There were some outstanding posters produced for Christopher Nolan’s 2008 “Batman Begins” sequel “The Dark Knight” but this advance “Coming Soon” teaser takes the plaudits…a truly stunning looking film poster designed by Crew Creative Advertising. This International one sheet was printed in USA for use in United Kingdom and Europe and depicts the Batman silhouetted against a striking city scape and is the rarest of any paper for the movie. The photograph really doesn’t do this poster justice. Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored example displays and presents to magnificent effect and represents a hugely collectable item of modern original movie memorabilia from a truly outstanding film franchise and an icon of modern pop culture…“The night is darkest before the dawn.”
Trivia: In Sir Michael Caine‘s opinion, Heath Ledger beat the odds and topped Jack Nicholson‘s Joker from Batman (1989): “Jack was like a clown figure, benign but wicked, maybe a killer old uncle. He could be funny and make you laugh. Heath’s gone in a completely different direction to Jack, he’s like a really scary psychopath. He’s a lovely guy and his Joker is going to be a hell of a revelation in this picture.” Caine bases this belief on a scene where The Joker pays a visit to Bruce Wayne’s penthouse. He’d never met Ledger before, so when Ledger arrived and performed, he gave Caine such a fright, he forgot his lines.

Posters for Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise have always been of the highest quality and the creative agencies of Ignition and LA have certainly not disappointed with these three one-sheet character designs – Batman, Catwoman and Bane for the climactic chapter for Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, “The Dark Knight Rises”. As Gotham City becomes a Bane induced war-zone the Dark Knight aided by the enigma that is Catwoman stand ready to defend his City. Striking and stylish, these originally rolled (as issued) examples display to excellent effect and provide the perfect triptych of Batman character images from the final instalment of Nolan’s award winning trilogy.

Trivia: As with the previous two movies, Bruce Wayne’s main car is a Lamborghini. (Batman Begins (2005): Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster, The Dark Knight (2008): Lamborghini Murciélago LP640, this movie: Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4. The name “Murciélago” means “bat” in Spanish.

Carroll incorporated into the poster design used in the marketing campaign. It’s a clever, striking black and white piece featuring Michael Keaton appearing to ‘fly’ whilst in the far background his character “BiRDMAN” looks on as do most of the excellent supporting cast as their images appear on the ‘off-Broadway’ bill boards. This is a rare example of the 2014 International one-sheet movie poster. “Go back to where it all began. She’s Done Running From Her Past!”
Creative design agency LA pulled out all the stops when they issued the marketing campaign posters for the Marvel Studios’ long-awaited blockbuster “Black Widow”. This original 2021 US / International style one-sheet movie poster for Marvel’s all action super hero romp is certainly impressive with Natasha Romanoff, better known as the deadly ‘Black Widow’ beautifully realised and taking centre stage; standing proud and battle ready. Originally rolled (as issued) this looks stunning and displays and presents to excellent effect. One of the best looking posters to date for any of the prolific Marvel Studios releases with spectacular imagery. A hugely important and collectable piece of movie memorabilia from the Studio that can do no wrong for if first appearances in movies follows the same trend as the comics then with their rumoured appearances in the forthcoming ‘Thunderbolts’ production of Florence Pugh, Taskmaster and Red Guardian appearing in this instalment it is a must have item that represents a fine piece of collectable modern cinema movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Black Widow’s wrist-mounted tasers, commonly referred to as her Widow bites or gauntlets, for the first time are painted gold. This is an homage to Natasha’s classic Black Widow costume from the comics, which was an all-black suit with a gold ringed belt and gold gauntlets.

An original 1991 US/International one-sheet film poster for Martin Scorsese’s suspenseful horror, thriller “Cape Fear”. Designed by Tom Martin and John Alvin, this is an incredible looking poster – the menace in De Niro’s stare is truly unsettling. Offered rolled (as issued) it presents to excellent effect with amazing dark colour tones, enhanced with blue touches giving not just the effect of water but also a lightening strike (so integral to the film’s finale). The water effect is further highlighted by the wave effect in the lower half of the poster – this is part of the printing with the poster itself presenting perfectly flat. An impressive and desirable film poster that represents a fantastic piece of modern horror cinematic memorabilia appealing to movie poster collectors and fans of Scorsese and De Niro.
Trivia: Gregory Peck, who starred in Cape Fear (1962), appears as Cady’s lawyer. Robert Mitchum played Max Cady in the 1962 version, and appears as Lieutenant Elgart. Martin Balsam played Mark Dutton in the 1962 version, and the judge in this version.

Trivia: Originally cameo appearances were planned in the film for James “Logan” Howlett (Wolverine) and Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto), who were present during World War II (Logan was a soldier and Lehnsherr was in an internment camp). These cameos were scrapped due to rights issues.

This is the much rarer and sought after ‘lucky dice’ style. A very cool, good looking poster design that presents here to excellent effect being originally rolled (as issued). Totally original and unrestored the colours are deep and unfaded and the imagery crisp and sharp, it displays superbly and represents an extremely collectable piece of original 1990’s cinema memorabilia from a truly ‘great’ modern gangster movie.
Trivia: “Casino” was filmed entirely in the Las Vegas valley. The casino and office scenes were filmed in the famed Riviera Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas strip, and the driving scene in the beginning of the movie was filmed on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas, which is no longer open to automobile traffic.
