One of the most impressive ‘arthouse’ film posters of recent memory; a true visual pop art masterpiece featuring Lili Taylor (playing Valerie Jean Solanas) shooting a revolver all in the style of an Andy Warhol screen printed canvas. The one-sheet of Mary Harron’s controversial true-life documentary for “I Shot Andy Warhol” is a piece of art in its own right. The US imagery although similar to the British design, which is in block colour, is actually in black and white and because of this you I think it’s the more pleasing design and you would be hard pressed to find a better looking poster. Being an independent ‘arthouse’ film meant it was shown in a very small, limited amount of cinemas, making these posters are incredibly hard to come by. Totally original and unrestored this rolled (as issued) poster example displays to exceptional effect and represents a superb example of genuinely scarce modern film memorabilia.
Trivia: The filmmakers were given permission to reproduce some of Andy Warhol’s paintings and silk screens for the set, but they had to destroy them after filming.

A return to fun and adventure for Steven Spielberg’s 1989 sequel “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”. This original advance ‘He’s back in an all new adventure. Memorial Day 1989’ US one-sheet movie poster features the artwork of Drew Struzan, who has perfectly captured the likenesses of the lead character – Indiana Jones as played by Harrison Ford. Originally rolled, as issued to the cinema this superb example displays to fine effect being presented in totally unrestored condition and represents a fantastic piece of original movie memorabilia for an incredibly popular and well loved series of films.
Trivia: Sir Sean Connery was always Steven Spielberg‘s first choice to play Indiana Jones’ father, as an inside joke to say that James Bond is the father of Indiana Jones. If that had failed, Gregory Peck and Jon Pertwee were back-up choices for the role. Spielberg had always wanted to do a Bond movie, but did Indiana Jones as a James Bond-type character. In keeping with the James Bond theme, the movie has many Bond movie co-stars: John Rhys-Davies, Alison Doody, Julian Glover, Stefan Kalipha, Pat Roach, Eugene Lipinski, Michael Byrne, and Vernon Dobtcheff.

Spiros Angelikas’ cleverly designed ‘Trust Him’ taglined poster certainly reinforces that aspect for Steven Spielberg’s 1984 prequel / sequel “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”. This original country of origin Advance teaser US one-sheet movie poster highlights the titular archaeologist hero bathed in a red (blood red ?) light surrounded by a dark black embossed patterned border. Originally rolled, as issued to the cinema this superb example displays to excellent effect being presented in totally unrestored high grade condition. Often seen as the ‘weakest’ of the franchise (not so in my book) this is considerably rarer than posters from the other films and is genuinely hard to find in this format and represents a fantastic piece of scarce original movie memorabilia for an incredibly popular and well loved series of films.
Trivia: While filming the whipping scene, the crew played a practical joke on Harrison Ford. While he was chained to a large stone, Barbra Streisand appeared, dressed in a leather dominatrix outfit. She proceeded to whip him, saying “That’s for Hanover Street (1979), the worst movie I ever saw.” She continued whipping him for Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977), and making all of that money. Carrie Fisher then threw herself in front of Ford to protect him, and Irvin Kershner chided director Steven Spielberg. “Is this how you run your movies ?” This entire sequence was filmed.

There is no doubting the cinematic and cultural influence of Batman’s arch nemesis The Joker with the 2019 offering looking to be the best yet. Joaquin Phoenix stars as Arthur ‘Joker’ Fleck in Todd Phillips’ “Joker”. A production that was hugely anticipated by the fans as he presented his own unique take on the ‘Clown Prince of Crime’ and the fans a movie goers were not disappointed. Creative arts agency BOND have designed a truly stunning advance ‘October 4’ film poster for the 2019 US one sheet. This version has been dubbed the ‘Smile’ style by fans released for this critically acclaimed and commercially record breaking film and destined to become as iconic as Phoenix’s portrayal of DC’s ‘anti-superhero’. Originally rolled (as issued) this totally unrestored example presents and displays to excellent effect without a blemish of note and represents a hugely collectable and totally cool piece of movie memorabilia for one of popular culture’s most recognised villains.
Trivia #1: The stairs in the movie are at 1170 Shakespeare Avenue, Bronx, New York with the footage of him dancing down them to the Gary Glitter song ‘Rock and Roll Part 2’ being used for the film, trailer and poster.
Trivia #2: The Joker’s make-up is very similar to John Wayne Gacy‘s, a serial killer who would often entertain children while dressed as Pogo the Clown. This make-up style was shunned by working clowns at the time, as they strictly prohibit “sharp” ends in their make-up, as it scares children.

“David Lynch’s most bizarre movie to date”
The thing that’s great about “Lost Highway” is there is no absolute solution to the events in the film, everything about the film is open to interpretation and after you watch it you either need to thing and talk about it for a couple of hours or watch it again. In “Mulholland Drive”, people say that it needs to be watched twice to be fully understood. “Lost Highway” needs to be watched about 3 or 4 time to be slightly understood and will probably never be fully understood. All the clues are there in the film but to include all of them to make sense is very difficult. However it is very rewarding to try and find out the meaning of “Lost Highway”.With stark minimal design this original 1997 US One Sheet movie poster for looks stunning. With simple, distinctive, eye-catching imagery, featuring eye-catching half and half imagery of Bill Pullman and Patricia Arquette this original rolled (as issued) example presents superbly. A scarce film poster from one of Cinema’s most revered cult directors.
Trivia: According to co-writer and director David Lynch, the first scene in the film is based on an incident that occurred in his own life. He claims his intercom buzzed early one morning and when he answered it, a voice on the other end that he didn’t recognize said, “Dick Laurant is dead.” However, by the time he got to the front of the house to look out the window, there was no one outside.

Original Gramercy Pictures country of origin, one-sheet movie poster for the slapstick Kevin Smith romantic comedy, “Mallrats” starring Shannen Doherty, Jeremy London, Claire Forlani and Jason Lee. All of whom are featured on this 1995 comic book style film poster by Drew Struzan. This is the story of two friends who both lose their girlfriends on the same day and spend the rest of the day hanging out in a local mall with their wacky friends. With a clever design, Struzan does a great job of representing the characters, making them instantly recognisable; the addition of Stan Lee is a nice touch and he looks particularly cool. It displays to excellent effect and is presented in unrestored, rolled (as issued) condition. A rare high grade item of movie memorabilia for a very collectable ‘cult’ comedy film.
Trivia: Brodie’s comic book collection seen in the movie was director Kevin Smith‘s collection at the time (which has grown considerably since). The collection is what Smith was able to purchase back after selling his original collection to finance production of Clerks (1994).

Produced in 1991 for the 25th Anniversary of the TV series “Star Trek”, acclaimed artist Drew Struzan has produced one of the best images of William Shatner as the iconic character – Captain James T. Kirk. This example has been autographed by the actor William Shatner and annotated with his character name ‘James T. Kirk’. The autograph was obtained in 2023 (August 12th) at the Steel City Con, Monroeville, Pennsylvania and is accompanied by an official Certificate of Authenticity from the event. The poster alone is impressive and when coupled with the signature it represents an incredible and a very collectable item of Star Trek memorabilia movie from Gene Roddenberry’s iconic and hugely influential production.
Trivia: ‘Star Trek’ is universally acknowledged as the most successful franchise in television history, and one of the most successful in all of Hollywood history. After making his buddy cop hit “48 Hours” Walter Hill directed a film that was inspired by the movies he grew up on. It was a wild homage filled with the kinds of images and themes he loved most about those movies such as: “custom cars, kissing in the rain, neon, trains in the night, high-speed pursuit, rumbles, rock stars, motorcycles, jokes in tough situations, leather jackets and questions of honor.” What Hill created was “Streets of Fire” (1984) a 1980’s meets retro 1950’s musical-action-crime-comedy B-movie epic. The film stars Michael Pare as Tom Cody an ex-soldier who returns to his home to rescue his ex-girlfriend, a singer named Ellen Aim (Diane Lane) from the clutches of evil biker gang leader Raven Shaddock (Willem Dafoe). The music (heavily influenced by Meatloaf’s guru Jim Steinman) featured in the film also reflected the odd 1950’s meets the 1980’s backdrop with its diverse rockabilly, doo-wop, blues and New Wave sounds…Even though “Streets of Fire” didn’t do well when it was released, over the years it has developed a cult following because of its unique qualities. The colourful eye catching poster art by Riehm for the film reflects the furiously stylised aesthetic that was used to tell the rock n’ roll fable of love ! Originally rolled (as issued) this beautiful unrestored 1984 US one sheet film poster presents superbly and represents a fine piece of original very collectable movie / music memorabilia…“A Rock ‘n’ Roll Fable !”
Trivia: The car that Cody (Michael Pare) drives in the movie is a 1951 Mercury that was chopped, channelled, nosed, and decked.
