An original 1990 Italian film poster for the quintessential classic romance “Pretty Woman”. This beautiful originally example certainly impresses in the large format style of an Italian One Panel (2-Fogli). A classic 90s poster featuring the two stars – Julia Roberts and Richard Gere with imagery that was used for the worldwide marketing campaign. Often seen as one THE defining and most loved movies of the 1990s it represents a fantastic piece of movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Julia Roberts‘s head was superimposed on Shelley Michelle‘s body for the poster. Richard Gere‘s hair is brown on the poster, but going grey in the movie.

Based upon Rob Bottin’s iconic ‘robo’ suit design Mike Bryan produced the perfect poster to complement his graphics. A truly striking image for Paul Verhoeven’s ultra violent sci-fi masterpiece “Robocop” that is perfectly suited to the landscape format of the British quad and has been SIGNED BY SEVEN (7) OF THE CAST. From original year of release 1987 this originally folded (as issued) example presents and displays very well and has been signed by seven (7) of the cast with most adding their character name or a quote from the film; Peter Weller, ROBO 10/18/24 – Nancy Allen, Lewis, Murphy it’s you – Ronny Cox, Dick Jones, He’s my cyborg you idiot – Ray Wise, Leon, Don’t touch me man! – S.D. Nemeth – Mark Carlton, Miller – Sage Parker, Dr Tyler . This impressive film poster represents a fantastic piece of original collectable movie memorabilia from one of the defining movies of the 80’s complemented by the addition of so many autographs from the main cast . The ‘original’ & BEST, “Robocop” is fondly remembered and spawned a popular TV show, two sequels and was recently remade as a ‘big budget’ CGI sci-fi actioner…“I’d buy that for a dollar !”

Trivia: Realizing that the film was running behind schedule and over budget, director Paul Verhoeven and producer Jon Davison purposely did not film one crucial scene: Officer Murphy’s death. When production wrapped, they went back to Los Angeles and grimly informed the execs that Murphy’s death had not been filmed. After watching the footage they did film, the execs were so astonished by the aesthetics and performances they gave the filmmakers more money and they filmed the scene in a redecorated warehouse in Los Angeles.

Original 1982 UK Quad movie poster for the best original series Star Trek movie ever “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”. Originally folded (as issued) this fantastic looking poster displays to very good effect with lovely deep, unfaded colours and fantastic photo-montage imagery featuring all the key cast members, Kirk, Spock and the crew of USS Enterprise never looked better. A fine piece of sci-fi movie memorabilia and one of the best looking and most collectable film posters for the much loved franchise.
Trivia: The famous “Space, the final frontier” monologue is heard for the first time since Star Trek (1966), now narrated by Leonard Nimoy, however this has been changed slightly. Instead of saying, “…its five-year mission…” and “to seek out new life,” this now says, “her ongoing mission…” and “to seek out new lifeforms”.

Absolutely beautiful, 1980 US one sheet movie poster for the George Lucas sci fi classic sequel “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”. This Advance Studio style design features an incredible over-sized image of Darth Vader (so pivotal in this instalment of the franchise). After last being seen spinning off into outer space, the character of Vader was so popular after the first film that Lucas needed to assure the public that he was back for the sequel. Being originally folded (as issued) and totally unrestored this stunning example displays and presents to a very high standard with deep rich unfaded dark colours and represents a fine addition for any collector of original movie posters or Star Wars fan memorabilia.
Trivia: In order to avoid sharing creative rights, George Lucas decided to avoid using a major studio to finance this movie. Instead, he bankrolled the $18 million production himself, using a combination of his profits from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) and a bank loan. Although the move was risky, it paid off several times over. Lucas recovered his investment within three months of the movie’s release.

For the third chapter of the original Star Wars trilogy Lucasfilm successfully chose a number of internationally acclaimed artists to present a varied series of designs for the Worldwide advertising campaign. Much like Darth Vader dominated the advance poster campaign for “Episode V” (the Dark) it is Tim Reamer’s single Lightsaber imagery that heralds the the third and final instalment (the Light) of the original trilogy. The poster here is the scarce large format (one-sheet size posters are printed in incredibly low numbers when compared to the more common B2s) Japanese B1 one-sheet by Tim Reamer which features Luke’s lightsaber pointing high to the stars. Presented here in fantastic unrestored folded (as issued) condition this beautiful example looks magnificent; deep unfaded vibrant colours where you can believe the lightsaber really is pulsing with power. An impressive piece of original Star Wars cinematic movie memorabilia from what was (until recently) the defining chapter in the Star Wars original trilogy. From a personal viewpoint I feel the Japanese typography perfectly suits the design and only adds to the overall effect.

Trivia: Leia strangling Jabba was an homage to the death of Luca Brasi in The Godfather (1972). George Lucas worked as an assistant editor on that movie.

A personal favourite; film and poster. (IMHO) McQueen’s best performance, he was the ‘The Kid’…Without doubt one of the best looking McQueen film poster images. With design and artwork by Georges Allard this original 1965 French ‘Medium‘ Affiche film poster for “The Cincinnati Kid” (Le Kid de Cincinnati) is a stunning piece. Deep, rich colours and beautiful painted artwork, very striking and a fantastically rare French poster featuring country unique imagery; effective and memorable as McQueen’s presence dominates (rightly so) the poster. A real find in such high grade original condition. Totally unrestored this folded (as issued) example displays and presents to excellent effect and represents a scarce & highly collectable item of authentic movie memorabilia from one of the great Steve McQueen performances…“You’re good, kid, but as long as I’m around you’re second best. You might as well learn to live with it.”
Trivia: The rather gratuitous fight scene in the film was added at the instigation of Steve McQueen who had it written into his contract that he feature in an action scene.

An original country of origin British UK quad film poster from the original year of release 1973 for Fred Zinnemann’s terrorist thriller “The Day of the Jackal”. The movie is based on the best-selling novel by Frederick Forsyth which sees a lone sniper tasked with the assassination of French President Charles De Gaulle and it it this the image of Charles De Gaulle reflected in the assassins eye (Edward Fox as the titular Jackal) that provides some remarkable pencil drawn imagery in Michael Leonard’s impressive artwork featured on the UK quad movie poster; a very cleverly designed piece. Originally folded (as issued) it displays and presents to very good effect. A marvellous looking poster that certainly impresses and is scarce in this unrestored condition. A hugely collectable and sought after film poster that represents a fine example of original British movie memorabilia.
Trivia: A so-called “explosive bullet” does not contain any explosive material. It is drilled through the center, a drop of mercury is put inside, and the tip of the bullet sealed. When the bullet hits an object the mercury maintains its velocity, flying through the drilled channel and impacting the tip of the bullet from the inside. This causes the bullet to fragment.

“Bolt Your Doors. Lock Your Windows. There’s something in The Fog !”
After the huge success of Halloween John Carpenter quickly followed up with the equally creepy horror The Fog. Taking creepy imagery from the movie the US one-sheet features silhouetted zombie pirates in a ‘fog’ filed room. The original movie poster offered here is from first year of release, 1980 and displays to excellent effect. Originally folded (as issued) it is presented in unrestored condition with only minimal handling wear. Great horror imagery on a genuinely rare cult classic from the Carpenter archives that represents extremely desirable and collectable movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Although this was essentially a low budget independent movie, John Carpenter chose to shoot the movie in anamorphic widescreen Panavision. This decision gave the movie a grander feel for the viewer so this didn’t seem like a low budget horror movie.

A stunning and memorable original 1977 US one sheet movie poster for Edgar Rice Burroughs’ direct sequel to the successful “The Land That Time Forgot”. Originally folded (as issued) this totally unrestored example has stood the test of time very well and displays to excellent effect and represents a fantastic piece of rare original film memorabilia from a much loved series of fantasy adventure films.

One of the best time-travel romps ever made and a personal favourite for a bit of me time “Time After Time” sees inventor and writer H.G. Wells pursue the notorious London serial killer Jack the Ripper through time from Victorian England to late 1970’s San Francisco. The British UK quad film poster that accompanied its release is a clever design from first year of release, 1979 and features a stop watch transforming into a digital clock and a top hat and tails attired Wells’ taking on the appearance of a 1970’s attired man. Originally folded (as issued) this excellent unrestored example displays superbly with only minimal age and handling wear that represents a fine item of collectable film movie memorabilia.

Trivia: A deleted scene featured Wells meeting a punk who was playing extremely loud boom-box music on a bus in San Francisco. Nicholas Meyer later reused this idea in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986).
