The Czech film poster (as offered here) from 2021 (first year of release in the Czech Republic) for “My Neighbor Totoro” features the translated localised title “Můj soused Totoro” prominently displayed at the top, in large, bold, soft-pink capital letters. The imagery mirrors the iconic, classic Japanese bus stop scene and features Satsuki standing in the pouring rain with her red umbrella next to the massive, stoic Totoro. Beneath the main title, the poster features the Czech tagline: “Nejroztomilejší hrdina všech dob poprvé v českých kinech”, which translates to “The cutest hero of all time, in Czech cinemas for the first time”. Presented in excellent condition, colours are deep and unfaded with some truly memorable imagery. This fine example represents a fantastic piece of very collectable and desirable original movie memorabilia that will appeal to Anime and Studio Ghibli fans or those just looking for something very special to hang on their wall.
Trivia: A Totoro plushie appears as one of the stuffed animals in Toy Story 3 (2010).

“Haku, listen. I just remembered something from a long time ago, I think it may help you. Once, when I was little, I dropped my shoe into a river. When I tried to get it back I fell in. I thought I’d drown but the water carried me to shore. It finally came back to me. The river’s name was the Kohaku river. I think that was you, and your real name is Kohaku River.”
Original UK quad cinema poster produced for the 2024 theatrical re-release of Hayao Miyazaki’s “Spirited Away”. The striking landscape design places Chihiro before the magnificent bathhouse, framed by a vivid blue sky and the film’s instantly recognisable red bridge. Review quotations and five-star ratings celebrate the enduring reputation of Studio Ghibli’s Academy Award-winning animated masterpiece.
First released in Japan in 2001, “Spirited Away” follows ten-year-old Chihiro into an extraordinary realm of spirits, magic and transformation. This edition accompanied the film’s return to UK cinemas on Boxing Day 2024. With the re-release shown largely in art-house and independent cinemas and for a very limited period, relatively few promotional posters were distributed, making surviving examples extremely scarce.
Presented rolled (as issued) and in excellent condition, this colourful poster designed especially for this release by the creative agency Mister S, has tremendous visual impact and is a superb display piece for collectors of Studio Ghibli, Japanese animation and Hayao Miyazaki.
