded vibrant colour tones…A desirable example of original Star Wars movie memorabilia from what has become one of the most collectable and popular modern movie franchises.
Trivia: Like Ewan McGregor did in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Hayden Christensen made “light-saber noises” the first time he was handed one in rehearsal. After chuckling at the young star’s antics, George Lucas informed him that they probably had people in Sound Effects who could do a better job in post-production.
