Truly one of the greatest gangster films ever made Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time In America. An epic, episodic, tale of the lives of a small group of New York City Jewish gangsters spanning over 40 years and thankfully it has a movie poster to match it. This original 1984 US one-sheet features beautiful atmospheric design with a fantastic image of the Brooklyn Bridge and sepia colours that are a perfect complement to Leone’s film. Originally folded (as issued) this rare example is presented in beautiful unrestored condition; it presents and displays to excellent effect and represents an impressive example of very collectable original movie memorabilia from a multi award winning film and one of cinema’s leading directors.
Trivia: Sergio Leone had refused the offer to direct The Godfather (1972), an opportunity he deeply regretted. This may have partly inspired him to try a gangster film. Leone has also notably used the flashback technique pioneered in The Godfather: Part II (1974).

After making his buddy cop hit “48 Hours” Walter Hill directed a film that was inspired by the movies he grew up on. It was a wild homage filled with the kinds of images and themes he loved most about those movies such as: “custom cars, kissing in the rain, neon, trains in the night, high-speed pursuit, rumbles, rock stars, motorcycles, jokes in tough situations, leather jackets and questions of honor.” What Hill created was “Streets of Fire” (1984) a 1980’s meets retro 1950’s musical-action-crime-comedy B-movie epic. The film stars Michael Pare as Tom Cody an ex-soldier who returns to his home to rescue his ex-girlfriend, a singer named Ellen Aim (Diane Lane) from the clutches of evil biker gang leader Raven Shaddock (Willem Dafoe). The music (heavily influenced by Meatloaf’s guru Jim Steinman) featured in the film also reflected the odd 1950’s meets the 1980’s backdrop with its diverse rockabilly, doo-wop, blues and New Wave sounds…Even though “Streets of Fire” didn’t do well when it was released, over the years it has developed a cult following because of its unique qualities. The colourful eye catching poster art by Riehm for the film reflects the furiously stylised aesthetic that was used to tell the rock n’ roll fable of love ! Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored 1984 US one sheet film poster presents superbly and represents a fine piece of original very collectable movie / music memorabilia…“A Rock ‘n’ Roll Fable !”
Trivia: The car that Cody (Michael Pare) drives in the movie is a 1951 Mercury that was chopped, channelled, nosed, and decked.

An extraordinary and surreal masterpiece from Neil Jordan, “The Company of Wolves” is an allegory that examines the journey from innocence to adulthood in an adult re-telling of the much loved fairytale “Little Red Riding Hood”. Certainly a strange story; the mix of sexual symbolism, poetic beauty and gory horror moments seems a bit forced at times – but when it does work it’s utterly fascinating and you can see it has become such a cult film of the genre and well respected by fans of both horror and quality film making. Offered here is a rare 1984 first release country of origin UK quad film poster for this British film featuring an intricate design by Red Ranch with beautiful detailed border artwork by Alan Lee with the storybook illustration attributed to Andy Seymour. A stunning piece of country unique British film poster artwork based upon the original Mike Francis imagery for one the 80’s finest movie’s…. James Cameron’s “The Terminator”. Spawning a number of big screen sequels, TV series’ this is arguably the most influential cinematic offering of the decade ? In 2014 the BFI revealed a special collection of one night only screenings celebrating all things Sci-Fi. Many masterpieces were screened during the event including Cameron’s iconic “The Terminator”. The film marked its 30th anniversary at the event with Francis’ original Quad design reworked by the Steve Crisp IX Gallery depicting Arnie with spiky hair. From 2014 this beautiful near perfect rolled (as issued) example is offered unrestored with minimal handling wear and deep unfaded colours…An excellent example that will not disappoint. A very scarce poster for a film that launched the Hollywood careers of James Cameron & of course Arnie, in his most defining role that represents highly collectable movie poster memorabilia for one of cinema’s greatest movies and a cultural phenomenon.
Trivia: Arnold Schwarzenegger originally wanted to play Kyle Reese. But James Cameron had a different idea and saw Schwarzenegger in the title role of The Terminator and Cameron said to Schwarzenegger, “This movie is not about the hero. It’s about The Terminator.”

Extremely rare, “The Terminator” original Czech poster (landscape format) movie poster from the 1992 re-release in Czechoslovakia. Re-released just two years after the first “Terminator” movie was screened in 1990, this release coincided with “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” premiering in Czechoslovakia. It actually features Arnold Schwarzenegger in T2 costume on the right half of the poster with photos of the original “Terminator” cast on the left. Originally flat/unfolded this displays very well and would make for a fantastic addition to any collection or as a one-off display piece. An eye-catching design and a fine piece of country unique artwork that represents highly collectible movie poster memorabilia for one of cinema’s greatest movies of all time and a pop culture phenomenon that blasted then newcomer’s Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s career into orbit and made James Cameron a Hollywood name.
