“The Breakfast Club” was a massive blockbuster hit when released in 1985 establishing the careers of its five stars – Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall and it has gone on to attain cult status, as one of the must watch movies of the 1980s. This original country of origin US one-sheet is from the first year of release, 1985 and was designed by the Seiniger Agency and features a fantastic cast shot. Rolled (as issued) this example presents to excellent effect that represents a fine example of rare, collectable cinematic movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The David Bowie quote at the beginning of the movie is pulled from his song “Changes”. It can be found on his 1971 album, “Hunky Dory”. Ally Sheedy (Allison Reynolds) suggested the quote to John Hughes, who liked it, and thus included it in the opening.

Tim Burton seems like the only being on the planet who could come with characters such as the ones found in “Edward Scissorhands” The film is literally a tale likely to be found in a child’s dreams. It creates a world of its own, inhabiting unforgettable characters, events that should be shared with generations This film is a visual masterpiece; a movie that deserves its reputation as a timeless “Burtonesque” classic. This original 1990 US one-sheet perfectly captures all of Burton’s stylish elements. Outstanding character driven design featuring the scissor-handed Edward and his love – Winona Ryder. This superb rolled (as issued) example looks beautiful and displays to superb effect, representing a a fantastic piece of original cinematic movie memorabilia for an innovative and popular film maker.
Trivia: Edward’s hair is based on Robert Smith of The Cure‘s hair.

An incredible country of origin, US one-sheet poster for one of the greatest cult horror movies ever made…Frank Henenlotter‘s “Frankenhooker”. Featuring country unique artwork, this really is eye-catching imagery created for this cult horror-comedy title. Any paper for this title is extremely sought after and also ultra scarce, with this being the first time we have ever offered a one-sheet for sale – and we are delighted that it is a country of origin example, which has always been a personal favourite of mine. Originally folded (as issued) this displays very well and represents scarce cinematic movie memorabilia for a film that has become one of the most desirable titles of the genre…“A Terrifying Tale Of Sluts And Bolts.”
Trivia: Elizabeth has the last name of Shelley. This is an homage to Mary Shelley, the author of the original “Frankenstein”.

Truly one of the greatest gangster films ever made Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time In America. An epic, episodic, tale of the lives of a small group of New York City Jewish gangsters spanning over 40 years and thankfully it has a movie poster to match it. This original 1984 US one-sheet features beautiful atmospheric design with a fantastic image of the Brooklyn Bridge and sepia colours that are a perfect complement to Leone’s film. Originally folded (as issued) this rare example is presented in beautiful unrestored condition; it presents and displays to excellent effect and represents an impressive example of very collectable original movie memorabilia from a multi award winning film and one of cinema’s leading directors.
Trivia: Sergio Leone had refused the offer to direct The Godfather (1972), an opportunity he deeply regretted. This may have partly inspired him to try a gangster film. Leone has also notably used the flashback technique pioneered in The Godfather: Part II (1974).

Absolutely beautiful, 1980 US one sheet movie poster for the George Lucas sci fi classic sequel “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”. This Advance Studio style design features an incredible over-sized image of Darth Vader (so pivotal in this instalment of the franchise). After last being seen spinning off into outer space, the character of Vader was so popular after the first film that Lucas needed to assure the public that he was back for the sequel. Being originally folded (as issued) and totally unrestored this stunning example displays and presents to a very high standard with deep rich unfaded dark colours and represents a fine addition for any collector of original movie posters or Star Wars fan memorabilia.
Trivia: In order to avoid sharing creative rights, George Lucas decided to avoid using a major studio to finance this movie. Instead, he bankrolled the $18 million production himself, using a combination of his profits from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977) and a bank loan. Although the move was risky, it paid off several times over. Lucas recovered his investment within three months of the movie’s release.

“Bolt Your Doors. Lock Your Windows. There’s something in The Fog !”
After the huge success of Halloween John Carpenter quickly followed up with the equally creepy horror The Fog. Taking creepy imagery from the movie the US one-sheet features silhouetted zombie pirates in a ‘fog’ filed room. The original movie poster offered here is from first year of release, 1980 and displays to excellent effect. Originally folded (as issued) it is presented in unrestored condition with only minimal handling wear. Great horror imagery on a genuinely rare cult classic from the Carpenter archives that represents extremely desirable and collectable movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Although this was essentially a low budget independent movie, John Carpenter chose to shoot the movie in anamorphic widescreen Panavision. This decision gave the movie a grander feel for the viewer so this didn’t seem like a low budget horror movie.

A beautiful, US one-sheet movie poster for Brian G. Hutton’s action packed World War II thriller “Where Eagles Dare” featuring the incredible action adventure artwork of Frank McCarthy. The cable car scene is one of the best remembered and most famous scenes from the film with McCarthy incorporating all the excitement in his imagery with photographic images of the main stars Burton, Eastwood and Mary Ure. One of the most collected British action adventure war films ever produced, with the fine originally tri-folded (as issued) example offered here from the 1973 re-release being presented in original and unrestored condition. Of all the action/adventure films I deal with there is no doubt that “Where Eagles Dare” appears to have an incredible fan base and this excellent poster represents a fine piece of original movie memorabilia.
Trivia: Despite Clint Eastwood‘s reputation for violence in other films, his character kills more people in this film than any other Eastwood character.

A rare, first release, 1968 Style B US one-sheet movie poster for Brian G. Hutton’s action packed World War II thriller “Where Eagles Dare”. This photographic imagery shows the famous drinking scene, taking place in Schloss Adler’s bierkeller as Richard Burton & Clint Eastwood (circled on the poster) mix with nazi officers guarding the castle. A really clever and memorable design that, because it was so different and out of the norm for an action adventure movie was printed in particularly low numbers when compared to the regular design; genuinely very, very hard to find. One of the most collected British action adventure war films ever produced. Originally folded (as issued) the example offered here has been professionally conservation linen backed to a very high standard by Backing to the Future (Their Certificate of Authenticity #2796 is included) and now appears rolled – it really does display to exceptional effect. Of all the action / adventure films I deal with there is no doubt that “Where Eagles Dare” appears to have an incredible fan base and this excellent poster represents a fine piece of original movie memorabilia.
Trivia: The driving force behind this movie was Richard Burton‘s stepson, who wanted to see his stepfather in a good old-fashioned adventure movie. Burton approached producer Elliott Kastner for ideas, who asked Alistair MacLean. At that time, most of MacLean’s novels had either been made into movies, or were in the process of being filmed. Kastner persuaded MacLean to write a new story. Six weeks later, MacLean delivered the script.
