John Landis’ “An American Werewolf in London” is one of the best werewolf movies ever made, full of dark humour and gory thrills. As most people know, this has one of the best human/werewolf transformation scenes in cinematic history. Unlike modern monster/horror movies of today, this film has no CGI or computer-aided special effects; what you see on the screen is a physical production made piece for which Rick Baker won the Oscar. This ‘International’ style one-sheet, features totally different art than the ‘regular’ version, with imagery of a blood-red wolf against a black background – it is far more scarce and distinctive than the regular poster, and is far more desired by collectors. Presented in excellent condition this folded (as issued) example displays superbly and is an impressive piece of horror poster artwork and is a hugely desirable piece of cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Rick Baker claimed to have been disappointed by the amount of time spent shooting the face changing shot for the transformation after having spent months working on the mechanism. John Landis only required one take lasting about seven seconds. Baker felt he had wasted his time until seeing the film with an audience that applauded during that one seven second shot.

It appears the Australian poster designers weren’t worried about spoilers. Presented in unrestored condition this folded (as issued) example displays to very good effect and represents a fantastic item of original horror movie memorabilia from a classic of the genre with some truly eye-catching imagery. “I vote we go back to the Slaughtered Lamb”

Humphreys has cleverly included all the main characters, David (Naughton) becoming the werewolf and the suitably named ‘Slaughtered Lamb’. Presented in excellent condition this rolled (as issued) example displays superbly and is an impressive piece of horror poster artwork and is a hugely desirable alternative movie poster.

Walt Disney’s live action super spy ‘James Bond’ spoof movie…“Condorman”. It has all of the cool gadgets, world-wide locations, a sexy femme fatale, creepy Russain villains, and best of all, some of the coolest car and boat chase sequences on film. The concept of the film is a cross between a comic book hero and a secret agent who failed O’Level spying. It has the humour of ‘The Morecambe and Wise Show’ and the special effects of an early Bond film. Regarded as a ‘Golden Age’ for Disney movie posters. It is the artwork from the Walt Disney posters produced during the 1970’s and early 1980’s that were probably the best looking from any period. Offered here is an original UK quad movie poster from the first year of release 1981 with some stunning art by the very talented Brian Bysouth. A fantastic looking, visual feast of a poster with beautiful design and artwork, bright bold colours and stunning all-action imagery featuring the titular “Condorman” offset against rocket firing cars and futuristic speed boats; a fantastic FUN poster. Originally rolled (as issued) this unrestored film poster presents to excellent effect and is a fine example of rare and collectable original movie memorabilia for a much loved and very popular Disney offering.

Trivia: During one take, when Condorman falls into the River Seine, Michael Crawford nearly drowned after the strength of the current was miscalculated. He was dragged five to ten feet under the water before two lifeguards pulled him out just in time. Crawford was willing to do the stunt again but director Charles Jarrott refused to allow it, and put a trained stuntman in his place.

This impressive, country of origin film poster from is stunning and presented in beautiful rolled (as issued) condition. A magnificent unrestored, original example of a truly iconic poster that represents a fine piece of cinematic movie memorabilia, from one of the modern masters of genre film making.

You probably couldn’t find better movie from the 1980’s that introduces such an iconic cult character in Kurt Russell’s Snake Plissken (criminally only used in one more movie) or sums up the period quite like John Carpenter’s quintessential sci-fi actioner “Escape From New York”. Carpenter always a well regarded and popular film maker has enjoyed a huge renaissance in more recent years so it was no surprise that this title was one of four seminal movies by the director re-released by Studio Canal in 2018, remastered in 4K, with the others being “They Live”, “Prince of Darkness” and “The Fog”. All four movies had a strictly limited cinematic release and were accompanied a newly designed poster campaign (quads and one-sheets) by leading artist Matt Ferguson. Ferguson’s unique artistic style is evident throughout the four, each with its very own unique colour palette. A number of these full-size 30″ x 40″ UK quad styles were also released as a limited edition art print by Vice Press. Identical to the cinematic quad, in fact exactly the same – same paper, printer etc these were issued as timed releases each signed and hand-numbered by Matt Ferguson. Offered here is one of these signed art prints numbered #48 from a print run of only 231. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents in excellent condition. A cool, cult poster that represents very collectable & desirable original film memorabilia from one of the greatest and most influential director’s who is still actively working in the film industry.

“Scream as your nightmares come true”
Sam Raimi’s “The Evil Dead” is one of the best horror comedy movies ever made, full of dark humour and gory thrills. As most people know, this is one of the greatest performing films, dollar for dollar in cinematic history. One of the most popular film titles for alternative movie posters artists, this 2016 hand-numbered (#135/220) print by Francesco Francavilla is a standout piece and a proper horror poster as a chainsaw wielding Ash (Bruce Campbell) and the demonically possessed Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss) dominate the blood red coloured imagery. This example has been autographed by the Movie’s acclaimed Director and Writer Sam Raimi and annotated ‘Scream! Scream!’ The signing was carried out in 2023 (June) at FanExpo, Philadelphia and is accompanied by an official JSA Certificate of Authenticity from the event numbered AK96625. Full verification on the certificate can be obtained by inputting the reference number at SpenceLOA.com.
Presented in excellent condition this rolled (as issued) example displays superbly that represents an impressive piece of signed horror artwork and is a hugely desirable alternative movie poster. “I know now that my wife has become host to a Kandarian demon. Trivia: Over his years as a director, Raimi’s 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 (originally bought by Raimi’s father for the family when Sam was 14) has “played” Ash’s car in the Evil Dead movies, Uncle Ben and Aunt May’s car in the Spider-Man movies, Annie’s car in The Gift (2000), and Mrs. Ganoush’s car in Drag Me to Hell (2009), and has made cameos in nearly all of his other movies.

Incredibly rare and much sought after original 1981 UK quad film poster for Sam Raimi’s “Evil Dead”. Raimi’s original cult classic is probably one of the better zombie / supernatural movies ever made, becoming legend with the horror genre shocked audiences around the world and became a phenomenon. Lead actor Bruce Campbell is put through a continually escalating series of horrific encounters that allow him to show the full extent of his talent for slapstick comedy. Palace (Video) Pictures bought the rights to distribute the film and commissioned up and coming horror artist Graham Humphreys to design the quad and video artwork. Released in cinemas and on VHS almost simultaneously the modest outlay for the rights to distribute the film proved to be an excellent deal as it went on to see great box-office takings and thousands of tapes sold, but also resulted in making these theatrical posters a real rarity. Designed to look slightly distressed, this originally ROLLED (as issued) British UK quad film poster is from first year of release, 1981 that displays & presents very well. A great looking piece of horror art that represents an exciting and scarce country unique British piece of original horror film movie memorabilia.

Trivia: The film was shown to Stephen King, and it was his glowing endorsement (which was later used on the film’s ads and posters) of the film which really sold it to the public. The film was bought by New Line Cinema soon after.

After the ‘Star Wars’ style excesses of the previous movie “Moonraker” this is more of a return to a realistic spy thriller in John Glen’s “For Your Eyes Only” and it is director John Glen who has personally signed this poster – a lovely clear signature in black pen on the red background above the title. This original US one sheet is from first year of release 1981 featuring iconic artwork that incorporates the “legs” aspect of Bill Gold’s design and Brian Bysouth’s finished artwork. There is no doubting that this originally folded (as issued) example displays very well and is probably the most recognisable of all the Roger Moore, Bond posters and represents an impressive example of original collectable James Bond movie memorabilia.

After the excesses of the previous movie “Moonraker” this is more of return to a realistic spy thriller in John Glen’s “For Your Eyes Only”. This Australian daybill film poster from first year of release 1981 features the memorable worldwide artwork campaign that incorporates the “legs” aspect of Bill Gold’s design and Brian Bysouth’s beautifully detailed finished all-action artwork. The original movie poster offered here is presented in exceptional unrestored, folded (as issued) condition and is perfectly suited to the thinner portrait style of the daybill. Colours are bright, vibrant and unfaded. Hugely desirable and very collectable, it would be a worthy addition to any collection of James Bond movie memorabilia and is a truly impressive 007 poster.
