There’s little doubt that DREW STRUZAN is an accomplished artist, particularly when it comes to movie posters and the publicity surrounding the release of his new “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” poster has been huge and his output over the past 40 years has been exceptional producing jaw dropping artwork for “Back to The Future, The Thing, Blade Runner, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Hellboy” etc. The list really is endless and all of it of the highest quality.

I would have love to have seen him work alongside Hammer and see what he conjured up…He worked with Spielberg and Amblin on several occasions and it is from this collaboration that our poster for “THE GOONIES” comes…

They call themselves “The Goonies.” The secret caves. The old lighthouse. The lost map. The treacherous traps. The hidden treasure. And Sloth… Join the adventure”…

A virtually faultless example for one of the best feelgood films ever made…Richard Donner’s “The Goonies”. Add to the mix Steven Spielberg & Chris Columbus it was a guaranteed box office hit, but just to make sure they commissioned movie poster maestro Drew Struzan to create the poster. He in turn produced some of the best work of his career as featured here on this original 1985 UK quad film poster.

The landscape format is perfectly suited to his design. Originally folded (as issued) this looks unused and presents and displays superbly. Investment grade example of an 80’s poster that is becoming more and more sought after…

”Goonies never say die!”…
