An incredible looking movie poster full of glitter and glamour, designed by the creative advertising agency A&E Networks, with colourful imagery perfectly in keeping with the subject matter (the most famous and talked about nightclub of the 1970s and 80s) for Matt Tyrnauer’s “Studio 54”. • Superman-III-Movie-Poster

    Superman III

    £75.00

“Synthetic kryptonite laced with tobacco tar splits Superman in two: good Clark Kent and bad Man of Steel.”

The third entry in the Salkind’s ‘Superman’ canon sees Richard Lester’s more comedic action touch as Christopher Reeve again dons the red cape in the 1983 release “Superman III”. Humour is largely provided by an excellent over the top performance (in reality just playing himself) by comic genius Richard Pryor as computer genius Gus Gorman. And it is Reeve and Pryor who feature prominently on this British UK quad film poster. The colourful all-action design sees Superman in full flight smashing his way to defeat the ‘villain’ Gus’ ‘super-computer’ Gorman From first year of release (1983) this rare folded (as issued) example displays and presents to excellent effect with only very minimal handling wear. Beautiful artwork and vivid unfaded colours this is an exceptional unrestored  example of very collectable original movie memorabilia.

“He always wanted to be special… but he never expected THIS!”

Original 1985 UK Quad movie poster for the best movie poster Michael J. Fox made, that isn’t “Back to the Future”, Rod Daniel’s teenage angst comedy with a werewolf twist “Teen Wolf”. With artwork by Lucinda Cowell, I personally feel it displays far better in the landscape format of the UK quad than the equivalent one-sheet. A great piece of 1980s nostalgia, presented in near perfect condition for one of cinema’s best loved stars.

  • The-Company-of-Wolves-Movie-Poster

    The Company of Wolves

    £75.00

“The desire…the fantasy…the nightmare…Where fairy stories meet horror stories”

An extraordinary and surreal masterpiece from Neil Jordan, “The Company of Wolves” is an allegory that examines the journey from innocence to adulthood in an adult re-telling of the much loved fairytale “Little Red Riding Hood”. Certainly a strange story; the mix of sexual symbolism, poetic beauty and gory horror moments seems a bit forced at times – but when it does work it’s utterly fascinating and you can see it has become such a cult film of the genre and well respected by fans of both horror and quality film making. Offered here is a rare 1984 first release country of origin UK quad film poster for this British film featuring an intricate design by Red Ranch with beautiful  detailed border artwork by Alan Lee with the storybook illustration attributed to Andy Seymour. An extremely desirable movie poster from a ‘golden age’ of pre-CGI physical movie special effects and a period of superior werewolf inspired films that is presented in excellent original unrestored folded (as issued) condition and represents a fine example of rare and collectable original British horror movie memorabilia.

  • The Fog Movie Poster

    The Fog

    £225.00

“Bolt Your Doors. Lock Your Windows. There’s something in The Fog !”

After the huge success of “Halloween” John Carpenter quickly followed up with the equally memorable horror “The Fog” – a guilty pleasure film of mine as I love how well Carpenter develops the tension and tells the story with great cinematography, sound, and use of locations. Carpenter always a well regarded and popular film maker has enjoyed a huge renaissance in more recent years so it was no surprise that this title was one of four seminal movies by the director re-released by Studio Canal in 2018, remastered in 4K, with the others being “They Live”, “Escape From New York” and “Prince of Darkness”. All four movies had a strictly limited cinematic release and were accompanied a newly designed poster campaign (quads and one-sheets) by leading artist Matt Ferguson. Ferguson’s unique artistic style is evident throughout the four, each with its very own unique colour palette. A number of these full-size 30″ x 40″ UK quad styles were also released as a limited edition art print by Vice Press. Identical to the cinematic quad, in fact exactly the same – same paper, printer etc these were issued as timed releases each signed and hand-numbered by Matt Ferguson. Offered here is one of these signed art prints numbered #48 from a print run of only 224. Originally rolled (as issued) it presents in excellent condition. A cool, cult poster that represents very collectable & desirable original film memorabilia from one of the greatest and most influential director’s who is still actively working in the film industry.

Trivia: Although this was essentially a low budget independent movie, John Carpenter chose to shoot the movie in anamorphic widescreen Panavision. This decision gave the movie a grander feel for the viewer so this didn’t seem like a low budget horror movie.

“What else are you gonna do on a Saturday? “

In 2004 a film was released that defined the modern ‘British lad football culture’….that film was “The Football Factory” and the genre is still going strong and showing no sign of flagging. “The Football Factory” stars two actors who have very much cornered the market in loveable’ rogues…Danny Dyer & Tamer Hassan. • The-Last-Victory-Movie-Poster

    The Last Victory

    £60.00

“The curious title refers to the last time the district of Civetta won the Palio in 1979. Il Palio is distinctive because the jockeys do not represent the 17 districts of the Siennese region – the horses do. This film trains its eye on the Civetta community, desperate for a win in the race after a drought of over 20 years”

John Appel’s excellent and entertaining docu-drama based upon the annual horserace called the ‘Palio’ held in the city’s center piazza (Piazza del Campo) in Siena, Italy. A very limited cinema release in ‘art-house’ & ‘independent’ theatres meant the posters for this enjoyable film are in extremely short supply, which is a shame as the design and production quality is of a very high standard. The imagery (and it’s not often I speak positively about a single image photographic film poster) is excellent, very colourful with genuine warmth and passion; the spirit of the ‘palio’ is truly embodied in it. The original UK quad film poster offered here is from first year of release 2004 and as it was originally rolled (as issued) it looks and presents to very good effect…A very rare find, this scarce, exceptional looking piece represents very collectable & desirable movie memorabilia.
