A striking country of origin British UK quad for Danny Boyle’s 2002 post apocalyptic, zombie movie – “28 Days Later”. Designed by the Creative Partnership advertising agency the horror imagery is perfect for the subject matter as piercing bloodshot zombie eyes dominate the imagery atop a silhouetted London skyline all offset in a blood red colour palette. The poster offered here presents and displays to excellent effect being originally rolled (as issued). An impressive and sought after film poster that represents a fantastic piece of modern horror cinematic memorabilia.
Trivia: For the scenes on the motorway, the production got permission to shoot on the M1 on a Sunday morning between 7.00am and 9.00am. The police gradually slowed traffic in both directions. Using 10 cameras, the filmmakers managed to capture a total of one minute of usable footage.

“Out of the darkness…comes the Knight.”
There were some outstanding posters produced for Christopher Nolan’s 2008 “Batman Begins” sequel “The Dark Knight” but this advance “Coming Soon” teaser takes the plaudits…a truly stunning looking film poster designed by Crew Creative Advertising. This International one sheet was printed in USA for use in United Kingdom and Europe and depicts the Batman silhouetted against a striking city scape and is the rarest of any paper for the movie. The photograph really doesn’t do this poster justice. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored example displays and presents to magnificent effect and represents a hugely collectable item of modern original movie memorabilia from a truly outstanding film franchise and an icon of modern pop culture…“The night is darkest before the dawn.”
Trivia: In Sir Michael Caine‘s opinion, Heath Ledger beat the odds and topped Jack Nicholson‘s Joker from Batman (1989): “Jack was like a clown figure, benign but wicked, maybe a killer old uncle. He could be funny and make you laugh. Heath’s gone in a completely different direction to Jack, he’s like a really scary psychopath. He’s a lovely guy and his Joker is going to be a hell of a revelation in this picture.” Caine bases this belief on a scene where The Joker pays a visit to Bruce Wayne’s penthouse. He’d never met Ledger before, so when Ledger arrived and performed, he gave Caine such a fright, he forgot his lines.

Designed by Hive Associates this is a special 3D lenticular poster for Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster superhero movie “Batman: The Dark Knight” and (for the one & only time) Heath Ledger’s show stopping turn as ‘The Joker’. This promotional poster was issued as a gift to VIP attendees and at early press screenings for Nolan’s incredibly successful sequel to Batman Begins. Depending on the viewing angle, you can see either Batman (Christian Bale), Joker (Heath Ledger) or Two-Face (Aaron Eckhart). Presented in dark blue, grey and black tones this is a great looking piece with the gritty dark colours perfectly suiting the subject matter. The King of COOL just got a lot cooler as presented here by Graham Humphreys on this beautiful limited edition Artist Proof alternative movie poster from 2018, undoubtedly one of the best Steve McQueen images. His performance as tough cop Frank Bullitt cemented his iconic movie star status. This excellent example displays and presents to excellent effect with only the very minimum of handling wear, the colours are strong and the graphics and design exceptional. I personally don’t think there is one ‘bad’ poster from the artist and although he is most famous for his horror offerings this break from the norm piece is quite exceptional. Signed by Humphreys in pencil he has also hand-numbered this limited edition Artist Proof of only 10 produced. This beautiful alternative movie poster print represents a fine item of highly desirable movie memorabilia for a true screen and cultural legend.
Trivia: According to Peter Yates, Steve McQueen made a point to keep his head near the open car window during the famous chase scene so that audiences would be reassured that it was he, not a stunt man, who was driving,

The Harry Potter series of films is without doubt the biggest movie franchise of recent years with merchandise and memorabilia from the first instalment “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” very sought after and collectable. Several creative advertising agencies were commissioned to provide a wide and diverse range of posters for the initial release with the United States producing its own series of campaign posters under the amended ‘Sorcerer’s Stone’ title. Arguably one of the best is the painted, full cast artwork by Drew Struzan. Incredibly popular with fans and highly collectable it is no surprise that in 2023 Bottleneck Gallery released two high quality, limited edition prints of the artwork and it is the title style offered here which has been hand-numbered #95/550. The print quality and colour saturation is outstanding and truly a joy to behold in person. Originally rolled (as issued) this lovely example presents to excellent effect and represents is a fine piece of Harry Potter movie memorabilia.

In keeping with the previous four instalments and very much against the norm for modern movie posters, the fifth adventure for everyone’s favourite archaeologist – “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” sees some incredible imagery by the creative arts agency Ten30 Studios. It’s a delightfully typical ‘Indiana Jones’ film poster – full of action with Ford as the featured point of interest with action scenes and supporting characters making up the background, all offset against the titular ‘Dial of Destint’. A perfect addition to the canon. This is a classic adventure poster from the ultimate adventure movie series that presents to excellent effect and is offered in beautiful rolled, unfolded (as issued) unrestored original condition. A truly fine piece of original country of origin movie memorabilia for a character and franchise that has proved to be one of the best loved and highly successful franchises in film history.
Trivia: Mads Mikkelsen is the second actor to play both a James Bond and Indiana Jones villain, having played Le Chiffre in Casino Royale (2006). The first is Julian Glover, who played Aristotle Kristatos in For Your Eyes Only (1981) and Walter Donovan in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
