Love it or hate it “Rise of the Footsoldier” is a modern classic with a huge cult following. Filmed in 2007 and based on a true story of Essex gangsters – Carlton Leach, Tony Tucker and pat Tate it faithfully recreates the 1990s in all of its glory, portraying a violent crime genre that is still going strong and showing no sign of flagging with four sequels to date. There is so little paper available for this title, making this original UK quad such a great find – it is ultra rare and the first time we have ever offered one for sale. The eye-catching black and white imagery created by Mister S is certainly striking as the cast are featured on the barrel of a shotgun Originally rolled (as issued), the poster displays beautifully and is presented in excellent condition with minimal handling wear and represents an extremely desirable piece of original British cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: During the films opening scene in the morgue, the answering machine message left on Tony Tucker’s phone was the real life recording that Carlton left him the day after the shooting. This was confirmed by Carlton in an interview with James English.

An extremely rare and desirable country of origin double crown film poster for Jonathan Glazer’s dark brit-gangster thriller “Sexy Beast”. Created by Empire Design with finished artwork by Michael Godard this award winning original 2000 UK quad film poster is a fantastic looking piece…a deeply sunburnt Gal (Ray Winstone) relaxing in an over-sized martini glass offset against a dark black background; a simple that stays in the memory. Originally rolled (as issued) this poster displays beautifully and is presented in exceptional condition with some of the best design seen on a modern poster. Incredibly scarce this fine example represents hugely collectable original movie memorabilia from a cult British crime thriller.
Trivia: Ray Winstone travelled to Spain two weeks before filming commenced to get as deep a tan as he could in the time possible and to eat as much as he could to bulk up considerably. He called it “the best rehearsal time I’ve ever had in my life.”

In 2004 a film was released that defined the modern ‘British lad football culture’….that film was “The Football Factory” and the genre is still going strong and showing no sign of flagging. “The Football Factory” stars two actors who have very much cornered the market in ‘loveable’ rogues…Danny Dyer & Tamer Hassan. Trivia: Tommy Johnson walks into a lounge where his friend Rod is playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002). This game was made by Rockstar Games, who are also credited as being Executive Producers for the movie. Also, Danny Dyer who plays Tommy Johnson in Football Factory was the voice of Kent Paul in Vice City.

Francis Ford Coppola’s multi Oscar winning masterpiece “The Godfather” is THE GREATEST FILM EVER MADE with this limited edition art print by the artist Paul Mann, the best ever poster produced for this crime classic. Mann’s artwork and use of colour is breath taking, and this needs to be seen in person to fully appreciate the quality. Printed onto Platinum Etching Paper with a giclee finish it appears painted. A private commission with a print run of only 150 this has been hand-numbered #23. This example displays to excellent effect and is an outstanding example of an alternative movie poster for a film, that is a phenomenon. Commissioned for a limited screening at the Alamo Drafthouse theatre in 2009, this fine example has been hand-numbered #253 from a print run of only 285. “…when Johnny was first starting out, he was signed to a personal services contract with this big-band leader. And as his career got better and better, he wanted to get out of it. But the band leader wouldn’t let him. Now, Johnny is my father’s godson. So my father went to see this bandleader and offered him $10,000 to let Johnny go, but the bandleader said no. So the next day, my father went back, only this time with Luca Brasi. Within an hour, he had a signed release for a certified check of $1000.”

Receiving a very limited release in UK cinemas (it was nearly never released due to financial problems & only saved as a cinematic production by George Harrison, with his Handmade Films stepping in at the 11th hour) meant that any paper is scarce, with the British one sheet featuring Ron Fenton’s artwork, the scarcest of them all (this is the only time I have offered one for sale) making this original 1980 British, country of origin one sheet, a rare find especially in such high grade condition. Fenton’s exciting action montage for this classic British gangster film features an exploding rolls Royce, an exploding casino, mobsters being hung upside down on meathooks in an abattoir and some incredible character portraits – Bob Hoskins in arguably his best film role, alongside Helen Mirren, Eddie Constantine and P.H. Moriarty (as the psychotic hardman Razors). This excellent example is presented rolled (as issued) and represents an exceptional piece of collectable original film memorabilia from a true British gangster classic…“The Mafia? I’ve shit ’em”
